ART: CHANGE OF VENUE!
So we are back!
What a crazy few days this has been.
The Bad News: We lost five really important tech days, and all our PR now has the wrong location.
The Good: We reached out to the theater community and the response was great. We are ready despite the loss of days, and the show has found a new home. Our new venue is:
Threshold Dance Theatre
4780 West Harmon Aveneu Suite 10 Las Vegas NV, 89103 (kinda behind the Orleans.)
Please come out and see us, we've been working really hard on this and were devestated when it all got pear shaped.

what is happening with ART
The below is a paste from Altas theatre blog. just putting it up here for any wondering why my show is not up.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On Friday, November 23rd, Atlas was informed that we would not be permitted to perform in the Michael Wardle Gallery in the Arts Factory. Mr. Wardle was informed, via written correspondence by Wes Myles (owner of the Arts Factory), that, according to Michael's lease, all outside events brought into the space need written approval by Mr. Myles. Mr. Wardle had not secured said "written permission", so we wouldn't be allowed to perform.
Now, this makes us curious...
1) Why would "written permission" suddenly become needed? I ask this simply because we know other groups have used the Wardle Gallery as a performance and/or rehearsal space before, and did not secure "written permission"; they were not required to have it. These groups also dealt directly with Mr. Wardle with Mr. Myles having little or no involvement (till now).
2) Mr. Myles is owner of the Arts Factory. Why would he want to deny an event in his facility, that will only bring more people to it- especially people who probably haven't been there before...
3) Mr. Myles is owner/co owner (not sure of exact title), of a building directly north of the Arts Factory (1025 First St- I believe). In this facility, the Beckett Festival is taking place. Ernest Hemmings, who is organizing the festival, has had a long-standing, collaborative relationship with Mr. Myles; with Mr. Hemmings running SEAT at one point (located in the Arts Factory), and Mr. Myles assisting past Beckett Festivals with such things as performance space in the Arts Factory.
Now, call us crazy, but could there be another reason why they didn't want our show going on at the same time as the Fest across the way?
Now, remember, our show was running Nov 30-Dec 15th.
Well, it will run again- no worries! Just going to shift the dates back and bit, and the show will go on! No censures allowed!
Oh, in case you didn't know...the Fest is running from now till Dec. 15th....hey, that was when...we...were...running...
Ah, yes, well- you figure it out....
And, yet! Mr. Myles, via Mr. Wardle (cause he wouldn't talk on the phone to us), said we could do our show after the run of the Fest....So...we can't do it when the Fest is on. But, we can afterwards...once the Fest is done...hmm....
But, we'll be around...we'll be around....keep your eyes out! Dates soon!!! New venue to come!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What bullshit. I am disgusted with the whole seires of events. Atlas is being very PC with the handeling of the situation- too much worry about slander etc.
I think it's very obvious what is happening, and in my book both the Festival, and the Arts Factory can go fuck themselves.

In Rainbows
So just got the new Radiohead album...on a first pass I really like it.
I think I like House of Cards the best so far, but Nude is also good.
If you have yet to hear the radness you can get it online (and only on line till December) at
www.inrainbows.com
Not sure how much the regular download is...I geeked out and pre-ordered the whole shabang.

The sound that makes me want to cry.
Current mood: sad
Davey has a little cough. We think he might just have allergies, but we are taking him to the docs in the morning to be on the safe side. Everytime he wakes himself up coughing I get so sad. He is so little and just wants to sleep. :(
You can see it in his face that he is trying to be happy and smiling and giggle, but then coughing and sneezing and puffy sad eyes and my night is ruined. Poor little boy.

Behold the most perfect human ever! Weighing in at 6 pounds and 14 ounces and 19 inches long.
I am happy to present the kissable, huggable, most amazing thing I have ever see in my life...
Davey Scott Johnson!

Behold!

He loves Batman already!
More pics to come and a detail of the birth. Very tired. Love to all for your love support.
Heather is doing great she was (is) amazing. Even during the hard parts she looked beautiful and was her funny self. I love her more if thats even possible.
Lost my train of though there- I was staring at the beautiful face of Davey.

The Music Meme
So I finally got around to doing it. And now...(drumroll)
So, here's how it works: 1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc) 2. Put it on shuffle 3. Press play 4. For every question, type the song that's playing 5. When you go to a new question, press the next button 6. No repeat songs 7. No cheating and doctoring your list to make yourself look cooler than the person you took this from, you selfish bastard.
Open Credits: Madonna: Like it or Not (You can call me a sinner you can call me a saint)
First Day at School: Joy Division: Love will tear us apart (off to a good start)
Falling in Love: Violent Femmes: Blister in the sun (my love song is about beating off Hahaha)
Breaking up: The Magic Numbers: Mornings Eleven (cool)
Prom: Space Ghost: Italian Lesson #3 (You look beautiful in the moon night buddy- haha)
Sex Scene: Handsome Boy Modeling School: If it wasn't for you (Nice!)
Lifes OK: Gogol Bordello: Punk Rock Parranda (Rock!)
Mental Breakdown: Handsome Boy: First…and Then (Open up a beer and roll a L)
Driving: Belle and Sebastian: Expectations (perfect)
Flashback: The Cure: Seventeen Seconds (seventeen seconds the measure of life- hummm interesting.)
Getting back together: Mice Parade Levitation (open air dance Pt 4.) Instrumental and one of my favorites of their songs.
Birth of a child: Live: Century (I can see that)
Wedding scene: The Magic Numbers: Love Me Like You (Yeah)
Final Battle: Travis: Dear Diary
Death Scene: Gogol Bordello: Occurrence on the Border (hopping on a Pogo-Gypsy Stick)
Funeral Scene: Tracy Bonham: Navy Bean (don't ask what it means)
End Credits: The Decemberists: My mother was a Chinese Trapeze Artist
Next up was a Jack Johnson song and then The Cardigans doing Iron Man.
I think the Zune was in a good mood today.

I knew I was a good guy but holy shit
Normally I don't like interweb quizes, but this one was pretty cool.
And I don't say that because I ranked right in the middle of Nelson Mandela, Gandhi, and the Dalai Lama.
Check it out: http://www.politicalcompass.org/index
takes less than 10 minutes.
