Recent News! New members....New disc?

Hey all,
So its been a long time between blogs, but we are making aome significant changes and making some sick headway with our music as of late. In case you hadn't noticed....we have a new bass player! Sean has fit in with the band perfectly and for the past few months he has added a lot to the live atmosphere as well as in the practice sessions. At his request we did not make all that big of a deal about it, but you guys made him feel right at home during the shows and we thank you for that.
The other member news is: we have invited Mike Lirange (formerly of Sacreligion) to play guitar full time as our fifth member. For those of you who were at the Naughty School Girl show this past week this comes as no surprise because he came up and played unbelievably with us for his first time and we got a ton of compliments on how it sounded. We have a lot of work to do with him and I am sure that he would like to get his feet wet in the writing process before he commits fully, but if everything keeps going as it has for the last few weeks it will be a seemless transition for all of us.
On the new disc.....we have been asked about this for some time now. Now that we have a fifth member we can start to really nail down the new material and maybe release some demo versions to you guys while we are working on it. We are looking to release it early next year, so keep checking back here for updates.
We also have our mini-tour coming up as well as many random dates to keep up our chops while we're in studio/writing mode. We will be adding a few more summer dates, but are trying to take it a little easy so we can make sure Mike and Sean are all the way up to speed and write without any time constraints.

Degradation of Mankind Tour to be posponed!
All of our dates for the Degradation of Mankind tour down the coast will be postponed untill late October due to the pre-production we are doing in The Lab recording studios with Stoney and Jay.
We are planning to release another album in the coming year and have decidied to begin the long recording process and would like to be able to concentrate on the pre-production without gearing up for the road.
We will still hit most of the same states and most of the same clubs so there will still be ample opportunity to come down and see us play. The new dates and clubs will be announced in the coming months.
We will also update everyone on the status of the album as we progress.

Best Hardcore Act 2007! Our most sincere thanks!
All of us in 12 Step Program were extremely humbled by the support that we got over the past year from all of you.
It culminated with one hell of a kick-ass show at Irish Times in Worcester and our third Best Hardcore Act award in a row!
Our most sincere thanks go out to all of you who voted and most of all....those of you who came down and rocked that dance bar to the fucking ground. We would also like to thank the Pulse magazine and Irish Times for putting on a great awards ceremony and supporting this scene of ours.
Trey is still picking the bills out of his pants, Sean is trying not to throw up anymore this morning, Jeff is nursing one hell of a hangover, and Erik is trying to gain his eyesight back from those damn lights, but we will be ready to put on an even better show on Friday at the Dog...where we better see you fuckers.
Thank you all so much. We really are whole heartedly greatful for all of the support and lets keep it up this year. We have to rebuild this crumbling origianl music scene brick by brick and it starts here with us, Wreckoning and all of you.

we are keeping eric on drums looking for rythm/lead guitarist
here’s the deal, we have decided to make some changes in 12 Step Program due to creative differences with our rythm guitarist Morgan. We wish him the best with his future endevors, but we feel that we can make our music better and our band chemistry stronger now that the decision has been made.
What we’re Seeking:
-A professional experienced guitarist ( rythm/lead parts) who has a passion for music
-between the ages of 21-30
-No serious drug or alcohol dependancies.
-be able to practice at least twice a week and play both nights of the weekend for gigs when we have them booked. Also must be open to touring in the future in support of the next album.
-have reliable transportatin
-Your own gear is obvious.
The auditioning process:
We will send you three of our songs and would like you to learn them as well as you can before coming in. Then we will have auditions at our space under Bay State Gym and go from there.

12 Step Studio Recording soon
12 Step in the Studio. to let everyone know what's goin on we are currently recording our first album at wicked smart studios in dudley ma. we have laid down all of the drum tracks , Jeff D's Guitar tracks and Daves Bass tracks. it already sounds fuckin awesome. we can't wait to get in on the space for all of you to hear. should be ready by end of March / April
