12th & Porter Update

Hope you are all having a great summer. I have had the chance to hang out with so many of you at all the great shows in recent months... Thanks for your support of local music, 12th & Porter and of all the great bands that performed. You guys rock!

Many of you have seen all the great changes to 12th & Porter... Many more to come!

With the venue rehab almost finished (new light rig coming in AUG), our sights have been primarily set on renovating 12th & Porter ... the restaurant. The kitchen equipment has been replaced and is operational. The menu is being created. The bathrooms have been replaced. A full menu is planned for a mid-September launch. Hope to see you all enjoying what Nashville has been missing for so long... Pasta Ya-Ya.

Fire Sprinklers...To be continued
Current mood: confident

Well, the fight to reopen 12th & Porter has hit a new but foreseen obstacle. The fire marshall informed me today that I would not be able to open the doors of 12th & Porter without first installing fire sprinklers (something the I agree with them on for your safety). Until today, I was operating under misinformation about when the sprinkling needed to be completed. I have hired a company to install the sprinklers and should be back on track soon. Getting the doors open as soon and as safely as possible are are goals. Thanks for hanging in there.

Please... No Smoking in The Playroom

12th & Porter will reopen The Playroom as a smoke free venue. As many of you may know, one of the notorious side effects of 12th & Porter (other than the occasional hang over) is often smelling like a dirty ashtray for several hours after you left. The decision was ultimately made to allow 18 year old rockers into the venue on select nights and more importantly because Ruby Amanfu (Sam & Ruby) told me to do it.

Pressure Washing The Playroom

The air quality at 12th & Porter is better than ever. The entire venue has been pressure washed with soap and water. The ceiling, walls, floors, bars, everything has been completely cleaned. Tomorrow we start the bathrooms. Wish us luck.

12th & Porter Under New Ownership

DECEMBER 8, 2007 - Nashville, TN - Video production company Autumn Addict owned by Justin Roddick & Daniel Slezinger signed a 10 year lease on 12th & Porter. The venue is scheduled to reopen in January of 2008. For additional information, please call Autumn Addict at 615-242-7248.
