Stroke, Christmas, Rock Band, Puppy and New Year!
Current mood: hopeful
Category: Life
O.K.! The results are in!!!! I did not have a stroke it was one hell of a migraine! I'm really glad I did not pay $550 for a MRI that would have come out normal. I'm glad I just saw a neurologist and she was able to tell me what the problem was with just an office visit.
Now that I'm past the migraine I can focus on my back pain! Yes! It doesn't end! If it's not one thing it's another. I have a bad back, but I didn't have bad back pain until I was seven months along with Gavin and with this baby I still have five months to go! The pain is so bad I can't sleep and I feel like I want to rip my hair out or bang my head against a wall. I know! Every baby is different and I am two years older. Whaaaaa!!!! L
Christmas was very good. Gavin went Christmas crazy and seems to have a problem with sharing. I am so IMBARRASSED by the way he has been behaving. Gavin is such a good baby and now he is acting so rotten. Don't get me wrong Gavin is still a very good baby , I guess I just had higher expectations for him. I'm referring to Christmas 2009 as "Happy MINE Day!"
New Years Eve I had a small group come over and we played rock band! I really like Rock Band, but I don't play it enough to feel comfortable to play an instrument so I just sang! I imagine everyone was recovering the next morning not from the alcohol, but because of my horrible singing. I enjoyed it so much I think this is what I want to do for my birthday. So I'll need to purchase the XBOX and game or find a place to rent it.
A week ago I became a mommy to a Pomerania puppy. I got the puppy then it was three weeks old and we have been feeding the puppy with a bottle. The puppies mom got very sick and could no longer nurse her babies and we were suppose to get the dog when it was six weeks old, but since the mom was sick and we didn't want to see anything happen to the puppy we got her and one of her brother's early. The owner of the puppies has health problems and didn't expect this to happen and really can't take care of the whole litter so we took our puppy and helped out with taking another puppy. We did find a home for the other puppy, but there are three more puppies that need a home. If I could I would take ALL of the babies, but I can't. So, if you know anyone that would like a Pomeranian puppy let me know.
I think that cover's it! Now I'm looking forward to my birthday, Gavin's 2nd birthday and the birth of my second child!

Stroke for the holidays
Current mood: blah
Category: Life
Last week I was sick with what I thought was and inner ear infection that was throwing my equal Librium off so I was DIZZY and sick! At first I have decided not to go to the doctor, but on Friday my dizziness was so bad it made me sick. I had thought maybe I had a blood sugar problem and brushed it off, but that night it got worse. So, the next morning I decided I need to see someone and my Mom took me to the Fairmont emergency clinic where I was told I had and inner ear infection. Before I left I was told if it didn't get better by the end of the weekend to see my doctor. Monday rolled around and my ears and head hurt worse than ever. I called my OB/GYN (baby dr.) and I was referred to an ENT (ear, nose and throat dr.). I made an appoint for the ENT and went in on Tuesday. The Dr. examined me and conducted a couple of test. After the test I was told I needed to have an MRI done ASAP because my dizziness was not due to an inner ear infection and that it was neurological. So I made an appointment for a MRI, but cancelled it. See, Memorial Herman called to tell me my deductible was going to be $550! Well we just don't have that kind of money available right now so I had to cancel and I called my ENT. When I told him my situation he understood, but stressed that I needed to see a Neurologist because I may have had an INNER BRAIN STROKE!!!!! Oh! And there was nothing wrong with my ears which indicate there is something else going on!!!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! HURRAY! HURRAY!!! A STROKE! THAT IS WHAT I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED!!! HURRAY!!!! So, my head is pounding, I'm light headed and a little freaked out. I really don't think I had a stroke. I think it's stress or a pinched nerve, but I am going to see a Neurologist ASAP.
Well, other than that I LOVED the snow last night. Gavin and the little boy next door built a snowman with Mom and Dad's help. I wish it would snow again, but on Christmas Eve just like it did four years ago. That snow was awesome!

I think I enjoy other’s loss!
Category: Life
I think I enjoy other's loss! After the hurricane David and I went out "sight seeing." I felt like a little kid looking at Christmas lights! We would constantly hit each other and say "Wow! Look at that! Oh! Look at this!" I hate to say this was the most fun we have had in a while!
Since our outing I have been telling EVERYONE about what we saw just like a giggly five year old that just saw Santa Claus! There is one thing that keeps popping into my head and that is the people who's things were destroyed and the destruction entertained me. I keep picturing myself standing in the yard of a house that has been destroyed giggling and saying "Oh my god! Did you see this?! They lost EVERYTHING!!!! Give me the camera I have to take a picture of this!" and there next to me is the family that lost everything sobbing!
Hhhhhhhmmmm….that's all.

Incase you were wondering (Ike)
Current mood: happy
Category: Life
So, as you may have heard my part of town was hit with a hurricane. The hurricane hit just three weeks after we bought our home that is located in a mandatory evacuation zone! Friday we left our house and went to Bryan's which is only about 20 minutes away! Well, we decided not to stay at our home because we didn't know the area very well and Bryan and his family went out of town.
That night as the hurricane blew through we slept threw the first half, but was wide awake for the second. I was asleep and was woken up by the sound of a TORNADO! So, I have never heard a tornado before, but the sound I heard was exactly how people describe the sound of a tornado. I woke David up and ask him if he heard that sound, he said he could and then he freaked out! We grabbed all of our stuff and went to the hallway. Gavin slept threw the WHOLE thing!
After the hurricane was over we decided to look around and see our house. As we were making our was to La Porte we had to stop for three cops and show proof we lived in La Porte. The last cop wouldn't let us go home unless we were staying. Well, we didn't know if we wanted stay since we haven't seen the house! We were PISSED! So, we were not allowed to go home until Monday morning. When Monday morning rolled around we left bright and early. As we were driving down our street we could see there was a lot of trees that fell or were up rooted. Then we got to our house, but we didn't recognize it at first because it was covered with trees! We had four large trees come down and two of them were on our house! Oddly enough the trees wasn't what I was worried about. I wanted to see if it flooded and it DIDN'T! The trees did minor damage to the roof and didn't puncture the structure of the house. I think we got lucky. The only bad thing to happen was that the tree took down the power lines.
Center point kept telling everyone to only report down lines so I called. The customer service representative told me not to mess with the trees because the lines could be hot. So I thought center point would move the trees. After about a week I called center point back and this time the CSR asked me which lines were down, pole to pole or pole to house? Well, it was pole to house and this is when he informs me that it is the home owners responsibility to remove the trees. So, David and I have been chopping away at these trees for two weeks! Oh! And we have NO power! So with the help of my Dad we got the part of the trees blocking the pathway for the power lines to our house. I called center point back to let them know our trees were cleared since our street has power except us! I was then told we were at the bottom of the priority list and it could be another 14 days! So, Saturday evening my Dad and David hooked our power up themselves! Fortunately my dad is an electrician so one of them knew what they were doing.
Now that we have power the next step is to get cable! I am getting very tired of watch Barney videos over and over again! I did slip in a couple of U2 videos and Gavin can know say "Bono." I am SO proud!

My side of the world
Category: Life
So….I can't remember when the last time I had enough time to myself to write a blog! So I hope everyone reads this!
Well, David and I are buying a house! Since we started the process about a month ago I've been totally freaking out! I'M AN ADULT NOW!!!! It's official!
About a month ago David and I popped into a mortgage company just to ask some questions about how we can start the house buying process and by the time we left we were approved and told to start looking for a house! Needless to say we were very surprised to see how fast this process was going. We started looking at houses and the only thing we knew we wanted was an older house, three bedrooms and a yard. Our realtor took us to look at houses and with in two weeks we found a house we LOVE! The house isn't perfect, but it's what we want. Oh! Next door to our house is my DREAM house! There is a house that is English style with the curve in the roof, diamond windows and a mission door. Unfortunately the house is not for sale and it is in HORRIBLE condition. It makes me want to cry every time I drive by this poor house that just needs someone to love it. Anyway….back to MY house. Our closing date is this Friday, but we probably wont move in until the 13th or even later. I want to be excited, but my stress and anxiety out weights the excitement. Hopefully one we get settled and everything settles down then I'll be happy. As of right now I'm planning for my Halloween party will be my house warming party unless I can pull something off before then.
Besides the house stress I have Gavin stress. Last week I took Gavin to Kemah so he could play in the water and while we were there he got hurt and it was MY FAULT! I felt SO bad! I was chasing him around and tickling him. At one point the took off, I caught him, tickled him and he folded over SMACKING his head onto the ground! Apparently this injury hurt me more than it hurt him, but he looked awful! He had this huge red spot on his forehead that had the imprint of the brick! Poor baby!
Gavin's new word is bug, duck, and gun, but he says it like this "buuuu-gggaaa!", "ducka", and "gung." Gavin is really beginning to show his Daley temper and it's not pretty. I have no idea what goes threw his little head when he thinks he can BITE me! Yes! My baby is BITING! Maybe he IS a vampire.
Oh! Am horrified to report that my in-laws got Gavin addicted to BARNEY!!!!! Every night Gavin runs to their bedroom door, bangs on it and says "nite, nite, ba-ney." It's sweet and sad ! If he starts watching Telatubes I will have to get rid of our T.V.
Oh! Speaking of T.V…… I got hooked to watching "Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood" I guess I could say this is my guilty pleasure. Since I started watching the show my entire view of Tori Spelling has changed. I really like her I think she has a good sense of humor. Oh! I'm also addicted to forensic files and paranormal state.
Well, I think that about covers it! Maybe the next time I write a blog it will be from my new home!
Oh! I almost forgot! Jan is pregnant! My little brother Bryan is going to be a Daddy! HURRAY!!!! Now, I'm ready for my next baby!!!!

Eddie Izzard
Current mood: giddy
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities
Tuesday night I took David to see Eddie Izzard for his father's day gift. I had really never seen Eddie Izzard's entire stand-up and I had a really good time! Unfortunately he wasn't dressed in drag, but he still looked good. About an hour after the show he came out and did Q&A for anyone who stayed and that was pretty cool. Unfortunately David didn't get to hear everything because he had to sit with EMS after his blood sugar had gotten very low and needed something to bring it up. The other thing that sucked was I didn't have my camera because I didn't think they were allowed and my cell phone DIED!!! Fortunately a very nice guy sent the picture he took to my phone! If Eddie Izzard is in town you should go see him he puts on a great show!

The Cure
Current mood: ecstatic
Category: Music
Monday night David and I saw the Cure in concert and it was FANTASTIC! This would be my fourth or fifth time to see them and I still love it! One of my favorite things at a concert is when the crowd is waiting for the performer to come out on stage and they'll cheer for just about anyone or anything! The Cure played three encores and after they would leave the stage the colored lights on the stage would just stay the same as they were during the last song. Every time the lights would change color or change position everyone would go CRAZY! I was amused. The best surpise of the evening is hearing "Killing An Arab" live.
High lyrics (I was diappointed they didn't play this song) when i see you sky as i kite as high as i might i can't get that high the how you move the way you burst the clouds it makes me want to try
when i see you sticky as lips as licky as trips i can't lick that far but when you pout the way you shout out loud it makes me want to start and when i see you happy as a girl that swims in a works of magic show it makes me bite my fingers through to think i could've let you go
and when i see you take the same sweet steps you used to take i say i'll keep holding you my arms so tight i'll never let you slip away
and when i see you kitten as a cat yeah as smitten as that i can't get that small the way you fur the how you purr it makes me want to paw you all and when i see you happy as a girl that lives in a world of make-believe it makes me pull my hair all out to think i could've let you leave
and when i see you take the same sweet steps you used to take i know i'll keep on holding you in arms so tight they'll never let you go

Boo boos!!!
Current mood: amused
So, yesterday was Gavin's 15 month birthday and he KNOWS the DIFFERENCE between boys and girls!
This all started months ago when I would tickle Gavin's chest and call it his "baby boo boos". Since then he started calling his own chest boo boos along with everyone else. Recently he only calls a ladies chest "boo boos" or "bubbles", hmmmm at least he got the shape right.
Anyway, the one thing I have had to get use to as a first time mom is NO privacy. From the beginning if I wanted a shower Gavin had to be in the bathroom with me! It is now a luxury to get to use the restroom ALONE! Now that Gavin has gotten older he has become more curious. I can not tell you how many times he has followed me to the restroom to watch me take care of business, laughs, points and then begins to tug at the crouch of his diaper! Ya' know it's a jab at my self esteem to be laughed at by a baby when I'm NAKED! I know he's just a baby, but I think these moments will have an impression on his life.
It's bad enough he notices the difference with me and my "boo boos", but he also has noticed other women's "boo boos." We took Gavin to get a hair cut and he grabbed the hair dresser's boob and said with a very sweet tone "boo boo!" He will also look down ladies tops and say "boo boo." Today he did this to his Grandma and we told Gavin to go look at Papa's boo boos. Well, he knows boys don't have "boo boos!" He looked at me and pointed at my chest then he looked at his Grandma then he looked at Papa then he ran to me pulled open my shirt and said "boo boos!!!" O.K. I knew the day would come when he would begin to notice this stuff, but I didn't think it would happen so early.
Not to mention he enjoys playing with his penis! My husband hates it when I tell people that Gavin plays with himself, but I think it's funny. It started with Gavin grabbing his "stuff" during diaper changes and he would laugh. Now he plays with his "stuff" during bath time. He'll stand up in the tub dance around while poking himself like a button! Oh! He also enjoys stretching the foreskin as far it will go while giggling and smile at me as if he has done something so cool! Last Friday we had a baby sitter sit with Gavin. To our surprise he didn't do any of that stuff with her! I think he has a plan. I think he's waiting for the right moment and then he'll make his move.
I love my son and he is an endless supply of entertainment, but I hope he grows out of this stuff. It wont be so funny when he's 18 years old and still doing this stuff!
