I want to tell you about camp.

What a fucking ride it has been. The first week was a mix of a rollercoaster & hell (hell being a lush forest hugging a lake in a Maine mountain range). To go from insane packing, moving, picking out Mom's wedding stuff, visiting family, & squeezing in boyfriend time, to constant meetings & forced socialization coordinated by a ringing bell- an actual bell, eating kid food (which is normal food, but fried, sugared & salted) & sleeping in a bunk bed, was, well... HARD!!!

I was shocked at how much I MISS home. I MISS Arash. I MISS my car. I MISS my cell phone. I MISS my computer. I MISS my privacy.

It's been a few weeks now, & I've definately acclamated. For one the beauty has gotten to me- it's gorgous! I've tried things I've never done, like swing on a rope or two through the tree tops, DJing on an actual radio station & swimming in a lake. The classes & kids have actually been fun- go fig! I love the theatre crew- same sense of humor, which is rare & a life saver. I've been to two amazing port towns on my days off, jumpped into the camp way of life, & I'm even getting up once in a while before the wake-up bell rings. I'm socializing outside of the theatre crew a bit more (most every councelor has a different schedule & is 18-21)

A BIG thank you to those who have written me. I can go online, but for a very limitted amount of time & it's nice to take time to read and respond to a letter in my bunk- to everyone else, well thanks for at least reading this- this means we are at least friends, right?

Maine!

I'm off to Maine tomorrow morning! For 7 weeks!!!

My cell phone will be turned off during the trip as I will be in the mountains, & I will be able to check email once in a blue moon. I'll also post the snail mail addr after I'm up there.

I'm going to miss you guys!!!

I love stale popcorn
