the right person with those abilities could perfectly govern at Least a small solar system.
...that will occur in this country on november 5th....should john mccain win.
which, at the end of it all, at this point in the game, would tell me that racism won out over common sense in the hearts and minds of the american public...

i'm not sure if this is just silly season at the playoffs or what, but after eight years of political mis-administration, false wars, crumbling economy, mass enemployment, foreclosure of homes, lost life, environmental dismay, global blundering, and the destruction of new orleans...
CAN WE PLEASE KEEP OUR COLLECTIVE EYE ON THE BALL A LITTLE HERE ON WHAT TAKES UP THE NATIONAL DIALOGUE...?
a piece of an email i was sending to a friend in response to a politics question....and the more i thought about it, the more it summed it up accurately:
actually...the genius in obama and the reason i love him is because, as he said in his speech the other week, its not really about _him_...its about the people mobilizing to get behind him and unite for common goals,...inherent in that is the beginning of creating force for any kind of true change....or at least beginning to conscienciously address the issues. then it's going to be about the people behind him ("We"...as it should be) remain as a corrective measure to him and his policies. (because the ultimate evil irony would be if her were to take all this newfound capacity, say "fuck y'all" and run as absolute H.N.I.C....but thus far he seems, by virtue of his upbringing, to be approaching the role with the humility the task truly requires.
i truly believe that humanity has at current the technological and communicative capacity to change the world for the better, and that we need to soon, given various environmental, political, and economic ticking clocks around the globe lately. and that its a time for candor and progressive thinking, not petty machinations and narcissistic scheming.

so i represented for the Ninja Turtles at DragonCon this weekend... there were a few choice moments (among them: fighting jack sparrow up the escalators, rock-paper-scissors for the cat o' nine tails {appropriately dubbed "muffin walloper II"}, the dumptruck acquisition of a proper pirate flag, and of course...ninja-turtle-hackey-sack)
...but i think my favorite had to be when i randomly met this one guy named ryan...who had a raph tattoo on his shoulder...who matched me word for word in the lobby... on _this_
