What is worse???

What is worse, the cold or the heat? In California, where I live, it can get pretty steamy. In the winter, I see on the news all the places that have snow up to the top of their car, and I am so thankful that I don't have to dig myself out of three feet of snow like the unfortunate souls that live in the mid-west area. However, when the summer comes, they get to laugh at us. We can get up to 100 degrees, like it is here in Bakersfield. I am not leaving the house today. I guess it is an issue of the grass being greener on the other side. I am sitting her in the air conditioner and watching tv, because I can't go outside. It is only June, too. I hear August here in the High Desert can get much hotter. I bet people in the north and midwest are laughing at me, heehee. Go ahead and laugh. When January comes, I will get my revenge, hahaha!

Another WEEKENDS review!

"Each of the extended family members attending a family reunion in sunny California have a story to tell.  Things are heating up on the beach and in the hotel rooms, but it's not all sun and fun.  There's a psycho on the loose and he's making his presence known at the Hotel Del Moor.  They each become entwined in each other's lives as they band together to save each other from what's to come. Weekends is a very extreme and intense story.  With elements including rape, sexual, physical and emotional abuse as well as incest, it's gritty and even frightening and disturbing at times.  To say that it's not for the faint of heart is an understatement.  I felt the lack of birth control between the couples should have been addressed in some way, but other than that I found Weekends to be a very well written story with amazing characterization, riveting scenes and tender romances. I couldn't put it down."
