So Long, Farewell, Auf Wiedersehn, Good Bye!
Current mood: determined
Okay, I've been doing a lot of thinking, and I really think it's time for me to spend a little (um, a lot) less time online. I have the most wonderful guy on earth, and I love him so much, and with him living far away for so long, I've really let myself be inhaled into my computer trying not to think about how much I miss him. It's really gotten to a point of incredible pathetic-ness, and I am hereby going to go get a life while I'm waiting for him to come back. Sadly, that does mean I'm also giving up myspace. I don't want him to come back to a zombie-robot-woman instead of me. So to all y'all I've never met, will miss you! To all y'all I know - see ya soon! If anyone needs/wants to talk, me email addy is cheynegirl7@yahoo.com
Cheers,
Erin

An incredibly beautiful poem by Robert Burns (1759–1796)
Current mood: calm
|
| Flow gently, sweet Afton! amang thy green braes, |
|
| Flow gently, I'll sing thee a song in thy praise; |
|
| My Mary's asleep by thy murmuring stream, |
|
| Flow gently, sweet Afton, disturb not her dream. |
|
| |
| Thou stockdove whose echo resounds thro' the glen, |
5 |
| Ye wild whistling blackbirds in yon thorny den, |
|
| Thou green-crested lapwing thy screaming forbear, |
|
| I charge you, disturb not my slumbering Fair. |
|
| |
| How lofty, sweet Afton, thy neighbouring hills, |
|
| Far mark'd with the courses of clear, winding rills; |
10 |
| There daily I wander as noon rises high, |
|
| My flocks and my Mary's sweet cot in my eye. |
|
| |
| How pleasant thy banks and green valleys below, |
|
| Where, wild in the woodlands, the primroses blow; |
|
| There oft, as mild Ev'ning weeps over the lea, |
15 |
| The sweet-scented birk shades my Mary and me. |
|
| |
| Thy crystal stream, Afton, how lovely it glides, |
|
| And winds by the cot where my Mary resides; |
|
| How wanton thy waters her snowy feet lave, |
|
| As, gathering sweet flowerets, she stems thy clear wave. |
20 |
| |
| Flow gently, sweet Afton, amang thy green braes, |
|
| Flow gently, sweet river, the theme of my lays; |
|
| My Mary's asleep by thy murmuring stream, |
|
| Flow gently, sweet Afton, disturb not her dream. |

A Rawther Beautiful Day
Current mood: Rawther feel like talking in run on sentences toda
On this bright and beautiful morning, I woke up and looked out the window. It was bright and beautiful - rawther odd for Michigan. Then I went downstairs and drank my coffee. Have I told you I am drinking decaf now? Three days of that earthy juice stuff, no caffine headaches whatsoever. Anyhow, I had my coffee, and looked out the window again, and it was still rawther bright and beautiful, and I thought about knitting but I hadn't time. So I came to check my email, and there are a billion of you with messages in my inbox that I have not replied to, and I am sorry...have been awfully sick. Have to go read two books of the Odyssey, which is impossibly boring, and then sing a little song to the sheep because they like that, and then I need to look out the window again to make sure it's still rawther beautiful out, and then mayhap I'll have time to knit.
Gotta skitter!

Yessirreebob! You are reading the blog of an olympian...
lol, corny, but cool - start a project during the opening ceremony they have for those athletic folks, and finish the project by the time the athletic folk's torch goes out! I'm doing selfish socks...

I *Heart* My new mittens!
Current mood: cheerful
Category: Fashion, Style, Shopping
Oh my:) Happy me! A huge hug going out to Jeanene for the gorgeous mittens she made for me in our mitten swap! I can't tell you how long I have wanted a pair of red wool mittens - and the cuffs are adorable! I have a looong driveway, so I opened them up at the mailbox and wore them right away - I love em'!

I went to Cuba this week. It was the Evil Twin's idea.
Current mood: working
Category: Travel and Places
I did not know you could drive to Cuba! I also did not know that it snows in Cuba!
Once we got to Cuba, we drove down a street.

It was awesome.

Knit as the Scotchmen do!
Current mood: tired
"Then you may come, and I'll teach you to knit as the Scotchmen do. There's a demand for socks just now," added Jo, waving hers like a big blue worsted banner as they parted at the gate.
