Dreams
Current mood: creative
Category: Writing and Poetry

A trail in the sun
Reflection in the desert

Dust doesn't understand
Although I have to

To grab a dream
Aging along
Peel the onion

I've seen it
Get shut down
And fester

Blossoming is beautiful
Grab it while you can
Regardless of the outcome

I'll be back
Before you know I'm gone

Nothing Left To Say
Category: Writing and Poetry

Nothing left to say

Not a thing to do.

At last, no more words to trip the dark fantastic
dream of things falling out.
Flying, invisible reflections of glass flesh
jiggling jealously, floating naked.
Loose teeth in dry fountains break under evaporating
sound bites. Smiling, holding hands, looking back,
growing hair, clicking, pointing, traumatized, hypnotized.

Bullets find their way – plucking purple
feathers from flying fish.
Engaged in the mystery,
atoms of time split into mouthfuls
of granulated secrets – fractitious emotions
eclipse behind whispers in the wind.
Masks slide beneath a floating haze
of exuberance, retiring on razor wire.
Folding napkins, smiling.

Swirling inside – carrying hunger around,
stirring bundles of unsettled trivia.
Pretending not to notice a spill on my memory.

Lastly, absolutely nothing in the corners,
on the sides, at the center.
Everywhere, nothing to play with,
stare at, hang up.
Empty everything inverted and sealed.
Vacuums of thought and expression
parallel to the gleaming singularity
of nothing, absolute nothing, absolutely.
Overtaking something, in front of anything,
breezing across pressure – pointlessly affixed to it's own agenda,
above all else,
underwhelming.

I’m Awake
Category: Writing and Poetry

I'm Awake

But I don't want
to open my eyes

It's clear
I'm awake
but I don't want
to open my eyes because

I'm awake
and I don't want
to open my eyes

It's too hard
It's too hard
It's too hard

WHAT!?
Category: Writing and Poetry

WHAT?!

No grass?
No insects left on earth?
Only us?
Under the planet refugees
from the fusion of atoms
in the air?

Enough food for three years?
Enough water for two and a half years?

No entertainment
except a record player
with one 45
called "Battle Hymn of the Republic."

But after all,
what other kind of music is there?

Each breath carries
radioactive particles
that mutate continuously
until functioning
is no longer possible.

I'm sick of beans & peaches & bark.
Why can't we have peat moss anymore?

What is humor and imagination?

All I see is dark concrete
And all I hear are hymns.

What?
No art or artichokes
left on earth?

Marketing To Death
Category: Writing and Poetry

Marketing To Death

You can have it all,
Obsession, insanity
Get rich instantly
And without effort

Pushed hard from
The shards of expectation
Dining with madness
Eat everything
All the time

Then make us thin

With a barrage of obstacles
Society is our friend
We trust in its tricks
While it lies and distorts

It's adulterous nature
Is untreatable

We believe in information
And things –
Whatever is beautiful to you –
You'll be that
Wherever is better –
You'll be there
Bigger and better

It's all good at
www.RunAsFastAsYouCanPointlesslyTill
YourTrueSelfIsBuriedAndDies.com

Places to click on
And get a chance
For the possibility
Of more clicking
Point and click
Pointlessly clicking
Until the point
Is clicking

Destinationless

Impersonal, personal relations
Self –absorbed human resources

We care about you –
We'd love to
Place our product
In your home
With your family

You'll look better
Right away –
No matter what

Even though the side effects
Are worse than the problem

It's Chemist and Doctor approved
We guarantee
You'll no longer
Do anything for yourself
But you'll think you are

There'll be no
Immediate, obvious side effects
Unless you look deep
Into the mirror
And notice the painful
Residue of unsightly
Soul bludgeoning

Come and get it now!

Aging
Category: Writing and Poetry

Aging

Pre orgasm
Mid life
Post break- up.

Touching and yelling for
The potential of yet another
New chapter.

The innocence of
Waiting to go back
To before things
Went out of tune.

I should have learned
When I play my hand too early –
Emptiness falls out.

Ashes of the past
Blow through
Torn relationships,
Chewing me up -
Redemption spiting me out.

Hold my hand
So when I slip away,
I won't get lost.

PLAY BALL
Category: Writing and Poetry

PLAY BALL

Playing a game of catch
with my inner child

I'm always reminded
of reasons

There is nothing equal
there is nothing equal
there is nothing equal

When he
shows me his glove
and hollers,
-"I've got it! "
I know magic is at work...
that home run feeling.

ECHO CHAMBER

Repetition is more powerful
than meaning:

reinventing myself
regardless of guilt.

reinventing myself

reinventing myself

reinventing myself

reinventing myself
