"maybe it's time to stop NOT doing what you pretended you CAN do and CAN'T and start doing the thing that you CAN'T do, but can no longer pretend that you CAN"...............................

the hollow earth

I can't believe I never checked anything out about the hollow earth theory in my 51 years till yeaterday!! any one want to go with me to one of the poles or other entry places and check it out? it makes some sorta sense, so maybe the ufo's are coming from the middle ot the earth, not from outer space!! geeez!!

o.k. I went to an audition wanting "jazz' musician's to be in a japanese honda commercial,that would pay 1000 bucks to whoever gets it...not that i feel that i am a "jazz" musician, but i think i can fake it! anyway..me and my pal Bill, who is in his 60's and plays upright bass get there to a room of about 15 people wanting the gig too... not too many smiles or even eye contact..hmm..anyway i think everyone was a bit nervous, the ice eventually get's broken... when i wa doing my audition,the casting person asked if "i would shave my sideburns if requested" i said loud and clear NO!! but 1000 bucks is 1000 bucks;...we shall see if i get a call back. Later that night I saw a show with some old friends and one of the acts was a punk band dressed like 12 century crusdaers, ,they were called "the new crusaders" the lead guy had a big real sword!! sometime during the set, he lunged the sword down into what he thought was the stage...well he missed and stabbed his foot....it didn't seem real, till the blood started making a puddle around his foot...he kept singing for a while then when the show stopped... a bunch of people went up on stage and helped him...wow..... just another typical day in San Francisco....at least it was a distraction from the new police state that is taking control.......OLA, RAAAAALPH

man what a day... this hurricane, deluge,end of civilization thing is bringing me down!! i need a stiff drink y'all!!! having just heard that Fats Domino is alive at the super dome, or as i call it the "super death dome",lightened my gloom and doom feeling a bit.....just like 9-11 i keep hearing an ominous, low note drone in my head, oh well, i am a musician...i got a call about doing some music for a film about Carny's today....that was cool....now it's time to figure out some way to help that doesn't involve dough.....cheers, Ralph

.......sure are powerful!!....i was in New Orleans twice, for B52's shows back in the early 80's....it was mardi gras, i felt like i was tripping, but i wasn't.. got some mojo floor cleaner...we played on an old riverboat, the kind Lous Armstrong used to play on in 1919 with Fate Marable....tis sad.. tis sad.....this is like san francisco 1906... and Bush is playing golf!!!
