How time passes so quickly

It is amazing how quickly this year has gone by.  It feels like just yesterday that I was planning some dinner for my family and friends.  My goodness.  In one month it will be the 1 year anniversary of my fathers death.  I can't believe it.  He has been gone for 11 months today.  How crazy is that!  I look back on him with fondness.  Yes I am still grieving.  How could a child not.  I have had to come to terms with it.  Yes, I still revert back to the sad child who lost her father from time to time.  I can say that with each day it gets a little easier.  I know that he is fine.  He isn't in anymore pain.  He is with his cousin Mario, my Grandma and his mom.  My dad was a great person.  Not a man without flaws, but a man with a big and generous heart.  I miss our talks.  I miss our hugs.  I miss the security he brought to me.  He was my best friend.  On this day, 1 month before the anniversary of his death, I write this with my dad on my heart.

Gone to long

Thoughts
Current mood: numb

Darkness fills my mind.  I cannot shake these thoughts.  Some one is out there feeling the same way.  But where?  I am alone.  Is it better to be alone?  There is no one to answer too, no one to consider.  Is it worth it?  Compromise.  What  a concept.  But how far is too far?  How much is too much?  Who knows.  Life is full of distractions.  It is hard to stay on track.  How do you stay on track?  Feelings of darkness, sadness...fills my mind.  I wish I could shake it.  Time will take me back to a happier place.  Then like a rollar coaster, it will bring me back down to the reality of life.  Man, that sucks!  I wish I were an Oscar Meyer Wiener!  Commercials bring back odd memories.  Ramble Ramble Ramble.  That is all this mind will do.  What a concept.  The ability to ramble without regard to who is listening.....Yeah, who will listen!  Fear has gripped this mind and will not let go...Sure, days will pass and I'll forget that this ever happened...But then, some song or word spoken by someone else will spark a chain of thoughts that will spirial me back in to the dark corners of my mind, where I'll be forced to come back and ramble once again.

Hello All!

I just wanted to Let ya'll know that I will be participating in the Strawberry Fields Triathlon in Oxnard California on March 26th!  I'm very excited to be doing this.  I am participating because My Father has been fighting Colon Cancer for the past year. I am determined to complete these events come rain or shine.  Thank you in advance for your encouragement and support.  Love to all of those who know me and the new people I meet!
