It sold!!!
Current mood: excited

Well the house finally sold and we are actually doing this!  Moving to NYC in about two weeks!!!!  We can not wait.  It seemed like we just were talking about how cool it would be to move there and now we are making it happen.  Marcus is loving his job and that alone makes me so excited for him and the great opportunities that lie ahead of us both!  We sold our house and everything in it and don't have an apartment in NY yet but for some reason we are still so giddy about this entire thing.  The only down side to this move is that we had to take Mo (our little ankle bitter) to live with my mom.  I went to Boise this last weekend and left him at his new home and I cried so hard when I had to actually leave him!!!  I felt so silly to be crying so hard over a dog but I guess that shows that I really did love that little guy! 

Anyway......we could not be more excited about our new adventure and all that it holds.  It is like a big blank slat and we are not sure what is going to be written next.  I think that this change in life has taught Marcus and I both a ton of stuff.  It is crazy how we get so caught up in what we own and what we drive and yet given the opportunity to do something so crazy we had no problem giving it all away!  And just the other night Marcus called and said he went for a run in Central Park and on his way home he went a new route (get to know his new city) and he stumbled upon a concert in the park.  It was the Metropolitan Symphony performing a live concert and he said he sat down on a park bench and took it all in.....the city skyline, the couples on the blankets with their picnic baskets, the sun setting and the beautiful music.  He said all he kept thinking about was the amazing experiences that we were going to have together and how excited he was about this monumental decision in our life!  It is crazy how making one decision (however big or small) can change your life so drastically.  Just a month ago we were talking about "what ifs" and now we are about to be living it! 

I want everyone to start saving your money for your plane tickets to visit!!!!  We will have a blow-up mattress for you to sleep on.....in our cozy NY style apartment (aka - a 600 sq ft box)!

I have arrived!!!

My first day was spent walking through Central Park and we watched the sun set over the city.  I can't believe that I actually live here!!!  Marissa is very excited about moving here and hated having to leave me, but she will be back very soon to visit several times before we do the big final move.  She is on a little bit of NY Crack right now!!!
