Michael Jordan is overrated. Sounds crazy but it's true. He was the dominant player during the worst era in the history of the NBA- the 90s. In addition to the fact that the league changed the rules of the game to suit his game (travelling, up and down, palming the ball?), he beat a bunch of mediocre teams to win those titles- the Lakers' last stand (post Kareem, I think), Phoenix, Utah and it goes downhill from there- Portland, Seattle? I mean look at what teams made the finals during his first retirement, Houston, The Knicks and the fucking Magic. There just weren't any great teams and not alot of awesome players during the 90s. Don't get me started on the refs and their "Jordan rules".

That reminds me- remember the "NBA's Top 50 Players"- the ceremonies, the books, videos, etc. Half of the guys were current or recent players- what a crock of self-promoting bullshit! Yeah right, David Robinson and Scotttie Pippen are two of the 50 greatest players of all time. Phooey!
