Profoundness...
Current mood: crushed
I feel like I once knew what profoundness was, but have lost it and have become numb to the sensation of wonder- I've closed the door to the secret world, either that or have had the doors closed by time and neglect and decisions made in a time of weakness.

To the Late Night Blogger...
Current mood: betrayed
It's time to take this torment from our minds and wash our eyes out with the remains of hope left in us.
And maybe then we'll be able to see our way past this thousand year long bridge and build a new world where everything we did could be made right again and everything we said had new truth behind it.
A world where flesh was made of love and righteousness and sin had no place.

For Steve...
It will never go away.
It's just that everything changes...NOTHING stay the same, so after a while you just don't notice anymore.
I guess there's only one thing you can do to make it all worth while and I suppose that is to BELIEVE that SOMEDAY it will all come together the way we wanted it to be.
The way we changed our lives for.

I love passionate people...
Anthony Bagnera on me moving to Nashville...
"Don't be a waitress, be a fuckin' musician!"
Other great quotes I've heard lately:
I will never throw you an ace.
Get in where you fit in.
When using a public bathroom...build a nest.
If a restaurant charges you 8.95 for a whole birthday cake, don't ask for a discount just because it's not half black!
And my favorite...
You wear a dress, I'll wear khakis.

On Being Alone...
I own that I take great pleasure in walking by myself; we get, it is true, into a certain labyrinth of thought from which it is sometimes difficult to extricate ourselves. But then, we have the liberty of thinking on what pleases us most.

Oscar Wilde
I'm not sure if any of you read Oscar Wilde but I just can't put him down lately. Here are some excerpts from my favorite poem by him.
"TO L.L."
Could we dig up this long-buried treasure, Were it worth the pleasure, We never could learn love's song, We are parted too long.
Could the passionate past that is fled Call back it's dead, Could we live it all over again, Were it worth the pain!
I remember we used to meet By an ivied seat, And you warbled each pretty word With the air of a bird;
And your voice had a quaver in it, Just like a linnet, And shook, as the blackbird's throat With its last big note;
And your eyes, they were green and grey Like an April day, But lit into amethyst When I stooped and kissed;
And your mouth, it would never smile For a long, long while, Then it rippled all over with laughter Five minutes after.
...
Could we live it over again, Were it worth the pain, Could the passionate past that is fled Call back its dead!
Well, if my heart must break, Dear love, for your sake, It will break in music, I know, Poets' hearts break so.
But strange that I was not told That the brain can hold In a tiny ivory cell God's heaven and hell.

An Honest Truth
I think the greatest performances always elude the camera, the tape recorder, the pen. They happen in the middle of the night when the musician plays for one special friend under the moonlight, they happen in the dress rehearsal just before the play opens.
