Signed CD Surplus, Shows in IN, WI & MI
J. Jackson, lead singer and lyricist for ApologetiX (That Christian Parody Band) here. Fans at recent shows have discovered one of our best kept secrets: Not only is Bill Hubauer a superb keyboard player; he's a great lead guitarist. Sunday night, we revealed another little-known fact; Keith Haynie plays a mean lead guitar himself. He converted from guitar to bass to join ApologetiX, but never lost his heart or his knack for six strings. We've been planning for a while to have a portion of the set where Keith can demonstrate his guitar prowess. He even plays lead on a song on our new CD, "Chosen Ones." And you just have to see Bill multi-tasking on bass and keyboards on another song -- it reminds me of Rush's Geddy Lee. We're having fun adding songs from previous CDs to our set list that we've never played live before. Of course, we're playing stuff from our brand new CD, "Chosen Ones," too. Although it's still not available in stores, you can pick it up at our concerts this weekend in Middlebury IN, Green Bay WI, and Manton MI. And guess what? We wound up with extra autographed copies of "Chosen Ones," so you can also still get them from our online store or by mail for only $14.99 (with free shipping to anywhere in the United States) through next Wednesday, October 31.

What's on the "Chosen Ones" CD October 22, 2007, 10:16 pm EDT
"Chosen Ones" is our 14th CD. We gave our fans a list of 25 new parodies, and they selected their 10 favorites, which we performed before a live audience in Lisbon OH in August 2007. We also rerecorded two bonus tracks we'd previously recorded on studio CDs, because we thought our current live versions sound much better. These are not your typical live recordings. For the most part you can't tell they were recorded in concert until the audience responds at the end of the songs. We cleaned up a few things in the studio, and we think you'll really be pleased with the results. Here's what's on it: 1. Fly Away from Hell (Highway to Hell by AC/DC) 2. Born-Again Child (Born to be Wild by Steppenwolf) 3. Search and You'll Get Saved (Surfin' USA by the Beach Boys) 4. Hell! (Help! by the Beatles) 5. Revelation (Revolution by the Beatles) 6. Hey Zaccheus (Take it Easy by the Eagles) 7. Can't Eat Enough (Can't Get Enough by Bad Company) 8. Get a Bite (Let it Ride by Bachman-Turner Overdrive) 9. Kosmik (Kashmir by Led Zeppelin) 10. Never Been to Spain Yet (Never Been to Spain by Three Dog Night) 11. Narrow Way to Heaven (Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin) 12. Two-Time Baby/Lord's House Blues (Love Me Two Times/Roadhouse Blues by the Doors)

This Past Weekend in PA, MA & NY October 22, 2007, 10:13 pm EDT
We had unseasonably warm weather and unsurprisingly warm receptions this past weekend in Plumsteadville PA (Friday), Webster MA (Saturday), and Brockport NY (Sunday). Here's a nice quote from a fan who attended Friday's show:I was at the Plumbstead Christian School concert, and it was awesome. You gave an excellent message, and I pray that it touched the hearts of many that were there. Mike W. Quakertown PA Here's another quote from a longtime fan who came to see us on Saturday:Just wanted to say "thank you!" to all of you guys for an awesome night of music. Only God could have blessed us with such a beautiful day, awesome Fall colors, the beauty of the lake and then, of course, the music. Now ApologetiX playing outside in the mountains of New Hampshire at Soul Fest is very awe inspiring; but I think last night beat even that. The icing on the cake was watching the boats come from off of the lake and near the shore to hear the music and get a glimpse of what was going on. We have pictures of them. You probably had a bigger audience than you realized. Thanks again for such a great time!! God bless! Jauneen Dore Here's an email from the promoter of Sunday's concert:I just wanted to thank all of you for blessing us again last night at the concert. People always walk away with smiles on their faces and this concert was no exception. I've heard many great comments and people are hoping I can get you to come back again. It was great seeing families enjoying the music together. I was watching them and could see the parents bopping their heads to the music the same as their kids were. You provide such a great outreach and ministry. I was commenting to our pastors that half of the people had never been in our church before so that was a great thing to see. Keep up the great work. You guys are such a blessing to everybody you come in contact with. I'll continue to do my part and inform people about ApologetiX every chance I get! Hope to see you soon. Gary Wandel Brockport NY Special thanks to: Our concert coordinators: Dawn Miller (Plumsteadville); Stephen Binley (Webster); and Gary Wandel (Brockport).
