One Of Our Models Has Passed Away. Our Prayers To Her Family

A teenage girl killed in a car crash last weekend was remembered Tuesday night at a candlelight vigil. Megan Morse, 16, was riding in a truck with her 14 year old friend behind the wheel.

Police say the 14 year old ran a stop sign near Boulder Highway and Magic Way and crashed into a big rig. All day Tuesday Megan's friends visited a memorial near the crash site; they say they can't believe she's gone.

"She was really loud and fun and happy all the time," said Marisa Cubero, friend of Megan's. "It's sad to hear that she's gone, but we had fun when I knew her. It's just crazy."

Neither teenager was wearing a seat belt. Investigators say the 14 year old borrowed the car from a friend. He could be charged with vehicular manslaughter.

We here at Adolfo Joaquin Clothing want to express our deepest sorrow at the loss of such a beautiful young woman. I sit here shocked and in tears that she is gone. Her smile will be missed and our prayers go out to her family.

Hey there ladies and gentlemen!

We need you to do this so we can add your pretty face to our model dvd that our committee members use to choose our finalists!

Your picture doesn't have to be done professionally, but it should be the best one you have!

We're going to use this part of the blog to post answers to questions that we get all the time! If you have a question, just put it here and we'll answer it! We'll update this ever week!

FAQ V1.0

"I'm on your friends list, am I in the model search?"

Yes! Everyone on the friends list will be considered for the model search! That being said, you still need to visit WWW.ADOLFOJOAQUIN.COM and read the details there about where to send you pictures!

"I'm out of state, can I still compete?"

Yes! This is a web-modeling position at the heart of it, so we don't care where you are!"

"Is there an age limit?"

Yes! We only accept applications from people 15-35. If you're outside of that, we'll still accept you to our friends list, but you won't be considered in the competition."

"I don't have any modeling expierence, is that ok?"

Yes! Obviously it will help your chances if you have modeling expierence, but the most important thing is to have a great attitude about working with Adolfo Joaquin Clothing.

"When will the finalists be chosen?"

We anticipate announcing our finalists on my birthday, April 23rd.

"How do I join the focus group?"

Just go to WWW.MYSPACE.COM/AJCFOCUSGROUP. From there, subscribe to the blog and make sure you post responses every week to the questions asked.

The Model Search Details (Tentative)

For everyone who is wondering exactly how we are going to running the model search and the free clothes, here are the details!

The second week of April we will announce our 24 finalists. Of our 24 finalists, there will be 12 men and 12 women. The 12 men and women will be competing against each other every week for your online votes to see who will end up being the new face of Adolfo Joaquin Clothing!

At the end of each week of voting, the bottom four vote getters will be published on myspace and on WWW.ADOLFOJOAQUIN.COM , then we here at Adolfo Joaquin will choose one of the four to continue in the competition while your one day votes will decide the other model who will stay... the other two are eliminated. (So make sure you tell all your friends out there to vote for you so you dont end up in the bottom 4!) All of our top 24 finalists will recieve gifts and their picture on our website, so they even if they don't win, they walk away with something!

Every week, our finalists will have questions asked of them so that our supporters worldwide can get to know them better and see if they would be a good fit for Adolfo Joaquin Clothing. Every week that our finalists our in the competition, they are encouraged to take pictures around their city to show their style to us so that we can get a better understanding about who they really are!

Once we have narrowed the competition down to our top 10, we will still publish the bottom 4, but instead of two people going home, it will only be one of our choice!

At the end, there will be only one winner who will be highlighted on our website for one year and also alloted a monthly clothing allowance from our Adolfo Joaquin online store! We are currently working out a few deals that would allow our winner to fly to California for a photo shoot with our company as well! (More details on that to come)

If you haven't noticed, our model search will put us very close to our July 1st launch date. We are considering pushing our launch closer to back-to-school time and updates on that will be coming shortly.

How To Pronounce Adolfo Joaquin!

I had someone email today asking how to pronounce Adolfo Joaquin because they didn't want to massacre it when they told their friends about it. There could be other people out there who feel the same way and just too afraid to ask, so here's how you pronounce it!

Adolfo is Ah-Dohl-Fo

Joaquin is Wa-keen

I was also thinking about having a limited edition collection every season called "The Q". It would have MAYBE 1 or 2 shirts and 1 or 2 pants that would be stuff that I designed strictly for me but that I think would be hot for the special people who could get ahold of it. What do you think?

Charm Jeans?

I've been thinking of making Charm only a jean company. I want to put all the clothes under the adolfo joaquin label and then have a seperate company set up for girls jeans called Charm. What do you think?
