Models / Photographers / Photo Shoots

Hi Girls,

It seems lately we have been getting a ton of emails daily about modeling for our line.



I wanted to let everyone know exactly how we are setting up our shoots and selecting our models so everyone knows the " rules " persay - xoxo

Jessica Louise Clothing is ran by Jessica and Sean Starkey. Our office is in downtown Los Angeles in the Fashion Garment District. All photo shoots are planned in the Los Angeles area. Michelle X Star is the house photographer but we have used other photographers in the past, those photographers have been our personal friends here in Los Angeles ie. Casey Curry, Ken Marcus, B.J. Papas and others. We'de love to see your work, but were currently not excepting new photographers.




When selecting models we MUST MUST MUST see professional garment modeling photos. We currently do not hire any models trying to "break into the business", but we have started a folder on our myspace page for all the cute girls who send in photos of themselves wearing our garments, who knows...we may end up giving you a call?

All models we use are in the Los Angeles area and we highly recommend they do a test shoot with Michelle X Star before working with us.




We do not use models that are Suicide Girls, Gods Girls, or any other semi pornographic website due to our demographic being young girls.




All shoots are currently done TFP.




Mostly, were looking for cute models, with nice personalities who have a strong knack for self promotion. I mean working models, bloggers, girls who have spiffy high traffic myspace pages, bulletin posters, or any or all of those types.




Well, I think thats it ladies!!!

I love all of you girls so much for making my days brighter everyday and its truly flattering that so many girls out there want to represent my line.

The Scarlet Bazaar Pt. 1 & Paper Magazine April Issue

It was a really fun shoot w/ lots of different locations.

Cereal Bar? mmm delicious..

I read about this place in the LA weekley and instantly thought incredible i must go there. And i have to say it lived up to my expectations.
Juju Cereal Bar (thats right) in Westwood serves 60 types of cereal 50 toppings and 15 milk varieties in any combination you can think of as well as their own creations to create the perfect breakfast or snack or dinner since they are open 7-7 m-sat & 9-5 on sunday.
That is if you love cereal & i do.

New Jersey home of my youth.

One side of my family is from New Jersey and so every summer i took a plane there to spend the summers with my grandparents. My first trip alone i was 7. I guess thats why i have never felt uncomfortable traveling alone in what ever country ive gone to. ( i have done a lot of long distance adventures solo) Its much more interesting when you have someone to share it with, but, anyway a few months ago i was contacted by Amanda from the Aquarian out of New Jersey and here is the interview i did for their paper.
Its a really cool weekly music and events paper.

Shes cute and wears a lot of my stuff in everyday life which i like better than if she only wore it for shoots because someone put it on her.

Casting for models.

SO any one interested in modeling for us we will be doing a collaboration casting with two other companies girls and guys. Please if you are interested subscribe to my blog because i will be posting all the details in the next few weeks.
Please dont respond to this posting its a heads up.
Keep in mind you will need a head shot or comp card, some sort of portfolio and for our company you must not have or are planning on modeling for any porn websites ie: Suicide Girls , Gods Girls etc.
So please subscribe to my blog & we will start taking names as soon as we have details and times.

Back from a long Vegas trip...

We just did our biannual trade show in Las Vegas. Its generally my least favorite place in the world. I don't smoke or gamble and the only time i really drink i guess would be there one night only (really funny retarded photos to follow).
I enjoy the camaraderie of all the other regular designers at the shows its like summer camp. Everyone is so nice and this trip i really got to know some of the people i show with and work with a little bit better.
Sean is an amazing business partner before he was involved with the company things were a lot different,slower and on a different level now i feel so much progression its inspiring.
I'm excited to say that we possibly will be working with a really great retailer to bring all of you my line at a really affordable price point.
That is something Ive been trying to figure out for a while and has been really important to me.
So ill keep you updated on that.
We had the amazing Miss Audrey kitching modeling for us this show (we stole her back from Skelanimals for a few days ) I love her shes a solid person and always fun to be around.
Anyway we are back and getting back to work. ill post photos later.
Thanks everyone who came out to ours / Skelanimals party we had alot of fun !!! so i hope you did too.

New Beginnings

They thing i like most about starting a new year is a clean slate.
Last year is in the past now and there is only the future ahead. Its a small glimmer of hope in an ever changing uncertain world.
