Casting FAQs. Ladies, please read this!

Hello all you gorgeous ladies casting to appear in FHM.  Here are the answers to your most frequently asked questions about casting and shoots:

How do I cast on Myspace?

It's very simple. Leave a comment expressing interest in FHM. Please do not leave personal information like email addresses, any web URLs, or list any third party names or your commet may not be posted.

I see all these huge celebrities being photographed by FHM. I'm not well known at all, do I have a chance?

FHM features two different types of ladies. Of course there are the celebrities which FHM is known as the global leader for its photoshoots and features with beautiful actresses and other performers and personalities. FHM also publishes gorgeous unknown ladies in features like Hometown Honeys, Best Friends, Honey Searches, Digital Darlings, and a new upcoming section that will be replacing 20 Hot Dates.  If you're beautiful inside and out, FHM wants to hear from you!

I posted a comment and it was never posted.

First, see above about personal information. Also, to discourage spam, comments not addressed that simply say things like "thanks for the add" or "just showing some love" will not be posted unless addressed to a name. This is done in support of Myspace's no spam policy.

What happens after I post a comment?

After you have posted a comment, your profile gets reviewed, and if there's interest it's then logged into our database.  Just before a shoot invitation you will be asked for more personal and contact information, and a fresh digital picture. This can take up to a year so please don't worry if you do not hear back for a while. And if your profile is private, be sure to not delete this profile as a friend or we won't be able to view it when we check back from time to time.

Can I check back every so often?

Of course. There are no status reports to give you but communications are always welcome and it's never a bad idea to stay visible.

I need pictures, can I get them from you?

If you want pictures for your own use, ask about setting up a personal shoot outside of FHM, or visit Laurensantoine.com and email from there. 

At FHM photo-shoots, you will not receive pictures but once published, and by separate agreement, you may be able to use the images that are published by downloading them from FHMonline.com

What types of ladies does FHM look for?

The best way to see who has successfully cast is to look at ladies pics at fhmonline.com or on this Myspace. You do have to be at least 18 years of age to shoot or appear.

How are we notified if invited to a shoot or casting?

You will be messaged well before a shoot and asked for additional contact information. Some shoots are also noticed by bulletins on Myspace for convenience. Castings are open t everyone and are bulletined, and usually a flyer will be posted on Myspace too.

What are the shoots like, and where are they?

There are three very different types of shoots aside from the celebrity shoots.  1) Exotic Shoots in which we fly a group of ladies to a gorgeous place for several days of shooting (all expenses paid); 2) Regional Shoots the ladies are responsible to get to on their own; 3) Test Shoots that can get published but without video or TV and that are generally shot in California.

What is provided at the shoots?

At most shoots everything is provided. Makeup, hair, wardrobe, catering etc.  At Regional Shoots, if they span several days a hotel is provided as well. At Exotic Shoots everything is paid for including airfare. 

What about "test shoots"?

At test shoots, stylists are only provided in large group tests. You will be responsible for your own makeup, hair and wardrobe set to a standard you will receive before the shoot. Test shoots CAN, and often times do get published if everything comes out to standard.

Will my shoot include video?

All shoots except shoots for Tst Shoots include video profiles and some are being taped for upcoming TV shows.

How big is FHM?

FHM is the original magazine of its kind and has 30 separate international print editions and now 8 leading edge web-sites that are sure to keep FHM a leader in the new millineum.  Bauer Consumer Media, (FHM's corporate name and owner) is one of the largest publishers in the world with multi-billion dollar revenues. FHM's U.S. property, FHMonline.com is one of two flagship properties and a model for future media.

How can I cast in person?

From time to time, FHM holds castings in various cities where you can come meet editorial staff and photographers in person. These castings are usually part of parties and are generally held in nightclubs, hotels, or entertainment complexes.

Can I email pictures to you?

Yes, you can mail pictures to casting@fhmcasting.com but you will still need to have your Myspace registered in our database. It's highly recommended that you have pictures you want us to see on your Myspace at all times.

I don't have professional pictures but plan to get some done. Should I wait to cast?

No. Truth be told, we put more stock in your snapshots than professional images. We want to see the real you and can visualize what you will look like when shot by FHM.

Do I have to pay for my photo shoot?

Never. FHM does not charge to shoot, appear, or participate in the process.

I've been approached by a scout for FHM and asked to shoot a test.  Does that count as casting?

FHM does not have scouts authorized to act on behalf of FHM. Anyone authorized to cast has an email with a domain name of fhmonline.com, fhmcasting.com, emapmetrousa.com, or the older domain of fhmus.com. The only two legitimate Myspaces in the U.S. are this one (www.myspace.com/Laurensantoine for casting), and the corporate Myspace at www.myspace.com/fhmonline.

Is an agent helpful in getting cast?

FHM works with certain agents but it is not required. Even those with an agent or manager will be directly communicated with. No agent or manager is authorized to speak on behalf of FHM, but if they are with an accredited talent of modeling agency they may make inquiries on your behalf but we will not provide any information back to them without with your written authorization or a copy of your contract.

What if I have a question that is not answered here?

Send a message of course! All ladies messages are read and all legitimate questions answered.  Sometimes the volume of messages is so high that messages get overlooked.If that happens, just message again!
