Anyone that has been around me for the last couple of years knows that the 'metaphors' within music have always been very important to me. Since 2004, when I stopped touring with a man in the techno world who sincerely let me down and began to systematically fill the minds of anyone in his path with negative information because I refused to have anything to do with him, I have dealt with more drama than you can imagine. I really sank to a 'dark' place and even questioned who I was. This man even had the audacity to write emails to my wife and 2005 saw even my marriage end and I even lost the building I had purchased. In this time, I also had an eye infection that lasted eons and fought with my eyesight to even regain what sight I had prior to all of this. Naturally, the eye issues were self caused from wearing my contacts for eight weeks and then peeling/ tearing them off my eyes while I gave up my dj and music career to pursue a career in the mortgage business at a company far from honest.

Somehow, I rose above it all primarily due to the companionship of someone very special to me and also attributed to the love of music. I recall this past New Year's a friend had asked me to take him to the airport in his X5 and on the way home, I had picked up my girlfriend and we drove in the winter, windows down to his place to drop off his car in his garage blasting, Jay-Z 'Blueprint 2'. For one moment, it had felt that my life was back to what I had been accustomed to while we drove Southbound on Michigan Avenue in Chicago blasting 'Crazy in Love' with Jay-Z and Beyonce singing and rhyming what we already knew.

During some of the most difficult times, when I could not even get eye doctor's to understand that my eyes needed rest and their prescriptive lenses not even close to allowing me to see properly as my eyes had been so severely strained that each exam and the glasses or contacts themselves further traumatized my already fragile retinas, the one thing that kept me going was music as it has always been my religion. Some house heads might remember Gene Ferris and his album on Soma 'This is my Religion'. Needless to say, when the world seems to be falling down on you from all sides and especially with your vision as dark as mine was, you definitely find the 'light' and I found it with God and for me, it came through music. I am indeed thankful for the 'Angel' that stuck by my side as the whole time was indeed difficult and some of the things that people did to us in the guise of 'helping' were inexcusable yet we have come to somehow even forgive them, or at least I have.

Songs like 'Song Cry', 'I Miss You featuring Aaliyah (R.I.P.)', 'It's A Hard Knock Life', 'Moment of Clarity', 'Never Change' and many more including 'Point of No Return' by Immortal Technique made those difficult days seem manageable and kept my mind focused on what my life would be like if I could just persevere. I met my girlfriend at Vision Nightclub ironically and it was the last time I had performed a live PA with my laptop and software as I had hung up my music career from being let down forming a company around a European talent who had shown his true colors. Since then, I have made a comeback in the music world and have performed over 12 live shows in and around Chicago with a healthy tour schedule going forward. This all coincided with the return of the man whose music got me through and my 'eyes focused on what I love or simply, music. I know music has the power to heal and I promised God that if I ever could see again and get my life back as I knew it I would serve Him, or rather Her (that is a topic for a different day), for the rest of my life on Earth.

I am thankful that like Michael Jordan, Jigga is 'Back in The Building' and not surprised he titled his album 'Kingdom Come' as he is H.O.V.A like Jehova and Def Jam also signed Nasir or Nas and we all know he calls himself 'God's Son'. I received a lot of criticism for calling myself 'God' and find it rather retarded as 'God is in all of us' and 'We are all God'. Anyone that questions this I suggest reading 'Conversations with God' and getting educated about religion, whatever one that may be. Maybe even listen to Rakim who calls himself the 'God Allah'. Music is a universal language that breaks down the cultural barriers that organized religion today cannot and because of this, I set up 'THE HOUSE OF GODS' and set out to prove that MUSIC HEALS as it healed me. I thank Krs-One aka Tha Teacha for sending me the 1992 document called 'H.E.A.L' and I suggest you all to spend some time in 'THE TEMPLE OF HIP HOP'.

To Sean Carter, I sincerely say thank you as I do not know what I would have done without being able to hear the power of your words and music. It affected me in so many positive ways and helped me stand up to the many negative and hateful people in my life trying to get me to give up my dreams as they knew I had talent and a heart that they did not possess as simply, 'I walk with God'. To them I say 'Jigga What?' That's right! Kingdom Come and now, our time has come and I look forward to the many years before 12-21-2012 when HOVA can throw up the sign at a party I am planning in Agra where the Taj Mahal is in my homeland, also the 8th wonder of the world, and it can all 'FADE TO BLACK' or the BIRTH OF OUR CIVILIZATION.

I thank you all, especially the mother of House of Gods who is truly the love of my life and whose love allowed me to realize who I am. I also thank my grandfather (R.I.P.) who for some reason, I have felt by my side this whole time. I will not let any of you down and when I die I know my star will shine bright next to J Dilla's, Drexciya's, Proof's, Aaliyah's and the many others we lost in the struggle. As Game said, 'Aaliyah had a dream, Martin Luther King had a dream' and to him I would like to say 'So did I' as it was about what a homeless man near the United Center told me named Roscoe. 'Tha Werd' was simply 'WE', 'US' and 'OUR' and my dream is the 'HOUSE OF GODS' or a religion of music. To quote D.H.S. and regarding donations, '50 dollars or more... The House of God'

Thursday, November 23, 2006 Happy Thanksgiving!  I hope each one of you has a great holiday surrounded by those you love.  This is, after all, the tradition of this special day.  As a matter of fact, I saw a poll in the newspaper the other morning regarding Thanksgiving.  The poll question read, "Which of the following is going to be most important at your Thanksgiving Day dinner?"  The results showed that 87% chose "Spending time around the holiday table with family and friends." I also hope that you use this holiday wisely – not just from a nutritional standpoint but from a personal and emotional point of view as well.  As you sit around the table with those dear to you, use it as a time to get closer to those you love.  As difficult as it may be, allow the goodness within you to dominate your thoughts at least on this one day. Think of it as an experiment in positive thinking.  If you can perform the mental gymnastics that allow you to do that, you will see those around you in a totally different light.  Make a mindful effort to keep negativity at bay – it's contagious and causes such a destructive and negative loop!   So, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I offer you a challenge.  This challenge is called ReFraming, the technique of consciously manipulating your thoughts to change your emotional state. Giving thanks is one way to do that.  My experience with people tells me that most spend way too much time immersed in the negative.  A negative focus just makes your life difficult and has a powerful and negative ripple effect on those around you.  I see this all the time as I watch far too many people focus on what they DON'T have.  This is precisely the focus that makes people feel sad and depressed.  You know what I mean; we lament the fact that we don't have the right body, the right job, the right mate, etc.  So, in the spirit of ReFraming and the holiday spirit, I suggest you use this Thanksgiving as a time to focus on what you DO have.  Have a wonderful day and remember to count your blessings!   Wishing You Great Health, Dr. John H. Sklare ----- Thank you for reading.  There has been so much negativity around me this year it has been challenging for me, but somehow I still have love for those that have done some of the most hateful things I could have imagined.  Perception of what happens to you often is far from what really happened and this year, I have been blamed for things that I know were not even close to my fault.  I have given more of my things, my time and my energy to people who just took and 9 out of 10 times, somehow I was to blame.  Somehow, I still returned all of this with love and have framed all of the negative as positive and cannot blame others as fear dictated their actions.  So many are so focused on the mighty dollar that they refuse to acknowledge anything I have done for them as I refuse to live life without the generosity that I know we all should have.  At home in India, people might have three outfits in their closets but they have so much love that it is not a surprise that India is a rising country in the global world.  I pray that all of you one day see that often your perceptions of even what our place in the universe is often blocks us all from become 'one' with ourselves.  Awareness or being able to see into the future can be a gift, but in reality it is often a curse.  Happy Thanksgiving to those that have always known what I have been doing with this blog and myspace and understand why... For those that have framed everything done for them as some negative response, I still forgive you all for you have all taught me much about myself.  I pray the one person I care about most wakes up and sees the light and is honest with herself and her  family as I know as do many of our friends and family, that the situation is not the way it has been portrayed as I never counted my acts of generosity because I am blessed so much that anything I need is made available to me and every time, I give them away because blessings are not meant to be owned.

MEANING OF THE NAME 'MANISH"

    every beautiful mind has been ostracized for figuring out something about the world before anyone else.  In the 4th grade, I knew rather easily that the formula einstein searched for 20 years was 1 + 1 = 2 .  An MIT Physicist thinks he has solved it and has achieved great riches by using the string theory of ten dimensional hyperspace and he seems to have found "the formula that is an inch long that explains the laws of the universe" ... However they have trouble proving it as with 10 they cannot simplify to anything but 1 +  0 = 1 and this might make sense to America who believe in a 1 world order.  However, their egos and ignorance cannot seem to realize that it is

I am not guided by money and despite being pre-medicine I refuse to be a glorified drug dealer for the pharmaceutical companies as I have seen the power of music keep many alive and well for eons.

How come Alzheimer's patients are not given music from their past relating their loved ones so they can remember ?  Kidney stones are found with soundwaves?  How come a song can trigger an emotion and studies are not done?  Because there is more money in the treatment than the cure.

The mind can overcome any ailment as it often causes most of what you suffer from.  The world is dying younger from cancer and the hearts of one race are hidden from the hearts of another by Governments set on making money that is paper!

Here are some of the meanings of my name and you are defined by what you are named as your mother and father (1 + 1 =2)  named you that out of gut feelings when you were born.  They created you.   Women bear children and give birth and often Men destroy out of the fact that they cannot give birth but they are essential too.  However, for the world to change Women need to be in positions of power as they give birth to children and ideas are also like children.  You ever notice how missiles seem very tied to penis envy and how much of what happens in war situations deals with fear or simply ego or penis envy... otherwise missiles would not be phallic...

The following, is a flow of thoughts, based in my honest beliefs about love.

I believe there is a difference bewteen healthy (or true) love, and unhealthy (or destructive) love.

This writing is about true love.

Many recent experiances that I have had, coupled with the unique and wonderful people that I have been blessed to meet, have motivated my writing on this subject.


Love is blind, and sees no faults in those who hold it truly and work to reap it's benefits.

Love needs not to decipher between the likes of family, friends, or lovers.

Love can exist, equally in value, in any relationship where careful and commited attention is paid towards recognizing it's grandeur, immensity, and awesome power.

Love demands it's holder's tireless effort and endless work.

Love is as clear, beautiful, and calming, as it is also mystifying, rough, and unnerving.

Love is worth all of the fights required to attain it.

Love is difficult to understand, as well as painstaking to motivate one's actions towards.

Love is an undeniable truth, and it is vital to the continued survival of all human life.

Love takes individual comprimise, and a selfless understanding of other's wants and needs.

Love hurts just as much sometimes, as it feels good at others.

Love allows me to ask for what I believe I need, and prompts those who love me to give as much as they can to meet those needs.

Love lets mistakes become lessons, and lessons become motivational towards improved future experiances.

Love makes those that I love, and those who love me, work to become more patient, wise, and supportive as individuals.


I have found, thusfar, that those who love me right and receive my love in return, also accept me for the whole person that I am and require the same gentle understanding from me.

I feel safe when confiding in, as well as comfortable being vulnerable around, those who I love, and those who love me in return.

I can only love truly, those who are able, to admit their deficiancies as I admit my flaws.

I can only love truly, those who are able, to move towards self betterment and immense growth as I commit to always working on myself.

I cannot accept- ever again- the increadible pain that has been inflicted upon me, when those who I have shown myself honestly to, and also given as much possible love out to, have choosen to easily reject me, rather than doing the difficult work necessary to accept and love me.

I love easily, but because loving requires alot of personal vulnerability, I hurt quite easily as well.

I can only give others, as much love as they are willing or able, to give me in return.

For those who have my true love: My unending thanks

For those who have not been willing or able to accept my true love yet: I will wait- patiently but guarded- until the day you are ready and able to love me in return.

today we found our CIO

I am happy to say today that we found our CIO (Chief Information Officer) for the House of Goddesses, Inc.

LOST

    Is a ship thats wrecked at sea really lost, doesnt it know exactly where it is, i'm thinking its us thats lost... lost might just be a word that just describes that a place is so big we cant exactly know where we are... but exact doesnt matter to many of us... we kinda know where we are... just like you may not have all the tools to do the job... but you improvise, your human we are human we made tools we took being an animal to a whole new level... and now we expect to know where we are at all times? how can we keep track of something that moves so much changes minds so much and gets furious at the littlist things... I dont have any children but I understand them, they are adults trying to be one... step by step gaining knowledge and learning... once an adult people seem to know everything... you ask a kid the very same question as an adult... and their answer may actually be more suiting... spoken with illiteration, energy and creativity...
where did that go when we grew up... and who wanted to lose that freedom...?
like the toys r us song... i dont wanna grow up, all you people leave too much to be known and not enough to be answered... we forget the questions we want answered because weve found things that have answers... but just because you find something doesnt mean it suits you or that your to keep it... and we learn this every day that loss is part of life... poeple are going to think im either crazy or a genious... or perhaps somewhere in between... but I cant stop my mind and the world hasnt been able to either... so I continue down this dusty road kicking the rocks around humming... because this the question of where im going is what keeps me alive... im alive so I kick the rocks... because its entertaining the way a rock bounces off the tip of my shoes... sometimes catching air sometims going where i wanted it to.

were all told this fairy tale and seem to think its real when we can imagine much more real things... a story is a vantage point a way to see a particular thing... but when seen from various sides a story becomes a plethera or an abundance of possible meanings ...
i guess i will just keep smiling... kicking rocks...

and sorry if i kick one and your hiding in the bushes and it whacks you in the head ... and sorry if you get this strange feeling you should be kicking rocks too...
