Pro*Pain: The Name Says It All

On behalf of Mars ILL and Gotee, manchild and I want to announce that the long awaited Pro*Pain release has been officially put on hold by EMI for an undetermined amount of time. You can only imagine the disappointment and frustration we are feeling over this news at such late notice. Mars ILL and Gotee just received this news July 3rd and are still in a bit of shock considering there have been no new complications since the album was first delayed last October. Regarding pre-orders, you will have to talk to your individual companies as to how they plan to handle individual situations. Again, we deeply apologize for the rollercoaster of a ride this has been.

Regardless, Mars ILL is still working hard to bring you the best music we can, and it wont stop here. We trust God's plan for Pro*Pain and for Mars ILL. Stay tuned for His next move.

Back from Nash -- Almost No Show

Our show in Nasvhille ended up going well. Thanks to everyone who came and checked us out. It was the first time i've ever thrown a show in a city other than my own, so some weird stuff went down. Check it out. We had been in town at other events flyering and promoting for Tuesday night. Listener had been in contact with the club owner (Roxy's on Broadway) and it was all good. Contracts signed and all. Spoke to him last week. He spoke to the guy's wife on Monday. It was all good.


So, we show up at the venue at around 5 because we had a lot of extra set up to do. The stage was apparently pretty terrible, so we had bought some materials to make it bigger/stronger, etc, brought extra lighting and monitors, the whole thing. As we sit there for 2 hours not seeing the owner show up, we get worried, b/c our flyers have doors opening at 7. He's not answering his phone...nothing. So, Dust goes to the bar next door and asks if they know what's up. Apparently, our spot got closed down over the weekend by the ABC (Alchohol Beverage Commission, i'm guessing for serving underagers maybe)!!!


So, we get Listener to run down the street to BB Kings on 2nd Ave and ask if their downstairs has anything booked and see if they'll agree to the same split we had worked out with Roxy's. They said yes, so we ended up with a better venue, sound, etc. We had about 100 people pay on a very busy week and with all the drama, so it could have gone much much worse. The show was really dope. Thanks to Macho, Glue, the Remnant and of course my deepspace5 brethren Dust, Listener and Playdough for making it happen. Also, Jason Lawrence and Dennis Preston put in massive work to help us pull it off. That's what's up. I head out on Monday for leg 2 of the Dying of Thirst Tour.
