Tired of this love hate game.

Why is it the the heart is such an easy thing to be toyed with and why is it that there is barely any defence against it getting hurt. As the song says "love is a battlefield" and I am so tired of getting struck down. If love was a game of baseball, I would be out. Out of three relationships, non of them grew into something serious. I have traveled to world, seen things and done things not many people can say they have done. Why is it that I can do all of these things, but I can not attain my center or find that special person that will make me complete? It's driving me nuts.
