When I was in Japan last year, I would take small video clips of everything hoping that one day I could make a video like this one. One year later and I finally got my lazy ass to do it. Originally I was thinking of using Bjork's All Neon Like as the background song but then I thought that maybe U2's City of Blinding Lights was probably more entertaining a maybe even more appropriate. So here it is. This is the very first video I ever made like this, so obviously it's going to be "amateurish". But nevertheless I hope it's enjoyable and that people can appreciate it. I edited it with the good ol' Windows Movie Maker. I hope you enjoy!
I'm VERY excited about this next trip. Its's an exotic location well known for it's wine. I will give more clues later. Right now I'm feeling like a kid who know's he's going to Disney. That's how happy I am!!!

Today is Monday, October 15 2007. It's 2:30 in the fucking morning and I am wide awake. Now why could that possibly be, if I am well aware that I have to wake up TODAY at 6:30am so that I can go to work. Why is it impossible for me to shut my eyes and immediately fall into the deepest sleep that could rest my mind and body? Why?! For the love of God why?!?! And to top it all, there's a fucking dog out side who apparently is also having a shitty night because it wont stop fucking barking! It's time like these were I can sympathize, and only a little (very little!) with Michael Vicks.
God there is so much to write about. First of all I uploaded pictures from the Bjork concert and the family reunion on my dad's side. Bjork to me is freaking awesome, and I am aware that not everyone can understand or like Bjork. I also found out that people who actually like Bjork are lets say, different (Which to me is a compliment to my narcissistic side to believe that I am different). But aside from attracting a different kind of crowd, the thing I like the most about Bjork is that she also attracts a very diverse group of people. I saw at the concert a good interaction of different races and ethnicities, and people with different lifestyles. Besides, Bjork is a very energetic person, and definitely puts on a good show. The family reunion also went well. It re-established a connection to my Puerto Rican side and it gave me a nice feeling. I will admit however that during that week and still today (but not as much) I've been feeling a little depressed. I know this because I've been getting moody and having an attitude and being a smart ass to people who really don't deserve it. I'm the kind of person who when depressed I don't necessarily get sad but I do get temperamental. I've also been feeling like I don't want to do much. And this is when I realized that I was feeling depressed (not to mention the lack of good sleep), and not clinically depressed but rather 'feeling down'. After much meditation I realized that it was because I didn't have much time for myself. Between work, school and being with the family (which can also be stressful) I wasn't spending enough time with myself. Everyone needs some time for themselves, because this is how we get our fuel, our energy to go on. Now I'm feeling better, because aside from spending a little more time with me I'm also fortunate to be an emotionally strong person, and I have this intrapersonal ability where I can understand how I'm feeling and how to react. Well anyway, these are my issues. Oh, and I've also changed the Diana Krall song because apparently people were getting tired of it. Enjoy Manu Chao from Barcelona!
Don't get me wrong, I still LOVE Angelina Jolie and she will always be my first lady... but I must admit that I'm also infatuated with the lovely and extremely beautiful Charlize Theron. I've uploaded two videos of both Angelina and Charlize doing TV ads. Wich one do you like best? Wich one do you think is hotter and why? Vote now!
Well, tomorrow I'll be flying back home, and it makes me sad. But I would like to recap in a nutshell all that happened in Japan. Just to make me a bit more sad. Well I climbed Mt. Takao, got a tattoo in Harajuku, went to Kyoto and had a surreal moment at night in the bathtub with a great view, got into the Big Buddha's belly, went to the beach in Enoshima, went to Tokyo Disney, saw Mt. Fuji and just had about the most amazing time of my life in the great city of Tokyo. That city so modern it's almost like travelling to the future. And the people are so nice! I had to get used to the constant bowing. But now I'm heading back to my boring life and I will really miss Japan, but I'm hopefull of sometime returning to this place. Ok if this blog doesn't make sense it;s because I drank some wine but I tried to fix the typeos and tried to make this coherent.
I've been having the most amazing time here in ..:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Japan. Sunday I went to Mt.Takao, which is about an hour away from Tokyo by train. This mountain is spectacular! At the very top it has a temple built in the 700's with monks still living there. It is literally breathtaking because of its beauty and of how much you have to walk and climb to get there. Today I'm in Kyoto and I came here by a bullet train. Very fucking fast!! The hotel is absolutely amazing, especially the bathroom (which has a great view of the gardens in Kyoto). I also visited this temple called Sanjusangen-do built in 1164 with 1001 exact statues of the Buddha and 28 statues of the 28 guardian deities. Very beautiful! Unfortunately I'm leaving Kyoto tomorrow but still Tokyo is as entertaining. Thursday I'm going to get a tattoo in Harajuku and I'll try to get to Mt.Fuji and Disney Tokyo (just because I've been to 3 of them already: California, Florida, Paris). I am in fucking Tokyo, Japan and I'm loving it! Everyone is so polite and friendly! The city is beautiful and breathtaking. I'm about to head to Shibuya, Roppongi and Harajuku to learn more about this city. I'll post some pics soon, and a Japan flag was added to my collection of flags in Myspace!
Today I'm finally leaving to Tokyo. It's 5:55am right now, I have an extreme hangover from drinking too much wine last night and I'm thirsty as hell. The plane will leave a 10am connecting to Chicago, but I have to be there like around 7:30am. It's a good thing I spent the night at the Hyatt place near the airport. I'm so nervous and so excited and so not in the mood to be carrying around some luggage. Let's hope I make it through...
