What's wrong with her questioning the events of 9/11 ... isn't that what politicians are supposed to do?
We've had this conversation a few times so there's no need to go over the literal MOUNTAINS of evidence that indicates, or at the very least strongly suggests the first investigation was INSUFFICIENT (to say the very least). Anyone not admitting that fact is simply denying reality (and forgetting that first and foremost, 9/11 was used as a justification for the illegal and unjust occupation in Afghanistan and Iraq, long before lies of WMD's and promises of "freedom".)
But speaking from a purely political perspective, Cynthia and Cindy Sheehan (hopefully ridding us of Pelosi in CA) are doing what any GOOD politician would do. When your constituents/citizens have questions, you ANSWER them. You don't ridicule them, ignore them, label them (oh this person doesn't matter they are just a 9/11 truther) or make excuses like so many BAD politicians, JOE BIDEN, do when confronted with real questions about what happened on 09/11/01.
I think Rep. McKinney is only doing what a GOOD politician would do, in light of so many 9/11 SURVIVORS and FAMILY MEMBERS having unanswered questions about what really happened (not to mention architects, engineers, scientists, ex-government/miltary/politicians). Exactly WHAT is the harm in addressing their concerns? How much time and money was spent on investigating Clinton? Watergate? JFK? Challenger? Katrina? Doesn't THE BIGGEST TRAGEDY IN THE HISTORY OF THE COUNTRY deserve the same consideration? NO! It deserves INFINITELY MORE!!!
A New INDEPEDENT Investigation into the attacks of September 11th is not too much to ask, but truly there shouldn't even be a debate!!! The thought of having a non-partison investigating is only "frightening" (unneccessary/etc) to those who have something to lose from HARD questions being answered and the TRUTH being exposed... But back to November '08 -- I don't have a TV so maybe it's different now on the brainwash box, but I can remember for MONTHS and months there was soooooo much HYPE over "will America have it's first black or first woman as President? OOOH HIllary or Obama !!!" But now we find, there is a candidate who is both BLACK AND A WOMAN, yet the media says not a thing... where is the hype for Cynthia? Shouldn't the media have a field day with this...? Not for her policies and opinions but for the simple fact she is the first (at least to my knowledge) black woman running for President (since such a big deal was made over Obama and he wasn't even the first)...
Aside from all that, in policy and in practice, CIC is pro-peace and anti-war... OBAMA (and Biden) are clearly anti-peace and PRO-WAR. They never "went to the hawks", THEY ARE THE HAWKS! And Biden, unlike Obama, does not make it a secret who his masters are (Steve make sure you click this one!!!!@)..
In my humble opinion, the options are:
A Vote for Obama or McCain = I am declaring I am an active accomplice to ENDLESS (well, endless until there are no humans left) GENOCIDE in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine and who knows where else they will decide to destroy. As well as accomplice to an Orwellian nightmare police state (compliments of Blackwater and Obama's National Civilian Stasi Nazi Youth Brigade), warrantless wiretaps, secret prison concentration camps, basically a New World Order that Hitler would admire.
A Vote for McKinney = Win or No Win, I can sleep sound knowing I said NO! to the lesser of both evils... NO! to neverending death and destruction for dollar$ ... NO! to the irreversible dismantling of the middle east (and entire world)... my vote will stand as a true Declaration of my intellectual Independence.
[ but in reality we must remember that a vote for anyone truly doesn't matter in the sense of "effecting change", because it won't be counted correctly due to outrageous vote fraud we are now accustomed to in this country. ]

i was writing this in response to someone who posted a bulletin angrily defending "Jesus" from the facts presented in the film Zeitgeist.
instead of casting pearls before swine, i’ll hurl them here:
a few questions -
1. so are you denying that the story the Catholic church created (Iesus) is nothing more than metaphor/allegory for the SUN? or are the undeniable similarites just a coincidence?
2. why does the church celebrate holidays created by the Catholic Church that are 100% pagan, based solely in SUN worship? (Jeremiah 10)
3. one example, this past week most, if not all, churches had SUN-rise service on EAST STAR (easter) SUN day... do you know why? here is a hint: what is the ONLY star that rises from the east every morning? (i’ll answer this one for you - the SUN !!! ) these customs have NOTHING to do with worship of the Almighty MessiYAH ... it’s veiled SUN WORSHIP! please WAKE UP and see the suN ! ! !

A campus police officer was dispatched around 1:30 a.m. following a report of a fight inside the College Recreation Center where the group Dead Prez was performing.
The female officer arrested a man and placed him in the back of the patrol car. Some of the concertgoers were taunting and questioning the actions of the officer, said Trooper Brandy Kessler of the Washington State Patrol.
"They didn't feel the arrest that was being made was fair," she said.
Campus police Sgt. Darwin Eddy refused to release the man's name Friday afternoon saying, "I don't have the authority to release that and I've got to call a concerned parent."
He did say the case would be forwarded to prosecutors for review.
The crowd continued to grow and became more aggressive.
"Some people blocked the police car that was trying to take the student away," said Dan Hilden, a 20-year-old Evergreen student who attended the concert.
Concerned for her safety, the officer called for backup and the man in the police car was eventually released. The officer took down his name and address.
Thurston County Chief Criminal Deputy James Chamberlain said authorities made the right call in releasing the male because of the escalating unruly behavior of the crowd.
"It was a very volatile situation at one point, and I'm proud of the officers in how they responded," Chamberlain said. "They backed out of there to try and de-escalate the situation instead of making more arrests and possibly making it worse."
Six sheriff's deputies who arrived to assist the campus officer reported that several people in the crowd were throwing rocks, bottles and even a garbage can at the them, and others were grabbing at the deputies' guns.
They were, however, able to clear a path so the campus police officer could leave the scene in her car, Kessler said. But deputies were unable to start their own car at the scene. Chamberlain said the car likely had mechanical problems. The deputy driving the car was able to shut off the electronic equipment in the car and take what items she could before leaving it, he said.
"That's when the problems started," Kessler said. "The car was attacked."
Some in the swelling crowd kicked the patrol car, broke its window, wrote graffiti on it with black marker and rolled the vehicle onto its roof, Kessler said. Two hundred people were at the scene at one point, she said.
Chamberlain said that three other sheriff's patrol cars and a campus police car were damaged in addition to the one that didn't start.
Damages to the wrecked patrol car is estimated at about $25,000, he said. Cumulative damage to all of the cars will likely be more that $30,000.
In addition, a laptop computer and radar gun were taken from the wrecked car, Kessler said. They have not been recovered, she said. No weapons were taken.
Riot police from the State Patrol and sheriff's office arrived at the scene and the crowd quickly dispersed. Hilden said authorities used pepper spray to disperse the crowd. No other arrests were made.
Blood was found on the patrol car from people who apparently cut themselves on broken glass, Kessler said. It will be tested in an attempt to identify suspects, she said.
Deputies suffered minor injuries that didn't required hospitalization or major treatment, Chamberlain said.
After the arrest, Kessler said, a member of the hip-hop group reportedly told the crowd, "They're taking one of our people. Go take care of it."
"It sounds like the band may have been encouraging them a little," she said.
But some of the people at the concert said the band member only told the crowd to get the officer's badge number and look after the man.
A student activities group on campus sponsored the concert, said Jason Wettstein, a college spokesman. Art Costantino, vice of student affairs, said the man who was arrested was not an Evergreen student.
