Category: Life
HI Guys!
Well, I'm all into getting green and I wanted to share some info with you. CO2 output- from electricity usage to travel miles and the CO2 that gets put out into our environment and these sites below can help you calculate your CO2 footprint.
What's awsome... you can not only reduce your CO2 output by cutting back, but also by donating trees. Just one tree can help cut your emmisions... can you imagine if everyone got involved???
So, log on to these sites- learn more and let's start donating trees!!!! Yay!
There are sites below that can help you calculate and donate!

Mr. Krispers- my new addiction
Category: Food and Restaurants
Hey Guys- You know I scout out international snack foods and you know how I am addicted to dark chocolate...
I'm not typically a person who shares my snack food secrets, so I can hord to myself. LOL Well, this one I need to pass onto you guys.
I was at Costco last week and picked up the most amazing snack food in my own back yard- called Mr. Krispers. OH MY GOD!!!! I am now addicted to them. The sour creme and onion rock! Yes- I stink post eating them, but who the heck cares when you have hit nirvana. They are crunchy and rice chips- so better than wheat for sure. Whole Foods also carries them and I think Sam's Club- but check their site and let me know once you taste them what you think!
Wanted to share their link- www.mrkrispers.com
YOU WILL LOVE THEM!!!!

Some Cool Caribbean News from American Airlines!
Current mood: Informative!
Category: Informative! Travel and Places
Hi Guys-
This just crosssed my desk and wanted to put this out. As you know- it can be a pain from many parts of the US to get into the Caribbean.
Well, it is getting a bit easier, as some airlines are routing you away from Puerto Rico with direct flights into some of the islands...
Read below.... Yay! Maybe we need a trip to St. Kitts!!!! :)
Have a great week!
Stef
NEW YORK – American Airlines, already the largest U.S. airline flying out of New York to the Caribbean, will further enhance its schedule to the region this fall when it begins convenient nonstop service from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to St. Kitts and Nevis.
American will offer the only nonstop service currently scheduled between the New York area and St. Kitts and Nevis, a twin-island paradise located just east of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Service will start Nov. 18. American will fly the route twice weekly – on Wednesdays and Sundays – with Boeing 757 aircraft, configured with 22 seats in First Class and 166 seats in the Main Cabin.
"Earlier this year we made it clear that American Airlines intends to be the preferred airline in New York, and our new nonstop service to St. Kitts and Nevis is part of that commitment," said Chuck Imhof, American's Vice President of Passenger Sales – Greater New York. "From New York, travelers on American can expect convenient flights to lots of destinations, competitive fares, and in the case of JFK, a sparkling new state-of-the-art terminal. We now look forward to showing residents of the Tri-State area what a wonderful addition St. Kitts and Nevis is to our schedule."
"We are delighted that American Airlines will operate nonstop service from New York to St. Kitts and Nevis," said Robert Kelly, Director-USA, St. Kitts Tourism Authority. "We offer visitors unspoiled beauty, first-world hospitality, and excellent shopping, resorts and facilities – all in an uncrowded environment. And it's just a short flight from New York on American. St. Kitts and Nevis is an ideal destination for a quick getaway or an extended vacation."
Following is American's schedule between New York JFK and St. Kitts and Nevis, effective Nov. 18. All times shown are local. Flights operate on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Flight Departs Arrives

From St. Kitts and Nevis to New York JFK
Flight Departs Arrives
2052 5:05 p.m. 8:30 p.m.
Nonstop service to St. Kitts and Nevis is the most recent enhancement to American's schedule out of New York. Last month, American added new service or additional flights from New York to Atlanta and Raleigh/Durham, N.C., while its regional affiliate, American Eagle, began nonstop service to Cincinnati. This summer, American will offer additional flights from New York to Port-au-Prince, Haiti; Caracas, Venezuela; and San Francisco. In September, American will begin new nonstop service from New York to Las Vegas, while American Eagle starts nonstop service to Louisville, Ky.

VERY EXCITING NEWS TO SHARE WITH MY BUDS!
Category: Writing and Poetry
INTERNATIONALLY-REKNOWNED 'ADVENTURE GIRL'
(AKA STEFANIE MICHAELS)
JOINS AFFLUENT MAGAZINE AS SENIOR TRAVEL EDITOR
LOS ANGELES, APRIL 5, 2007 — With the July-August issue, Stefanie Michaels—known to fans around the world as Adventure Girl—will join the Affluent magazine writing team as Senior Travel Editor. In this role, Michaels will motivate readers to explore the world with exclusive and exciting travel tips, and provide excerpts of her many exploits as she fulfills her personal travel and adventure dreams.
With a goal to become the Martha Stewart of travel, Michaels makes appearances all over the world, and has shared her experiences with such media outlets as FOX News, CNN, ABC and NBC. She recently released the first in a series of books titled Adventure Girl's Guide to Finding Adventure… without Breaking a Nail.
According to Affluent Editor-In-Chief Don Allen, Michaels is the right fit and flavor for the luxury lifestyle magazine. "We share an interest in the unusual, the upscale and the outrageous," he explains. "With Stefanie's enthusiasm and ability to communicate, she will take Affluent readers on written adventures of a lifetime, adding a whole new dimension to the magazine."
In the upcoming issue of Affluent, readers learn how Michaels got her start as an actress, model and Internet icon. They will be able to read how the California native earned the title of Adventure Girl, and what she does to live up to that name. Then, in the July-August issue, Adventure Girl will share her real-life experiences with the Las Vegas Zero Gravity Corporation, the first and only FAA-approved provider of commercial weightless flights.
A modified Boeing 727 will rise 32,000 feet at a sharp angle and, as the plane climbs, Michaels, Buzz Alderin and other VIPS will feel 1.8 times the normal pull of the earth. The group will then plunge 8,000 feet to experience 25-second snippets of zero gravity during the descent.
For Michaels, the experience at Zero Gravity is one of many opportunities she has seized as Adventure Girl. For example, this past March she competed in the first leg of the 35th Iditarod dog sled race in Anchorage, Alaska.
"Affluent is a beautiful magazine which offers a decadent outlet for people who enjoy style, travel and the best the world has to offer," said Michaels. "What a treat that I will be able to share my experiences with readers who are adventurous in spirit and enjoy the finer things in life."
"This partnership is a benefit to everyone involved, specifically Affluent readers and advertisers," adds Jill Lambert, who manages Michaels and the Adventure Girl brand. "Stefanie is an ideal person to share her adventures with readers and inspire them to take travel risks of their own. At the same time, advertisers in such categories as Travel, Lifestyle and Health and Fitness have a unique opportunity to reach their target audience."
Affluent magazine is based in Southern Oregon, but has an international scope, with feature stories that highlight things to do, places to see and products that enhance the lifestyle of the financially fit.
