Influenced by alternative music, Gonna got his first taste of live music playing in a band when only a teenager. Having been exposed to house music at various clubs, he fell deeply into this scene and began to DJ as a result. Since then he has been regularly DJing at a diverse range of clubs in Tokyo, Osaka and also open air raves, all the while developing his skills behind the decks. His DJ style is very intriguing as he mixes a diverse range of styles aimed squarely at the dance floor.
In March 2005, his first album "My Existence" was dropped from a Japanese label called WC Recordings which is laid out like a non stop mix CD with a bright, melodic feel. This release received high acclaim from many critics in the press. Gonno has also released a 12" EP entitled "Hammersmith EP" from Re-Active (UK) in September of that year which was supported by DJs such as Laurent Garnier.
He has an ability to instill his tracks with amazing melodies. Furthermore his tracks have grown strongly with each passing release.
In January 2006, his acid style remix was included in "Stian Klo / Timanfaya" from Perc Trax (UK) which is known for releasing a remix by James Holden. Gonno's own 12 EP has just come out from Perc Trax.
