Oklahoma state legislator Sally Kern went on an honest-to-FSM rant, equating homosexuality to toe cancer (wtf??? seriously, HUH???) and calling it the greatest threat this country faces.

Let me make it perfectly clear what I think about it: THAT EVIL, POISONOUS BITCH!

Show her that people are LISTENING, that people are PAYING ATTENTION and that she CANNOT expect to spout this sort of hatemongering and not be called to task for it! Click this link, add your name to the open letter to Sally Kern denouncing her hateful speech, then pass it on to every single person you know.

My last blog

Or at least I figure it'll be my last. We're in the bedroom, two stories above the ground, and we've boarded up the downstairs windows, but I don't think it'll help in the end. It's only a matter of time. So, while we still have power (and cable), I'm spreading the word, just in case there's still time for everyone else.

It started earlier this evening, way more suddenly than I'd always thought it would. My son came running in from outside, saying some man was chasing him. I called my husband to come up from his office and bring his gun, thinking if someone was really chasing my child, we could maybe scare them off. Or protect ourselves, if necessary. Well, by the time he got upstairs, we saw the person my son had said was chasing him. It was a man, all right. A dead man.

Yeah, I know, you think I'm nuts. I thought so too at first. But the boys both saw it too. The skin was falling off of it, but it was moving. And we knew what it was.

Now, I have always had a zombie plan. But it kind of involved being able to get to my car, which I park in the garage. I'd accidentally left the garage door up today, and they were already there. Two of them. They rushed us, and we barely got back up the stairs in time.

Now we're trapped. And my daughter's out there somewhere. She was spending the night with her best friend. I can only hope she's all right. Maybe they got out. She doesn't answer her cell phone, but she usually doesn't anyway. And none of the phones work now.

Anyone who's there, get somewhere secure and safe, with food and water and weapons. Maybe there's someone looking for survivors.

I wish I'd live to write about this. It would make one hell of a story.

I just found out that Patrick Wolf played on Conan O'Brian on the May 9th show, and I didn't know he was going to be on so I MISSED IT!!!

What should I buy?

A watch? Some Viagra so I can penetrate my partner all night long and she will like my penis best? Or maybe a Russian bride?? Hm, all the loan requests I don't remember making have been approved, so maybe I can afford it. But only if I take care of all the problems with my non-existent eBay account, not to mention all those accounts I don't have which have been illegally accessed at banks I've never been to.

Yes, I've been reading my spam again. Hey, it's entertaining!

Manloveromance dissed by the Hyatt (and RT?)

During the Romantic Times convention in Houston this past week, the Hyatt Regency where the convention was held asked the RT management to take down the Manloveromance display. I got the story from Laura Baumbach, Fearless Leader of the Manloveromance group, and I will let you get the full story from her blog rather than me repeating it and possibly getting pertinent details wrong.
