We are happy to annunce our next show in London...a really gouregous event on a boat on Thames!!!...;-)

Rose is a rose is a rose… La famosa tautologia della rosa è contenuta nella fiaba The world is round che la scrittrice Gertrude Stein, una delle figure più importanti dell'avanguardia americana degli anni Dieci e Venti, compose nel 1939. Cesare Pavese, primo traduttore in Italia delle opere della Stein, definì la fiaba incantevole (delightful) affermando: "È il libro di avventure ideale (…) e mi ha fatto molto sognare a proposito del monte e della sedia". E Rosa è infatti anche una bambina, protagonista di questa fiaba, che sale su un monte tutta sola tenendo stretta stretta una sedia blu perdendosi e ritrovandosi dopo molte avventure.
Tra paesaggi sonori, caroselli strumentali classici e armonie giocose la band rivelazione Amycanbe presenta al Rockisland un live set speciale capace di fondere le atmosfere acustiche e raffinate del loro primo album Being a grown-up sure is complicated con le sperimentazioni verbali di Gertrude Stein. Gli Amycanbe, guidati dalla voce lieve e lunare di Francesca Amati, propongono brani di semplice intensità e puro incanto, graffiati da un dripping di chitarre, batterie, fiati ed effetti elettronici vari, a sfumare il confine tra forma canzone e partiture strumentali, la rivisitazione di un pop d'autore, impreziosito da trame melodiche sussurrate, puntellate da note liquide vibranti di sottile calore emotivo.
