Ouch!!
Current mood:  sore
I was having a problem with my big toe on my right foot… So much so it hurt like crazy when I'd put on a shoe. I knew I had to have it taken care of, and tonight I had a little out patient surgery on it. This was a big deal for me because I am a total wuss when it comes to needles and blood… especially my own…
So three injections in my foot later I was numbed up. I listened to my ipod so I didn't have to hear what was going on, but I did peek and saw some of the craziest scissors I've ever seen and a scalpel… That was enough to make me look away. When I was finished and checking out at the front desk I looked down and saw I had completely bled thru all the wrapping… I saw the doctor walking down the hall and I asked… "Ummm am I supposed to be bleeding thru that so fast?" He looked a little startled and asked me if I took blood thinners… Ummm no I don't… ( and I thought isnt that a question you should ask a patient BEFORE cutting into them?? Im no MD but still….)
So he rewrapped me with triple the gauze etc, and I was good to go. I actually walked home by myself… well limped is more like it, those shots really worked… (It was a 3 block walk btw) So aside from my foot throbbing like crazy, so far so good. And no more blood. The bad thing is I have to wait a week to wear a shoe again.
