Playing The Whisky’s Women Rock Night

Apocalipstick had our CD Release Party at The Whisky A Go Go's Women Rock Night, Saturday November 3^rd!  We played a fun, rockin' show with amazing bands, and most important, a loud, boisterous crowd!  Thanks to everyone who came, sang, danced, drank, passed out, and made our night awesome!

We also made new friends!  Here is Jenna Blush and Abby Lipstick with Clarissa from the haunting Southern Drama!  They are gorgeous girls with an almost equally gorgeous web site.  Check it out!

We're so tickled that our new friend Romeo, drummer of Rock Beats Paper  is sportin' our t shirt on stage along with our very own Stage Manager, Dik.

And we shared our dressing room with fellow lady rockers, Pretty in Stereo !  Here we are with Cassie, their awesome bass player:

Sharing a dressing room, us and PIS wanted to booze it up before going on, but the darn venue wouldn't let us.  What, The Whisky won't let us struggling musicians smuggle in our own booze?  You make me cry.

Just as well, because last time we drank before our gig we forgot lyrics, stumbled around, and had the fateful drumstick to the eye tragedy!  Drummer, Jeannette Gloss getting ready for our gig with Red Bull instead: 

Fans, you don't have to protect your eyes from flying drumsticks anymore, although she did take her shirt off after she got too hot from her sexy, hot drum solo! =)   Did anyone take pictures? Send them over!

We debuted out new song "Little Girls" about being a girl band and kickin' butt!  It's a lot easier when our friend, Dik lets us beat up on him!

And as usual there was after partying and silliness!

Band Field Trip to see The Donnas

What does a hard working girl band do to take a break and get inspiration?  We watch our favorite girl band, The Donnas!  Jenna Blush, Amy Lashes, and Abby Lipstick venture out of their OC Bubble to LA with their roadie and security guard, Francisco.  Jeannette Gloss was unfortunately absent, but still being very Apocalipstick and partying in Vegas.

As always we like to start our outings with shoes and booze…

And no girl band outing is complete without the obligatory catfight!

We're a peaceful girl band and there will be no finger pointing as to who started it all.  But we'll bOObie point and let you come to your own conclusions...

So the booze is finally starting to kick in and we get brave enough to approach random kids and give them candy, I mean Apocalipstick stickers.  Suddenly their moms noticed their children talking to strangers and quickly came by to rescue them.

Just in time too because the first band starts!  This is our first time seeing The Binges and we love them so much we come back the next week to see them headline!  Check out these rockin' sisters!

They're allmost as rockin' as the Apocalipstick sisters!

Don't worry, we'll get there especially with our inspirational guitar hero, Mayuko!

The show was so rockin' we had to protect ourselves from the crazy crowd surfers before they broke our lead guitarist's precious thunder hands!

So beaten up, sweaty off other people's sweat, tired but glowing (again from other people's sweat) from rockin to our favorite girl band we go back home to the OC Bubble, happy and working at becoming a fellow girl band to ROCK us all!

Apocalipstick Rocks the Birthday Bash

Apocalipstick knows how to party!  Amy and I celebrated our birthdays with our bands playing at friend Carnation's house.  If you came, we love you, and you know how awesome it was!  If you missed it, you suck, but we forgive you cuz you'll come to our next gig! 

The night started out with Librans Fall making us fall all over again with heartthrob Trung's vocal cooing and Amy Band Slut's contagious choruses.  After the keg had been quickly emptied, Apocalipstick was up.  The crowd and band having become sufficiently drunk, we ran up the three inches of rockstar stage and started out with chick bitch original Pretty Boy complete with harmonized screams of "I wanna jump you all of the time!" 

Next I asked for a hurly burly tough guy to help the cute, wittle, girl band with the next song.  Next thing you know, drunk volunteer Amit was on his hands and knees, and before Jenna Jailbait could yell "Stiletto to the heart!", he got a Converse to the ass.  Ah, good sport!

We loved the drunk, feisty crowd, and left them wanting more.  As good girls, we know how to get you all hot and heavy, just to blue ball you as you crawl back for more.  We're a crowd teaser, and you love it!

Faint Memories – More Beer, Less Brain Cells

This is the first song we recorded!  First written by Amy in college as a joke, then completed after Amy and I became rockstar roommates.  The partying, especially the infamous apartment warming party accumulated way too many hungover faint memories.  Here is the birth child of more beer and less brain cells.  Thank goodness for Jailbait Jenna and Designated Julia, otherwise we'd never get anything done!
