Greetings of Love. Recently I started a Cincinnati ACIM/Awakening Mind Meetup group for Cincinnati. With all the travels and gatherings around the world, and with recent attention on Oprah's show & website, there are increasing numbers of ACIM students in the United States & worldwide. One of the ways students can come together and learn together is through meetup groups in cities around the world. Since setting up a group I have received invitations from people in other groups around the world.
I received one e-mail from Holland, and here are a few e-mails I received after I joined various ACIM meetup groups:
Hi David,
Nice to make your acquaintance! I've seen some of your videos on YouTube. If you ever have any plans to come to Tokyo, pls let me know in advance. Perhaps we can arrange some kind of event for you. We are a small group at present, usually 5 or so people come to our monthly meetings, both non-Japanese and Japanese, people who have been studying ACIM for 20+ years, newcomers, women and men. It's a pretty nice way to spend a few hours on a Sunday morning, I dare say.

P.S. I'm from a small town in Massachusetts called Sharon. I've been in Japan 23 years, am married to a Japanese women, we have 3 kids, got into meditation many years ago and ACIM 1 1/2 years ago. Welcome to the Columbus Chapter of "A Course In Miracles." It is wonderful that you are spreading the light (that which is here & there, whole and indivisible) throughout the world.
We welcome speakers of ACIM at our gatherings, and since you are so close, maybe we should schedule. Please let me know what that would entail and if you have interest. We meet every Sunday.
Currently during the gatherings we ascend with the Lessons of the Course for the first 20-45 minutes, both with eyes closed and then in an eyes-opened fashion as we look about the room and our world. We then read a section from the Course followed by an experential demonstration so we might drink and experience the Course and not just read it, so to speak. We are currently on Chapter 21.
Most of the current attendees have been coming weekly for almost two-years now, and so they are very much a committed group. I believe you would enjoy them, and I know they would enjoy a visit from a fellow ACIM facilitator.

Blessings of peace. Our friend Tony in the Atlanta area is working on converting many hours of video footage (from my visit to southern Sweden this Summer) into flash files for eventual use on our main website. This is a fairly slow process and it is done on an entirely voluntary basis. The time it takes for video recordings to reach the Internet on web pages where they can be viewed involves many, many elements of preparation. My friend Camille in the Atlanta area has offered to help Tony with some editing, and Jenny has also expressed an interest in this task as well. So while Tony continues his conversions, and Jenny plans to return to the USA in early September, and Camille is ready and waiting to help editing, I have and will be uploading as many new videos as I can in these days before our final Summer retreat (August 29-31).
We always welcome dedicated, devoted people who would like to help out with projects that are unfolding. Right down the street Charles hosts visitors at the Holy Spirit house, and our webmaster Kerri will be staying in one of the guest rooms upstairs in September. We will be having a few other additional ongoing projects when friends visit from Australia, New Zealand, & Ireland in the coming weeks, and the online Internet video projects will continue to unfold as there is time and focus and willing people to be put towards them.
Lisa just forwarded to me an e-mail requesting high quality videos of my teachings for Youtube, and I am including the message received and my response to it below.
First of all I want to congratulate you and all the people at awakening-mind for resuscitating David Hoffmeister..s channel on you tube. It has been dead for a long period. I would like to make one suggestion though. Most videos posted have a poor quality. To be heard the message of the holy spirit must sound loud a clear. With such poor quality sound it is almost impossible to follow David's talks and therefor all the work of making the videos and posting them on you tube gets lost. Please give some attention to the videos sound quality. It will help to spread a very important message

We have lots and lots of raw footage from past gatherings and from the recent trips to the South Pacific & Europe, and these all have clear quality audio & video. Alas I am the only one with the skills and willingness and time right now to edit the video clips and upload them to the Internet.
Youtube has a limit of 10 minutes for video clips, and it takes lots of time & care & attention to break up & edit the raw footage to fit this requirement. The Holy Spirit has me traveling around the world in many, many places, so without volunteers and helpers here in Cincinnati the pace that these videos can be posted on the Internet is as fast as can be and with as much quality as the brief time at the PH for me allows.
I have just posted a first set of "higher quality" videos on Myspace and Yahoo and Google, and the next 2 weeks are set aside for more of this activity on my part. I have also posted a few videos on a new networking site at: http://iamacim.ning.com/video though you may have to join this helpful group to be able to watch them.
The Wisdom is indeed profound, and since everything is accomplished on love offerings & donations and with volunteers (and no paid staff), the focus remains always on Content. The form and appearances are always the best available, and you can rest assured in this. Holy Spirit always uses everything in a maximal way.
Your suggestions are taken into my heart. Please know that I am offering everything in my heart freely & fully, and I greatly appreciate all the Help that the Holy Spirit sends our way!
Truth is within the mind. Yet there is a belief system that produces deception, a state of unawareness, which obscures the awareness of truth. We have an opportunity, in a deeply meaningful way, to come together and look calmly at the obstacles to Love and ask the Spirit to bring illumination. The mind which perceives itself as existing within a world of duality always operates from a dualistic belief system. Continually questioning this dualistic belief system is often perceived as unsettling and overwhelming; yet this questioning is necessary if one is to attain a constant state of peace.
There is just one Spirit, but there appear to be many thoughts, emotions, and perceptions that conceal awareness of Spirit. These are all temptations to forget Self and God. If faith is given to these illusions, there is not willingness to question the underlying false belief at the root of all misperception. It is very important for us to be open-minded and willing to let the Spirit help us unveil this false belief.
The message I am sharing is that truth is within you and that consistent peace of mind is a goal that you can and inevitably must attain, because it is the only Reality. It's a peace that comes into awareness from being tuned in to that small, still Voice within, and letting go of another voice in the deceived mind, the ego, which is the voice of conflict, fear, and death. In that sense our topic today can be described like this: there are two voices in the deceived mind, and this discussion is a means to help each of us learn to listen only to the Voice for God or the Voice for peace, and thus bring an end to self deception.
This Voice for God or peace could be called one's intuition or inner guide. You may think of this Voice as an "Inner Knowing," or "Higher Power." What we want to do is get beyond the words, which are forms, and go deeper. We want to join in an intention to experience clarity of mind and peace of mind. We want to come to the present moment, to the realization that right now, this very instant, one is perfect. It's not a matter of trying to build up and improve one's self.
No matter how improved or inflated the limited self seems to be, it will never be the changeless, eternal Self that God created. One must be aware of the trap of thinking that one's happiness, peace of mind, and salvation are somewhere off in the future. The linear (past- future) concept of time is part of the dualistic belief system that must be questioned. There is great joy and contentment in the experience of NOW. God isn't holding out on us or dangling a carrot of eternal peace before us, saying "Here's Enlightenment, keep reaching . . .OOPS, you missed again." Enlightenment is right here, right now, for the mind that is ready, open, and willing to recognize it.
The Kingdom at Heaven is at hand means it is Now. Now is the gateway to the Eternal. For time and eternity cannot both exist. All is One with God, and I am grateful for the Beloved Eternity which is Real and True. Now is the time of Salvation!

Greetings of Love. A number of us enjoy sharing on myspace and Yahoo. Here is a community website that is non-commercial, online, dedicated A Course In Miracles Community and it offers the opportunity to share your ideas and insights and inspirations, and to offer and receive help, and to upload music and videos that you want to share with other ACIM students & teachers.
It is called "I am A Course In Miracles" and it was founded by Devan J. Byrne. I just discovered it today, and invited lots of my ACIM friends to join in with me. My friends Nouk Sanchez and David Fishman and friends from as far as Brazil to the Netherlands have joined in the last hour or so. Here is the page of profiles:
