We NEED a drummer!!!
Current mood: awake
After waiting, and waiting, and waiting some more...we've decided that we need a new drummer. Joon has been a no show since March and in order for us to become active again, we need a change. If you are a "pocket" drummer or know of one, please contact us and we'll figure out a time to set up a audition.
By "pocket" drumming, we mean someone who is tight on licks and not all over the place with beats. We're looking for a Brad Wilk/Chad Sexton/Sim Cain type (if you don't know, don't apply).
Applicants MUST be local...at least live in Middle Tennessee with a way to get to the practice spot in McMinnville.
Hit us up, we're tired of waiting around and want to play!!!

its been awhile.....
Current mood: blah
Category: Blogging
Yeah. It has been a bit since I've posted anything new. We've been pretty busy with our private lives outside of the band. Joon and I have been mad busy with work, Dave & Chad have been playing in a new side band called "April's Monkey". I talked to Joon yesterday and he told me that he has been trying to schedule time to come down, but to no avail. Maybe this coming weekend will work out.
We have a lot to do, and no time to do it.

2 more practices in the books!
Current mood: drained
Category: Music
Well. We've had two Seedz practices since my last post and things are going well. We're slowly getting a little better playing the old stuff, and still working on the new. We're getting along great, before anyone starts asking that question while reading this. We're about as tight as we were back in the day, before we sorta fell apart and went on a 5 year hiatus. The Feburary practice was a little rough. SuperBuzz..aka Chad, decided to go on a weekend moonshine "trip" at JB & Dave's house. We still managed to start writing a new song that we continued to work on a bit during the March 17th practice. Joon has kept true his scheduled visits. We've been planning our "month" practices, 3 months in advance. April, May, and June have been set and we plan on working on more new shit. I'm still hoping to hook up a show at some point between now and summer.
Thank you to all who have been sending us luv. Our work schedules are tough and we try to get back to peeps in a timely mannor.
Keep the faith!

a small update...
Current mood: tired
Category: Blogging
I'm looking forward to the Seedz practice this coming weekend. We're planning on getting some new stuff written and I'm pumped up about it. I'm very interested in hearing how the sound has changed from the old Looney Bin days. If you haven't noticed, we have added 2 "new" songs to the main page. They are remakes of our old tunes. They are in a very raw form, from a practice we had last month. With Joon being in Ohio, its very hard to get our shit together enough to actaually record. But like I always say, we will eventually record a real album. I told you all the Bad Seedz weren't dead, and I kept my word. So no need to doubt me this time. Johnny is working on a way to make the "Den of Sin" sound worthy enough so we can record in it.
Anyway. I'll have more after this weekends practice. Thank you all for the love and support!! Please continue to post comments through-out the page!!!
One Love,
~KeMo & The Seedz~

News from The Den of Sin
Current mood: nostalgic
Category: Blogging
It's been a little while since I've posted anything on here, so I figured I would just let you all know how we're doing. Bad Seedz had a good practice this past Saturday. Joon came down Friday night and we all got together Saturday morning. After a "brunch" (Dave was the only one who ate breakfast), we headed back to JB's and started to work. We have scrapped every cover we've done and got down to the bare bones and worked on the music we have written. We have done these songs a million times (some of which has never been heard outside of our circle), but to get them as perfect and tight as we want them, is a small task. There was talk of setting up a show in about a month or so, but nothing has been set in stone. When we do decide to break our silence and start kickin asses, you'll be the first to know. The "return" show is gonna be hype! By the way, we do intend on playing a show BEFORE Axl Rose decides to release the new Guns N' Roses album. Hahaha! Whenever the fuck that is!
We would like to welcome some new My Spacer's to the Bad Seedz friends list. They're are too many to name, so if your one of the 800+ plus, consider this welcome for you!
We have been recording our practices like we used to do at Da Looney Bin. This is a way for us to "capture the magic" as it happens, and to see what parts we need to change. We are still hoping to get into a studio sometime this year. Keep your fingers crossed!
Until next blog!

Manchester Arts Center (Parnasus) Burns down
Current mood: sick
Category: Blogging
I just got an email from Kenny Knight telling me that Parnasus burned to the ground last night. This was where we all got our start. Bad Seedz had the greatest show of our career at that place. We had the place goin nuts and tore the roof off that bitch! Yes, it was many years ago, but people still to this day talk about it. We have the video of the show, but the audio is horrible. Maybe we can figure out a way to tweek it some and release it. Right now only a handful of people have a copy of it. Here is a link to the video from Channel 2 news: Mancester Arts Center lost in a fire. This is a sad day in our little music community.

dave's new bass, waiting for Joon...
Current mood: thankful
Category: Blogging
I figured I'd write a few lines and kill some time. I called dave the other night to get directions to Exit-In. I've only been there once before with the guys to see Kings X. Me and Kris were going to see Regina Spektor (who I might add is a pure musical genius!). He told me that his new bass has come from the factory and he was excited about going home and playing it. I haven't talked to him since, but I'm sure he's happy with it.
We're hoping to get back down into the "Den of Sin" at Johnny's house to get to work on some new Seedz songs. We have a couple songs no one has heard before and we're sure that you all will dig what we have written. We're dropping the covers we used to do. I think we might work on a couple newer ones just to have around, but we're concentrating more on originals. Everyone has been very busy lately so thats why things are moving slow. Kenny Knight has been on my ass about wanting to play shows with The Seedz, and we've only got shit going with The Rejects to play live shows.
Thank you again to everyone's support. Its you all who keep this dream alive.

The Capalano's Gig with OS
Current mood: accomplished
Category: Blogging
What a night it was.
We went into this show with the cards stacked against us. Johnboy having to work, Dave was sick, and Chad burned his hands in a terrible pillow fire that almost set is bed a blaze. We knew that we were going to have to step up our game a little and make do with what we had. And for some strange reason, it worked. We opened our set with a David Bowie cover, Ziggy Stardust. We carried on as best as we could with more covers...Some Johnny Cash, Social D, The Replacements, and even a Beatles cover of Blackbird. It all in all wasn't too bad of a gig. It could have been better, but considering the odds against us, we just came out swinging and made due with what we had. Chad, Dave, & I would like to thank Outlaw Sally for inviting us to play the show, and we would also like to thank everyone for sitting through our shakey performance. We luv you guys and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the support!
