Bella Morte Featured at Carpe Noctem! So go check it out… immediately! Or, read the rest of this damned blog and then go check it out… immediately.
Our US tour starts around June 20th and will have us playing some twenty-five to thirty cities in the US and three dates in our neighbor to the north, Canada. I don’t think we’ve ever played a schedule as hectic as this one. From what I’ve seen of our itinerary, it seems that we have twenty four shows in twenty five days to kick things off! And one of the over-night trips is about fourteen hours. If you do the math, you’ll realize there isn’t much time left in there for sleep. But hell, who needs sleep when you have so much damned ROCK to bring the world, right? And that’s us… rockiner to the rotten core! The dates are going to be announced pretty soon here, I promise. No fingers crossed or anything. And no middle fingers up either.
My first novel officially has a title now… and it is… "The Sticks". As in the woods, or the country. It’s about to be sent to a copy editor (the fine folks who have the awful task of checking the grammar and spelling) before the novel goes to the press. I’ll keep you posted on that here as well as on my personal profile. Needless to say, I’m excited as hell to find out what the release date will be for "The Sticks"!
Thanks for all your comments on the new photos! It’s my favorite shoot we’ve done to date, and it’s been nice getting so much positive feedback on the shots. Props to 12:13 Photography for doing such a killer job! We finally have more than one band picture with Tony Pugh in it! That took way too long if you ask me. If you still haven’t met Tony, I don’t advise it. Ummm… Just kidding!
Oh yeah… we’re almost done writing the material for our upcoming album which WILL be available in the fall. Soon we’ll be entering the studio, locking the doors and throwing away the key, hoping someone wonders where we are in about a month and rescues us from an untimely death. I hate untimely death. Especially mine. Here’s a sneak peak filmed by a fan at our recent gig in Ithaca, NY.
Anyway, as we’re gearing up to leave for our June tour, we’re asking all you dedicated fans and friends to forward our profile to everyone you know, even if it might annoy the piss out of them. Take one for the team. We’re working hard to spread the word further and further, and you guys always make it a lot easier on us and, frankly, you probably do a better job of it. :)
A Spooky sort of Love, Andy

I was recently contacted to do an interview with Vampire Freaks, and wanted to pass along a link to you guys so you could check it out. The interview was done over the phone a few short weeks ago. I make every effort to write back to fans, but given how busy the band is and how many messages and comments come through here it isn't always possible. Maybe this interview will answer some of your questions... Know that we love you guys for your support, and that none of it goes unnoticed. We can't wait to see you all this June and July! We... are... ROCKINER!
Hey everyone! Consider this your Valentine's Day present from all of us in the band! We can't take each of you out for dinner, because there simply isn't enough time... We shot this video with director Eric Thomas Craven (the guy behind the Earth Angel video) a while back, but after his hard drive crashed we thought we'dlost everything. Well, after some major delays, Eric restored the footage and re-edited what you see here. We're proud to present... ON THE EDGE!
Now drop in to our youtube profile and leave a comment damn it! CLICK HERE! And... post this video on your profile by going to youtube and grabbing the embed code!
In other news, check out the newly redesigned BellaMorte.com!
Happy Valentine's Day spooky guys and gals! Hope you found that special ghoul to spend the day with. Thanks for the unending support!
~Andy
PS~ There are MAJOR plans in the works for a US tour in June/July... then maybe we can take you all to dinner... stay tuned!
Bella Morte Appearance in Graphic Novel by Ross Campbell
Current mood: busy
BELLA MORTE APPEARS IN ROSS CAMPBELL'S LATEST GRAPHIC NOVEL, "WET MOON VOL. 3"! There's an entire concert sequence in the book featuring yours truly, the greatest spooky band on the planet! If you aren't already in the know about Ross' work, then check him out here, then pick up a copy of Wet Moon: Volume 3 at amazon.com or get a copy at your local book/comic store. You'll be damned pleased you did.You can check out more Bella Morte art by Ross Campbell in our photos here on MySpace. NEW ALBUM UPDATE So, to update you fine, fine folks out there reading, we've gotten ten or so songs done in the last couple of months. We plan on having close to thirty finished tracks before choosing the best of them for the next album. Believe me when I say we're working our asses off right now, and having a good time while we're at it. This album is gonna be bangin'.
A NEW (OLD) VIDEO BACK FROM THE GRAVE! A video we shot for the song "On the Edge" shortly after recording Bleed the Grey Sky Black was thought to be lost on a fried hard-drive. However, it was recently unearthed by director "Eric Thomas Craven" and will be released online on Febuary 14th! So mark your calendars and make sure to visit the profile here on the 14th to check it out! Consider it a Valentine's Day gift from us to you or something...
LOST INTERVIEW The recent interview I did with Vampire Freaks went missing for a short time but has recently been reposted… here it is… Interview with Bella Morte
NEW ALBUM UPDATE We've been writing music like a bunch of fiends over the last month, and now it's time to start cutting demos. We're being very picky about which songs make the next album, as we want it to be the best yet. From what I'm hearing so far, that's not going to be a problem! But still, too many albums come out with one or two great songs and a lot of filler tracks making up the rest of the time. We'll never be the type of band that would release something we aren't behind 100 percent. I'll keep you posted on how things are coming along with the album, and we'll be looking to release the first song as a digital single early this spring.
HEAR A B-SIDE FROM BLEED THE GREY SKY BLACK FOR FREE! Though things could change, right now it is looking like we will be recording this album ourselves. It will be the first time the band has ever had complete control over a recording, and we're looking forward to the challenge. Micah has become one hell of a producer/engineer, and you can check out his work at Final Symphony. A song called "Today" which we recorded for Bleed the Grey Sky Black that didn't make it on to the album is on the music player there, so go check it out.
NOVEL UPDATE My novel, which was tentatively titled "The Party Crasher" (that is almost certain to change) is almost through the first phase of editing. It's taken a lot of work to get to this point, but I'm proud as hell of the book, and can't wait for it to become available to the public. I'm still aiming at a 2008 release and will, of course, keep you all updated. I've started a personal MySpace where I may be posting samples of my writing in the near future. Feel free to add me to your friends list by following this link.
NEW MERCH There are some new shirts in our online store, and the fine folks at Metal Mafia have just restocked us with the very popular skully-guy necklaces! If you order in a hurry, your items will still get to you by Xmas in the U.S.
WEDDING BELLS! Both Tony Lechmanski and Tony Pugh are getting hitched! And not to each other, though I think they'd make a great couple. So next time you're at a show be sure to give the guys a big congrats and a slap on the back. We're all happy for them and look forward to the big day(s)!
As you can see, we've been a busy bunch of guys. When I have a spare moment between writing songs and working on my book I've been reading an excellent novel called "The Bleeding Season" by Greg F. Gifune. I can't recommend it enough! Also, I've found that I not only like South Park, but am addicted to it. And I'm just fine with that.
I'll try to post here again beforehand, but if I don't find the time I hope you all have a great holiday! If you're in the VA area come on out to our last show of the year on December 29th at the Outback Lodge here in Charlottesville! It's going to be one hell of an early New Year's party, and we've even gotten Synthetic Division and Phoenix Noir performing!
We love you guys! Have a killer winter (the perfect season for listening to Bella Morte, right?)! ~Andy
Vampire Freaks Video Interview with Andy / Home From Tour
Thanks so much to all of the crazy fans who came out to see us on our tour last month! It was great seeing all of you! Thanks for singing along with me… I felt like some of you knew my lyrics better than I do. We're going to try and get back out as soon as possible, so keep working on memorizing all the words.
We're home and it is time to write an album. And it's got to be our best work. And I truly believe it will. The riffs we've been throwing around at practice have me pretty excited, and all I want to do is lock the band in a room until this album is complete. Short of that, we will be working every single day, alone or as a group, on getting a new batch of songs together.
My book is getting closer and closer to publication. I spent quite a lot of time on the road firing chapters back and forth with my editor, and we're now about half way through the first edit. There's still a whole lot left to do, but I'm excited about how well things are going thus far. Hopefully the book will be on shelves sometime next year. And hopefully, everyone in the world will buy two copies.
Check out this interview I did with VAMPIRE FREAKS MAGAZINE in Denver last month! Hell yeah! VFMagazine Presents Bella Morte
Take care everyone… Keep rockin'.

The weather in Portland is crap.Lots of rain with a heap of cold to go with it.Fortunately, we're staying with a good friend up here who has a nice, warm house, not to mention a Nintendo Wii and a barbecue grill.Weather aside, I love Portland. Love it a whole lot.I think it's one of the few places I could live outside of Virginia. And it's not just the town, but all the good friends we've made up here.Every time I pull in to Portland it feels like I'm arriving at a family reunion.
We played three shows here in two days. The first was an acoustic show at Corrosion Records. It wasn't the whole band, but just Tony L. and I since the space was so small. It was a good time, and a few underage fans who couldn't get in to our 21+ show last night were able to catch a performance. Also, on Saturday night we played a short set at FrightTown, Portlands biggest haunted house attraction. It was really fun, even though we got cut off for being too damned loud after only four or five songs.I guess we rocked a little too hard for those folks. After the set we had time to wander through the haunted mazes…excellent!
Now we're off to Seattle, and after the show we have a crazy-long, seventeen hour drive to LA, where we have a ton of friends coming out to see us along with a horde of fans.LA always rocks. Big time.
Well, now that we're finally leaving the sun had decided to show its face.Go figure. It's like we brought the gloom with us to Portland or something…We've got to get on the road now, but I'll check in again soon!Keep rockin' everyone!HELL YEAH!
ROCKINER!
~Andy

Hey everyone!I'm at a coffee shop in Denver catching up on email, MySpace, and everything else I haven't had time to see to since leaving for tour.Just wanted to stop in and thank everyone who came out to the first three shows! We've been having a blast, and we're looking damned forward to hitting the west coast! It's been too long… but don't worry, we're gonna rock hard enough for you to forgive our long absence! After all, we are the undisputed, most ROCKINER band in the galaxy!
Chicago was great. GothicFest was a big production that drew fans from all over the world. Big light show, big sound system, and a big crowd. On the other hand, our show in Cedar Rapids, Iowa was much more stripped down affair. But the crowd there was killer, and the show was tremendous! Sometimes you small towners just kick a ton of ass!!
We would LOVE to see any pix you take at our shows! Please feel free to post the pix in our comments section, so everyone can check them out... Do that and we'll love you forever!
Anyway, I don't have a ton of time here, so I'd better go get ready for the show tonight. Thanks again to all you amazing fans! Keep on rockin' out!
