My album release celebration is going to be Wednesday, September 10th at the Sidewalk Cafe. Yes, I know my album's been available for a few months, but I haven't had a chance to celebrate that yet on stage. And celebrate I shall! I will celebrate thusly:

1. I'll be playing with a band--Richard Lee on drums and Ben Senhart on bass.
2. I'll be playing on a spectacular lineup:

Lost Albums Found

As you may know, the vast majority of the copies of my new album were lost in shipping. Well, they've been found. There's a lot of good will to go around--to  the guy to whom they were misdelivered, and who tracked me down to let me know who had them, to Disc Makers, who, though this was in no way their fault or problem, gave me support, comfort, and also money, and finally, to UPS, for eventually putting right what they screwed up.

This means I have waaaay more copies than I need. So tell all your friends about my album. Start a whisper campaign. Heck, why stop there? Start a shouting campaign.

In other good news, I single-handedly fixed the heat sink on my laptop. Fun!

My Album: Now on iTunes and Amazon

In case you want to buy my songs à la Carte, you may now do so on either or both iTunes and Amazon. Allow me to make three observations:

1. You can download the whole album from Amazon for $8.99, as opposed to $9.99 on iTunes.

2. The bitrate on Amazon is higher.

3. Amazon downloads are DRM-free mp3s, not protected m4ps.

Okay, you can go back to what you were doing.

My Album: Out Now

My album is now officially released. What does that mean? It means you can buy it online here. In a few months it will be available on iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, and other places.

I personally recommend this album, so if you buy it and don't like it, you can blame me. But I think you'll like it.

At this point I want to acknowledge and thank and Richard McGraw, whose idea it was to make the album in the first place, who produced it with skill and care, and who kept me working on it whenever I got discouraged, which was often. I'm lucky to know him. He also happens to be a great musician; check out his myspace space and you'll see.

Album’s Done! It comes out 6/3/08! That’s next Tuesday!

Yup, that's right. My debut album, "You Are The Beneficiary Of Us," is done. I've picked the arbitrary release date of next Tuesday. At that point, it will be available for purchase online, and at some soon-to-be-determined point later this summer I will have a release show/party, which won't actually mark the release itself, but rather celebrate it. Details will be announced soon.

Meanwhile, you can hear 6 of the 13 songs from the album right here on my myspace space. That's a little over 46%, dontcha know.

In case the picture didn't make it clear, know this: I am now a very proud papa. Max was born early Sunday morning and came home Tuesday afternoon. Everyone involved is happy and healthy.

That's right, my debut album "You Are The Beneficiary Of Us" has been mixed. All that needs to happen now is mastering and manufacturing, which theoretically could take weeks, although it may take months. But not many months! Keep your ears open for an album release party/gig.

Also, in case you didn't know, I will become a father soon. Which is even more exciting than the album.

An Album-like Entity

Through months of toil and procrastination I have compiled an hour's worth of original music, which can be burned onto a Compact Disc (A "C.-D." to those in the know). I have also made cover art and a track listing, both of which may be printed on paper. When properly assembled, the result greatly resembles an album. If you'd like a copy, let me know and I'll send you one.

The album is called "Seventeen Songs for Cory," and if you know me then you probably know why. The artwork was created by the selfsame Cory, and it looks like this:



Snazzy, eh? The music's not half bad either, if you like that sort of thing.
