The Next Challenge
Current mood: excited
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities
I'm getting lots of mail here and at my calendar page at www.myspace.com/realitytvstuff asking if I'm going to "Panama for the MTV challenge."
I'm still in LA, so if there is a challenge ongoing somewhere, I'm definitely not part of it. I'm still in recovery mode from my wedding shower and the wedding is less than two months away. I've always viewed the challenges as somewhat of a vacation, but while I could use one right now, wedding plans don't make themselves so I really couldn't afford the time away.
AND -- we are shooting the 2009 Sexiest Women of Reality TV calendar in just a couple of weeks and are in the final days of casting.
Tell me who YOU want to see in the calendar. Any woman who has been on a reality show is eligible, but this year's shoot is going to be really edgy with some fun, tiny bikinis, so please keep that in mind when you send me names.
This is our current June 2008 calendar page. It is the first time we've put two people from the same show in one picture.

Save The Internet!
Current mood: blessed
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities
Hi guys, A good friend of mine, Jeff Schubert, interviewed the President of the Writer's Guild last night about Net Neutrality... For those who haven't heard of it, people in favor of net neutrality want to prevent big companies from picking and choosing what sites we can access. In some cases they can slow down the connection and in others block it completely. With net neutrality the playing field will remain level. Anyway check out the interview, it's really informative and can explain it better then I can.
Also, if you're into filmmaking check out some of Jeff's other interviews. That's what he does with his show most of the time. He's just getting real hopped up on this neutrality thing so he wanted to do a show about it and I want to help him out by passing it on. Filmnut - WGAw President Patric Verrone

I’m Engaged!
Current mood: excited
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities
Matt Ciriello and I are engaged and planning a late summer wedding here in LA.
Matt took me away on Valentine’s Day -- which is also my birthday -- and asked me to marry him. How could I say no? The perfect setting with the perfect guy.

Did I win or lose? It depends upon your perspective.

Did I win or lose? It depends upon your perspective.
Yes, I lost to Coral in Ball Brawl. If I had to lose to someone, I'm glad it was to Coral because she is a veteran's veteran. The truth is that I lost on purpose because I wanted to leave. I knew the veterans were being greedy and didn't want to play like a team. They were not motivated by winning the game through any concept of sportsmanship or fair play; they were simply motivated by greed and the power of money. I didn't want to be a part of that kind of challenge. When I left, I really wanted the rookies to win. The money wasn't important enough to put up the nonsense and these guys will do ANYTHING for a few dollars. I knew my team wanted Coral gone, so I thought the best thing I could do was leave her to hang with them, to give them Hell. I wouldn't be paid anything more to stay longer, and I knew when it was all said and done, the veterans would lose. These are things I said in my interviews with production at the time, which, of course, were not shown during any of the episodes.
How did things get to this point? Well, you only saw the very slightest hints of it during the episodes. The "drunken" CT wasn't just something that happened early in the season, it was a constant, recurring theme. He appeared intoxicated almost the entire time, and I wasn't interested in being around someone who is a loaded gun and who could possibly assault someone – again – at any time, without provocation. NOT COOL.
When it became clear, following the loss of a couple of key players for the rookies, that the veterans would dominate the entire challenge, those key veterans began their scheming. I overheard one of their conversations. Their clear focus was not on winning as a team. Their interest was in maximizing their personal greed. How much more money would they take home for each person they eliminated people from the team. In their view, they would have to manage these "executions" themselves, since the rookies appeared incapable of doing it for them. Their greed was toxic and I wanted no part of it.
I shared this info selectively with some of the women. Evelyn didn't believe it, or perhaps more appropriately, didn't want to believe that the guys, particularly Kenny who she had saved on a previous challenge, would lie to her about something so significant in the game. Robin and Katie were aware, and in one episode, the editors used a clip where it was discussed. Evan and Kenny tried so hard to be cool and funny, but I wonder if without their "MTV" fame, they could get a chick to save their lives. I've been asked if Evan made fun of me to deflect the fact that he is losing his hair and doesn't want anyone to notice. Perhaps he does. Evan, everyone notices you look already look forty and that is scary. You are not fooling anyone by wearing all of your hair forward. What will you look like when you are my age? Seen any recent pics of Jeff Conaway? Pathetic. I hear Hair Club for Men is calling. You even threw your friend Coral under the bus to look cool on camera. Some friend you are. That is behavior only a horrible person would resort to.
While I've not talked to the rookies about it, I think some of them were aware that if they picked Coral, then the Vets would likely send me against her. Why? Some rookies were aligned with the vets (Frank/Jillian with CT, and Derek with Paula – stuff gets around). I think Brad and Tori were an exception. Tori has lots of integrity, perhaps too much for a challenge. Those rookies knew they would benefit from having the veteran's two strongest/most experienced women go against each other, not matter what the outcome; but, I suspect the other rookies thought the vets would send in a weaker player against Coral.
It is logical that, in the end, the other veteran women were happy that they didn't have to go against me. My performance on the Gauntlet 2 and The Duel was something people were well aware of. If you were someone generally considered a weaker player and you had the opportunity to send home one of the three strongest women (including Evelyn in this), wouldn't you agree? With one of us leaving for certain, then it only decreased your own odds of later going against someone who almost certainly would defeat you.
The veteran's dynamic is actually a little more complex that this, though. Because, if the goal was really to get rid of five or six girls, then why did the guys care so much which girl went first?? Coral gave them three names...Robin, Katie and Diem. Evelyn volunteered...and they STILL vote for me. For the guys, it wasn't just "game," it was personal. It was very personal, but you didn't see me objecting to the vote. I welcomed it. The guys needed me gone because they knew I would not let rest their throwing of the women's gauntlet mission. I would have done everything I could to return the favor. If the guy's strategy really were honest, then Eric would have gone home by now. Johnny, even with his bad ankle, was a far better competitor than Eric, and the kind of player who would be a plus to the team in any final mission.
Our gauntlet did last longer than was shown; they almost always do. After I tackled Coral, I would help her get up and wipe the sand from her face so she could see. Just because I didn't want to stay, didn't mean that either of us were going to make less of an effort. I came away with lots of bruises and I know Coral did as well. I've been asked for my reaction to some of Coral's comments during our gauntlet episode. Did I expect Coral's "grandma" comment? No. It was silly, but also offensive at the same time. Do I outweigh her by 50 lbs? Hardly. Our weight difference comes from the fact that I'm taller and the girl has no butt, seriously, no butt! I weight 140 lbs. and there is no way she weighs in at only 90 lbs! Come on! Still, I understand the pressure of arguing with the rest of the team for a different competitor; hyperbole is also good TV sometimes. From a team perspective, however, with the final mission in sight, Coral knew any other player with the exception of Evelyn made a far better team choice. She knew that we both were being thrown under the bus.
If I had heard her call me stupid names before the gauntlet, I would have beaten her. I know Coral didn't mean anything personal and she is trying to live up to her character. Still, I would probably have thrown some missions, but I would have never stayed to the end. Winning against Coral would have changed my game play. I would probably have though of myself as a rookie. That would have been a little like losing. In retrospect, losing to Coral and getting away from the challenge was a little more like winning.
At the end of the day, I really don't care what anyone thinks. I don't need to prove myself to anyone. I know, and Coral knows, the real truth of our gauntlet, and it's all on tape. Frankly, I would rather look ahead than to the past. I've not done my last challenge. This one experience doesn't define the challenges for me. I'm torn between two views as I look to the next one. The Duel, where the goal is to be the last person standing, is a great format. So is Battle of the Sexes. If the veteran women have anything to prove; there is no better place to do it.

Giving the floor to another voice
Current mood: amused
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities
Recently, one of the Gauntlet 3 castmembers chose to throw a few stones in my direction over at IamonMTV.com. Many of you have written asking if or when I would respond. I didn't intend to. I haven't mentioned her at all in any of my blogs. But...I did find it interesting that the nameless castmember who called me out did so to defend her "boys" (they certainly don't qualify as men)...boys who in the last episode were BRUTAL to the girls on our team...one even threatened to strap a brick to their boobs and drown them...nice timing to come running to their defense huh?
One of my long-time myspace friends, however, let me know that she had responded to Diem and offered me permission to post her reply here. "A," who personally knows more cast members and more challenge details than anyone I know, has some interesting things to say, so after giving it some thought, I've decided to post her reply here. They are her words, not mine; they stand on their own. TO REPEAT, I DO NOT ENDORSE THE FOLLOWING--I DIDN'T WRITE IT, BUT IT IS INTERESTING READING.
Someone has let Beth get under their skin?
Everything Beth said about you was true. On Fresh Meat and the Duel you cried and threw a hissy fit when you got voted into elimination. And both times it was the first time you were sent to the elimination and it was the last week! Boo freaking hoo honey.
You even expected Aneesa to save you over her BFF Svetlana. How arrogant must you be? Or is it entitlement? Did you feel entitled to make the end?
And why the hookups so quickly from Derek to CT? Fresh Meat and the Duel were filmed less than 6 months apart. Quite a short time to find 2 loves of your life in an environment that doesnt exactly lead to healthy relationships. Were those boys used to make it to the end? Hmmmmm.
You also basically admitted in your blog you were afraid of Beth and avoided her. Should you be bragging about being a p----? And Beth does confront people she has a problem with and not take shots at them personally behind their backs like Danny/Kenny/Evan did to her. She confronted Tina when Tina tried to start something with her. She confronted Jodi and the Drama Mafia to their FACES! She told you at the Duel reunion how she thought of you. As for Nehemiah? Please. The guy wouldn't have even been asked to the Gauntlet 3 if it were not for the attention he got from Beth on the Duel. He discarded Beth at G3 because she was of no use to him as she was on opposite teams. His ego was bruised due to Beth's jokes about him on The Duel. His manhood was damaged so he set out to distance himself from her. He also realized he was on the wrong side of the cliques that dominate these shows.
As for karma, it will be coming your way too sistah. How did keeping Eric over Johnny work out for the Vets at the end? Bahahahaha. I would hate for your strong team to dominate the whole thing and than lose at the end due to 1 out of shape team member. Karma indeed!
Oh yeah...and your boy CT is showing a lot of maturity this show, hun. He's very mature indeed for a crack addict. I also believe, from my recollection of watching the Duel reunion, that you actually called out Beth first by calling her a phony. She in return responded back to you. So if you are seriously wondering where her distaste from you comes from that maybe a good place to start. The first 3 episodes have shown no expamples of your claims that Beth was desperate for camera time. She did not respond at all but to laugh at Nehmeiah's tantrum. She has not been in any fights or causing drama. Her only crime seems to be standing next to CT in one of his drunken states. Now now. CT is always in a drugged out state so you cant blame her for that. I also saw Katie and many others watching the fight from the stairs so try a little harder next time honey. Your points don't hold up under scrutiny.
Signed
"A" for annonymous
PS. For those of you awaiting a blog following last week's episode, there won't be one. Frankly, the episode just left me blah...

Gauntlet3, Episode 3,
Current mood: inquisitive
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities
We all know that a tweak here and there is necessary to make any challenge into good TV. No problem; we get it. When we go too far, though, we open ourselves to criticism as some fans have noted around the Internet since last night's episode. We would be smart to heed their wisdom because we want them to keep watching week after week...
But first, a brief time out for this commercial message brought to you by "How to get camera time 101."
- Do you need camera time to extend your reality 15 minutes? It's easy; follow Rule 1… make some negative comment about Beth. No need to worry if anywhere else it would be ageist, sexist or racist… on a challenge it's all fair game.
- Don't worry about the price. Just charge it. Your integrity bank account is kind of low anyway.
And now back to our blog:
Let's start with tonight's second mission:
I'm confused; does this seem fair? We have 15 players (not counting Coral) and the rookies have 11 (not counting Johanna). During the earlier "Screw Me" mission, Derek, as an example, had to go twice. TJ stated that it was required to even out the teams – to ensure the teams competed fairly and ensuring equality in numbers between the teams. Yet, while that made sense before, and gave the rookies hope, that ball is thrown out the window for tonight's second team mission.
TJ said the rookies had an advantage. Duh… Really? Thanks for that observation TJ. That was obvious to the rookies, veterans, crew... and Pedro walking down the beach with his beer . Let's do the math. Just assuming that the average time per person is 2 minutes, then the veterans must make up 8 minutes just catch up with the rookies' numerical advantage. Does this seem possible to anyone? Eight minutes? No, of course it doesn't. We all knew it –cast and crew alike -- and it appears to have been to many viewers did also, given their overnight comments. Nobody quit or loafed through it, even though winning simply was not a realistic possibility. We needed eight people to halve an average time of two minutes just to catch the rookies. Still, the veterans to win, the rookies would have had to invent a way to screw up to lose their time advantage.
Get out your calculators (or ask 4.0 GPA Evelyn) and do the math for the probability analysis that the rookies would lose. Even with unrealistic assumptions, the probability is nearly zero. I think the rookies would really have preferred to go against us one-on-one with a few rookies going twice or even by picking four veterans to sit out to force equal sized teams.
Don't get me wrong. No sour grapes from my corner. I'm not entirely unhappy that the veterans lost. At this point, sending any veteran guy leaving is OK by me; but, pardon me if I would like it all to seem a little more honest. I know what the guy's plan is for us; we all know.
Was there some overall worry that there wouldn't be much of a show if the veterans won every mission? What would happen at the final mission, would they just give the veterans their check and then show highlights for an hour? It's a tough call. The show needs to be entertaining, but also it needs to be consistent. I don't think we were.
The "slider" puzzle –
Sorry, but whose idea was this and where is he/she working now? If anyone can make a credible argument as to how this gauntlet could possibly be good TV, I'll send you one of our reality calendars free – (without me in it, if you prefer). Just maybe the puzzle stuff works on Survivor, but they surround it with some other physical element of competition to give it some sense of action. It's been done before, too, with success. The puzzle idea was incorporated in Fresh Meat and again during The Duel. I wish we had done a little better for G3.
This wasn't just a good idea gone bad. It looks like a bad idea from the beginning, and impossible to execute in any way that doesn't make fans wonder what has gone wrong.
Was this really a team dynamic gauntlet where the focus was to be on close-ups of the veterans fighting to help their favorite guy finish his puzzle? I just don't get it.
Now for a couple of other things from tonight.
As for Johnny going home on, some might say it was Karma for the "Tyler" comments the week before… But in Evelyn's blog last night, she wrote that we were wrong to put Johnny in. I agree completely—our bad; but, when Johnny and CT are arguing not to win but to see who can shout the loudest and for the longest time, it's not like anyone with another idea wants to speak up. The fact is that Evan did say he wanted to face Johnny. He was two-faced in his comments last night and it raises a question about his honestly in other challenge things. Just man up Evan; you got exactly who you wanted. May it bite you in the ass later!
Coral, roomie, I love ya, but helping Evan with the puzzle? WHY? You know Evan's been playing you! The "stale meat" boys will do you no good. We could have sent one of them home tonight. We dropped the ball.
At the beginning of the show tonight you see, Katie, Robin, Coral and me talking. I think we all were seeing our going into the gauntlet the same way. We each wanted our destiny to be in our own hands. Making the selection any other way goes hand in hand with team members deciding to throw missions—you see that coming from Evan in the preview for next week. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in future weeks.
Remember the earlier commercial? Well, it's always interesting to see the cast interviews that are done after an event is over. Production gets us to talk about people – that is there job -- and they match that up with video from the events. Danny talks trash about everyone and tonight it's my turn: "Beth is going to go blind in 20 years, so she might as well get used to it." Wow, that takes wit...for a 5th grader!
Danny, I like you-- and like you and Melinda together even more, but if you are going to trash talk, please at least be funny! Successful humor contains an essential element of truth. This one falls flat on its face. Does anyone ever see one in 10,000 people that age being blind?
A few years ago, it was "Evil Beth," then it became "Fat Beth" (I weight the same now as I did then, and my dress size is a 6), and now Danny thinks I'm apparently ready for a rocking chair and social security. Evan and Kenny do a little show and compare me to a dog. As if some of these guys should be trashing anyone's looks? Aren't we going to run out of stereotypes soon? What I see emerging is the same thing Nehemiah did last week – using me as the cause-celeb for their camera time. Just once, I'd love for the shots that some guys take to have a little credibility. I find myself laughing at how shallow they are. If I have to keep repairing all their 15-minute clocks, I want union membership. The pay is better!
At least when I trash talk, I can say it to everyone's face... Such cowards some of these people seem to be. At the same time I find it necessary to CACKLE because I've been called every name in the book. Make fun of me because I'm "old," Danny; the truth is that if this were a duel format, I might be picking to go home someone you know over a decade younger than me. Shall we laugh about that?
Nothing these guys say is going to affect me. I've been around the block, and if I'm not bothered when I'm called fat or old, then I can handle everything else...
My Bottom Lines this week:
- Last week Gauntlet 3 was the 3 rated cable show. Great. I just hope we don't see the puzzle again!
- If the game is going to be tinkered with, then can we at least find a way to keep Johnny Bananas around so viewers can watch Casey run around naked? We can always use more male fans watching the show.
- If you are going to trash talk, please make sense and be funny! Take lessons from Coral!

Gauntlet 3: The Tenderoni Disappoints
Current mood: disappointed
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities
I have to say I'm very disappointed in the Tenderoni...
Since the Duel aired, we had spoken often and laughed about the show. If he had a problem then, why did he never say anything to me? Secondly, anyone who saw the Duel knows we were both joking...
Wednesday's episode shows footage of him jumping on me and tickling me during The Duel. If he is not happy today with what happened then, he has no right to blame it on me. He needs to take responsibility for his actions. Just own it, Nehemiah. "A Moth to a flame" - Did anyone think I was serious? It was obvious that I was being sarcastic and was even laughing when I said it during the interview!!!!!! It was so obvious on The Duel tape. It wasn't just Adam, Evan, Kenny and Rachel that were laughing, so was I. When he started yelling at me in front of the camera, I couldn't stop laughing because he appeared so insecure to need to stage something like that. Honestly, if he had told me in advance, we could have made it a much more interesting and dramatic fight! Thirdly- I never said we hooked up! During the Duel, he crashed in my bed a couple of time -- and nothing happened. I thought we were friends using a good game strategy in mocking the hookups on The Duel. During The Duel reunion show, CT suggested that Nehemiah and I had hooked up. I denied it to Susie, the host, and others confirmed my denial. Why didn't Tenderoni ever say anything to CT? Is it because he is afraid of CT? I don't know. Instead, he attacks me so he apparently can feel like a man and look cool as he strives to be in the popular clique? Should I feel sorry for him? Is he really so insecure? I wish he had recognized that he didn't need validation from losers to feel accepted.
He also told me his girlfriend was angry. My boyfriend laughed about it, because he knows me outside of television and is confident that I would never cheat on him. I'm sorry Tenderoni's girlfriend seems so insecure that this was driving her crazy...SO SAD… and unnecessary. All Tenderoni had to do was pull me aside at on the first day, or tell me during one of the MANY times we talked before Gauntlet 3, "Beth, we can't do the Tenderoni thing anymore because it drove my girlfriend crazy last time." "When I go on speaking engagements, no one asks questions about me. They only ask about you, and it pisses me off." I would have said fine, no problem. He has a right to his own character on the show. "Austin" and who he has become since the show should define him for people, not a couple of minutes of video from The Duel. To insinuate I was truly interested in him really is a joke. I didn't follow him around like a puppy dog during the first days of Gauntlet 3. I don't have the "hots" for him. I thought we were friends and I enjoyed his company.
Obviously, until I saw the episode on Wednesday evening I didn't know what he said to production in his private interviews. What's with the sexist comments, or were they something more? "I wouldn't let her wash my windows or do my laundry." Is this the way he actually defines his relationships with women? Scary! Now I understand the text messages of apology from him to me after the show finished taping. He really did have something to apologize for. Don't flatter yourself, tenderoni. I've had a boyfriend for two and half years. We are in love and I would never ever cheat on him and he knows this... So do you. Sadly, I would never, on purpose, have done anything to hurt Tenderoni because I liked him and respected him... He has some growing up to do. I could say that he should try dating a more secure woman, but I don't know his girl friend and that might not be a fair assessment.
Now on to some thoughts about the rest of the episode –
Angel – I wasn't surprised that Angel was picked to go against Jillian. It is always tough for first-timers. Angel or Brooke seemed the likely candidates. What did surprise me was Angel's determination and competitive spirit. After Alex's performance against Nehemiah in the previous episode, it was good to see Angel fight back. The good news for the Veterans is that Jillian looks strong enough to take out a bunch of rookies for us.
Tyler -- Not only does the camera add 15 lbs to people, it seems to take emotions over the top. When you are a larger than life personality like Tyler, it is hard to keep your image in control. He is a much nicer person, both on the challenge and in real life, than the camera showed. His highs are really high and his lows almost tragic. I'm sure that is one reason he was cast for Key West. I'll miss Tyler.
Did the Veterans make the right decisions here? Did the rookies? Honestly, this early in the game, I think it's a crap shoot. You just make some assumptions about people's ability and then make the best decision you think you can at the time. Cast member hindsight – like fan opinions – are always perfect months later when the show airs.
One final thought about the edit on of the second episode, I rarely compliment production, but this time I simply must say "thanks" and "well done!" At the beginning of the second half hour (31 minutes) – People partying by the pool – the editors cut to very short clip of Nehemiah and me walking side-by-side on the patio by the potted palm trees. We are talking and laughing… Was production calling him out for the shallowness of his earlier rant about me? What other possible purpose could they have had for including it? Production, mark this day on your calendar of significant events… Beth says thanks!
Will the veterans have another successful week and send two more rookies home or will the brewing discord among the veterans finally come out into the open? Can Coral and I continue to occupy the same room and not wake up with a knife in either of our backs? We'll find out next Wednesday at 10 pm.

Gauntlet 3
Current mood: determined
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities
Hi Everyone! Sorry, it's been a long time since I've blogged. I've been caught up in my real life. Check out our new calendars at http://www.realitytvstuff.com/ If you purchase one in the next few weeks I will autograph the next 100 ordered.
MTV has a new website for cast and fans all in one place. You can sign up at www.iamonmtv.com. Registration takes just a minute. Add yourself to my friend list and follow my blog there for the show. It will always be a little different that the one here. I'll also be responding to your comments there as well.
IT'S ANOTHER CHALLENGE!!!! I always think I'm done and then I get the phone call to participate again. I love to compete; that is the reason I go. Some of the prizes are nice when you win the missions, but reality hits you in the face when you get back home and have to pay the taxes on what you won.
If only the challenges were a true competition and not based in some measure on anyone's popularity with other cast members. I'm not really a party girl. I don't smoke, and one or two drinks on a very special occasion are more than enough for me -- and I weigh more than 100 pounds... Oh well, in my REAL LIFE, everyone seems to be fine with who I am and I'm not about to change for a few weeks once a year. I always go hoping that everyone sees the challenges the same way I do. Unrealistic? Of course! That doesn't change my approach; however, but knowing that other people will have already developed alliances before he challenge, all I can do is to use what has been done in advance by others in my own game play. I don't trust anyone and no one should trust me.
I've been reading that both the cast and viewers are saying that this is going to be a great challenge. What I think is that this season has the potential to be really good TV. Some people want good to see good missions. Others want drama in the form of hookups, fights, and outrageous behavior. Both groups will be well satisfied! The fact that there are going to be some hour-long episodes says there must be a lot of really good drama on tape. Compared to what I saw – and maybe was also a part of – the first episode was largely drama free. Things will get even more crazy and intense. People will fight for their place in the game -- far more so than the first gauntlet between Alex and Nehemiah. Some "old school" passion will come out and that will also be good TV, too.
Just a few words about the first episode: We were all on two different airplanes from LAX to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. There are some old familiar faces and a few first-time rookies. At this point we still don't know the team format, but to those who have been on several challenges, a veteran vs. rookies seems obvious. I think I know everyone who is on the other airplane, so I can't help but think "here we go again, my favorite team is the rookies and I'm in the wrong place!" As usual, it's not difficult to ask yourself – and others – which rookie first timers are going home first. It turned out that we were pretty much on target with what happens, but I'll have to wait until after that episode airs to say more about it.
Bunim/Murray Productions – the challenge producer – books our flights and our seats… What were they thinking when they put Coral and me next to each other? There are 144 seats in coach and we are side-by-side for several hours. It's hard not to look around wondering where the camera crew is to capture this. If you are among those who think "karma" or "everything happens for a reason," then have fun with that little pre-challenge fact. LOL
We get to the first mission location and when I see the mud pit I'm immediately reminded of the one during "The Duel." Some of the same people who were there that day are also here. Am I looking around for Tina? No. Still, I'm having a déjà vu moment.
Slogging through the water and mud to get the balls takes more endurance than you think. If you noticed, I really wasn't muddy above the waste when it was just Robin and I left against Melinda. I had the ball and had to make a quick choice. Do I pass it to Robin while there was enough distance between Melinda and me to do so, or do I opt to power through Melinda and take the small risk (in my opinion at the time) that she could take it away from me. I do the obvious thing and pass the ball to Robin and sacrifice myself. Hey, who says Beth can't be a team player – especially when it fits my strategy?
Why do I give the producers what they want? They were after me to say something about Nehemiah. My little comment about the sleeping arrangements in the house that we had not yet seen was done to get production off my back. We didn't hook up on The Duel and we won't here. It was game play. Production knows it, but they always have a plan and I should have said something else.
CT – You saw what he said to Coral about her being the strongest player. You saw me standing close by in those conversations. What you didn't see is that CT had already said the same things to me! I guess he was so mentally impaired (from whatever source) that he didn't recognize that I was still there, or that he had said the same things to me. No matter, it's great info I can use to my advantage – and I will. Watching CT and Coral was like being right on the set of a soap opera. She is a genius at much of what she does, playing perfectly off of whatever CT was giving her.
Diem was there, as you saw, but it seemed like she was trying to avoid the camera. CT treated her like garbage and maybe, because of his "condition," she just takes it. It's sad. I've said some tough things about Diem before; but, this time I can only fault CT. If I were in a relationship with anyone who treated me the way CT treated Diem, I'd be out of that relationship in seconds.
A last thought on the rookies "bedrooms." Production should be happy that the veterans won the first mission and the better bedrooms. If the rookies had won, there probably would have been a rebellion.
I hope you enjoy this challenge and appreciate my sarcastic comments...because that is all they are... This is how I entertain myself when I'm away from my loved ones...
**** Other than the show, my life is great! I'm doing construction on my condo and am busy with my Sexiest Men and Women of Reality TV brand and other projects. Let me know what you guys think of the show... I will try to answer your questions, but some things can't be talked about until the episode surrounding the events has been aired. It's a contract thing, and many people just don't' want to read spoilers, too If you ask me something that contains a spoiler, your question will not be posted. It not fair to others.
The Bottom Line: I really do try to stay out of trouble, I swear...
I hope to see you all at www.iamonmtv.com. Don't be shy!
XOXO
Beth
