So episode 7 is up
Category: Podcast
7th week in and we're still doing really well, admitedly the episode was a little late for the first time but I think that we both regret putting off finishing it and will be more diligent in the future. Next week Julia is comming on the show to sub out for Adam which should be interesting. It's the first time that one of us hasn't been on an episode. I wonder if it will work.
We added a show calender to our page and its REALLY cool. It has the be the most comprehensive page in Atlanta. I can't wait for people to start using it.
anyway keep listening http://www.haveyouheard.net

blast from the past
Current mood: inspired
Category: Podcast
you know there really isn't any difference at all between people that you know and people that you know of other than that you haven't met them. Case in point. I really like the band Daedelus and If you would have asked me a week ago if I knew anyone in the band I would have said no. I would have been wrong. Years ago when I lived in pensacola I went to a meeting of some dudes and ladies that were trying to start an independent radio station. It didn't work out but the dude remembered me as being there.
Hes not only in Daedelus but also the Lilys and Holopaw.
It's funny to me that even though I consider myself an optimist I really don't even think of myself as a big of a part of the music world as I am. Not that I'm that great or anything but that I'm not an outsider. It's a community that I am a part of.
Funny to think but it's true.
I wrote a short piece about him and posted some songs from his new project Ape School.

BIG news
Category: Podcast
One of the biggest podcasts in the world has linked us on their main page.
This may not sound like much but it is a pretty damn big deal.
Also we're getting A LOT of results from the blog.
Holy shit it's really working.

The Blog
The blog on the website has really started to generate some traffic. It's neat what a little music generosity can do :)
Still suprises me how many of my friends are indifferent to the site. Kinda hurts my feelings but what are you going to do.
anyway the goal is to start adding more photography to the music blog. I think thats a reasonable goal.

every day I’m hustelin
Category: Podcast
so episode 4 of the podcast is up and I'm pretty happy with it. The format seems to be good but every week we change something so nothing has had a chance to really sink in and get comfortable. Hoping when the holiday season is done and everyone settles in for a long December the site visitors will rise back up.
Check out the new episode here Have You Heard

Episode 3
Category: Podcast
We tried really hard to make episode 3 the best episode yet. In some ways it was, we have sound quality that is many many times better than the other episodes and there was supposed to be an interview as well.
unfortunately we learned a valuable lesson in that you must be careful how you save your files.
We lost the interview.
This was difficult for a number of reasons not limited to but including the fact that we had been talking about the interview its self throughout the whole episode. This made everything challenging as I had to re-edit the entire episode at 5 in the morning. I think it still holds up pretty well but feels a little empty in liu of what it could have been.
Also I got some facts wrong on one of the bands that we reviewed which is embarrassing.
For better or worse the episode is a step forward.
we have to maintian this momentum.
