Bordello Gig Report
Current mood: happy
Category: Music

The night was kicked off with Marc Cogman playing a terrific set with friends of ours in the band, Steve and Giulio. Then our friends in Vermouth (Justine, Steve, Giulio, Dawn & Matthew) followed with their kooky harmonics and excellent new arrangements of songs... we particularly liked their finale "Over the Counter". That was lots of fun. Then it was time for B IS FOR BARONESS, and we had Molly, Elena, Leticia, Sherri, Mike and Jennifer performing, wow, 6 people on that small stage, but it all worked out well. Mike and Sherri rocked the rhythm section, Molly and Elena rocked the harmonies, and Jennifer threw in a couple of cool little solos. Also, Leticia's vocals blew us all away! Yay! The folks over at Bordello couldn't be cooler, and they agreed to put up posters for the Eagle Rock Music Festival coming up next Saturday, Oct. 6, where we will be playing at 5pm at the Women's 20th century club. I hope y'all can come out and hear the set... others on our stage will be Mia Doi Todd, Hecuba, We You, and Leslie and the Badgers! See you there, and thanks for coming to the Bordello last night, we were very glad to see you!

Seeking Musicians
Current mood: contemplative

We are currently gigging in the Los Angeles area, practicing on the East side, and we are looking for a drummer with a light touch (can play with brushes) who is handy either singing or on keys or hand percussion. Email eaglerocker@mac.com if interested. ..

B is for Baroness Bastille Day Show
Current mood: accomplished
Category: Music

We had a great time opening for Jessica Fichot tonight for Bastille Day! We played four songs: Temporary Lover, In Love Again, The Tumbleweed, and Baroness... in that order.
Performers were Steve Postell on Bass, Sharon G on backup vocals, Sherri Baby on Kit, and Molly on rhythm guitar and lead vocals. We had a good size crowd, thanks to all you great friends and family out there, and got some great feed back. It was a learning gig... and I think we're always learning, but it was so much fun to play after practicing for about a year all these songs. I can't wait until the next gig, hopefully at Fais do do some time in September.
