The End of an Era

Nov 17 closes a big chapter in the lives of all the members of Blaq Lily.

It has been a great run (would have been 8 years in January) but as many of you already know, we are calling it quits on November 17 at the Tonic Ball in Indianapolis,IN.

Thank you all for listening to our music and supporting us on my space and in every other way.

What An Irish Weekend!

Thanks to all my friends & fans for coming to support & hang with me! It was nice to make re-contact with some of my old friends & fans & make new ones.

What a seriously fun weekend of dancing & late nights...or is that early mornings! ha!      -   Gaelic Storm!!!!! So worth seeing & dancing to more than once in a weekend & they were great guys to hang with at the after party jam session! What a great way to have tons of new dance partners you've never met before!

I'm just sorry I listened to the person who told me that the Reddest Hair,  Greenest Eyes & Most Freckles Contest was only for children! I later met the 20 something girl who won....she had BLUE eyes & NO freckles!!! I so would have won the contest....oh-well...there's always next year - well, that is, if my friend Ambre doesn't show up & enter! :)

Indy Irish Fest - this weekend!

The Indianapolis Irish Fest is at Military Park at the corners of N.Y., West & Blackford Streets & the 4th side is the beautiful Canal. We play on Sat. from 3:30 - 4:30. Thrilled to be the only full band in the afternoon! There are 4 stages...we're on the St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers Stage which is closest to Blackford St. & the Canal. (& the bathrooms! :) I definitely will also be there on Sunday @ 2 for the "Reddest Hair, Greenest Eyes & Most Freckles" Contest! Arminta

2 Songs Nominated in Finals of International Song Contest

After 13+ months of work, last night JP Folks was excited to announce the 2006 Just Plain Folks Music Awards nominations.   After receiving 25,500 albums and 350,000 songs from over 100 countries and territories, they whittled it all down to nominees in 81 Album genres/categories and 67 Song genres/categories (as well as 4 Video and 1 Lyric categories).  Nominees come from over 70 different countries and territories around the world!

We have 2 songs nominated in the finals: "An Turas" is in the Celtic Instrumental category - along with Bad Haggis & The Rogues & many other greats! & "On The Moor" is in the Celtic Song category - along with the likes of the Prodigals, Roger Drawdy & the Firestarters, The Saw Doctors!! & other greats. What a great honor to be in the running with bands like these!

New CD and we are taking requests

We are working overtime in pre production of our upcoming traditional music release.  "7 Miles to Scotland"   and we are taking requests for traditional music that you would like to hear us perform.

So post your requests and if we can figure out how to Lilify it you may find your name in the credits on our CD!!

Even if we don't select your request to record, you may find us performing your song live, the next time that you see us and maybe hear a recording and get in the credits on our live CD that we will be doing in the next year!

Pimp my space hi jacked our profile on July 13 at about 10:30 in the evening.

They posted a bulletin and spammed some of our friend list.

I tried to find a way to contact them to let them know what an ill temper that this put me in and found out, big suprise no way to contact them.

I previously had no opinion about these guys but after this rude invasion of my own and my friends privacy I now can give them a resounding recomendation.

Don't use Pimp My Space they are profile hijacking spamming jerks!!

Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused any of our friends.
