B-LeaVe’s 1st Half Of 08 Awards!!!
It has come to that time of the year (July) where I post my awards for Underground Rap/Hip-Hop for the first half of 2008, all awards and titles I give to emcees are my sole opinion and do not reflect the underground as a community, or the people/label I roll with. I give credit to those I believe go out and earn it by grinding, making the most of their music, and working harder than most. So here goes, for the first half (January 1st - July 1st) of 2008, B-LeaVes Underground Awards.
2008's Rising Star Award; This award is based on the emcee who I think is rapidly climbing the ladder to musical success, and this year it wasn't hard for me to decide who was bringing this one home. Maniax, an emcee who works with the Wicked Wisconsin movement has made some serious moves, and truely impressed me with his music, and the way he has gone about making it availiable to everyone, just since Febuary, Maniax has moved up the ladder from doing short sets at Amerikaz Nightmare, to being a serious draw at recent shows, and deffinetly gets the crowd moving. Check out more from Maniax at; Maniax On Myspace
Album Most Worth The Money; This was a hard category, because the first half of 08 yielded many great releases in the underground, but one stood out in both personal anticipation and achievement of its goal. Bloodworks from Finale is the one album to release in the first half of 2008 that I would buy purely based on it being Finale's long awaited LP. To hear more from Finale, or buy Bloodworks go to; Finale On Myspace
Best Free Album; This category was also hard. Many great releases that were worth purchasing came out in free LP form these last 6 months. But one does stand head and shoulders above the rest. Forever Eternal from Ignited brings together emcees from all corners of the genre in an explosive LP that both leaves you wanting more, and makes you bang your head. Featuring DZK, Cyco, T.O.N.E.Z, Menacide & many of the artists from 3se, this album is a 10 out of 10. To cop it, or check out ignited go to; Ignited On Myspace
Best Mixtape; This was probably the easiest category for me to add a winner to. One mixtape came out these past 6 months that absolutely blew my mind. Mr.J Presents G.E.R.M.A.N brought forth a group of the most solid tracks from some of the best emcees in the underground. Featuring releases from Infinite Skillz, Noble, DZK, F.a.T, Red, Finale, Spoonfull & More, this mixtape goes hard as hell, and is front to back perfection. To cop it, or check out Mr.J go to; Mr.J On Myspace
Best New Artist; This was no peaches and cream category to go after. But I went based on who was newest to the game, and making the most buzz. This award goes to Noble. Out of South Carolina, Noble has only been rapping for about a year, and in the last 6 months has broke through and made a name for himself on many different fronts, as well as making his live debut at Underground United in Chicago in June. Check out noble at; Noble's Myspace
Best Producer; I know a brigade of fuckin producers, but one has come thru on many occasions with neck-snapping beats, and in one instance, actually produced a track that gained alot of momentum, before we even knew he produced it. This award goes to Savior. Out of Portland, Oregon, Savior is also an accomplished emcee, but his beats are gaining ground. Check him out; Savior On Myspace
Best Rap Duo; This award, is going to 2 cats, who I love to watch live, and are just cool as fuck, with great music. Insane D and Genocide of Dark Half. Their live sets are amazing, they keep the crowd going, and their music raw and live is phenomenal. Dark Half works with the Wicked Wisconsin movement, and has been a great presence at nearly every show I've done in 08. Their 2 cool motherfuckers, and their music is just straight up Ill. Check them out; Dark Half's Myspace
Best Live Set Of 08; This, I have to give hands down to Sicktanick & Razakel at Underground United. Their set was all of the following; crazy, insane, nuts, live, fantastic, amazing, phenomenal & downright sick. These 2 have amazing chemistry on stage, and shocked the shit out of security so bad they nearly shut down the show. Check out sick and raz at; Sicktanicks Myspace Or Razakels Myspace
Most Underrated; This goes to a rap-duo that I know very well, and believe have every ounce of talent, will, and ability to make it in the rap game. Skrapt Soulz, comprised of Spooky & Silentz, are two of the best artists to see live, and show non-stop love to their fellow underground acts, aside from just being 2 cool motherfuckers. I know them both very well personally, and trust them both with my life, but enough with the sweet talk, check out their shit at; Skrapt Soulz Myspace
As with every awards arena, there is the negative side!
Most Fucked Up; This is an easy win. Abica mops up all the competition with their scamming, lying, bullshittry, and falsefying of fans, and music. Their fans "abica reps" are pages they made, under e-mails they claim to belong to their fictional manager, they pay for myspace plays, and pretend to be booked on shows they were never contacted about. Their music is fake, awful, and they claim their producers are Stir Crazy from Psychopathic, Trent Reznor of NIN & one of Eminems old producers. SINIMA has produced every one of their tracks. These homos are fake, and they owe me and Ignited a shitload of money for being scamming little fucks. If you want to check out Abica; DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.
Lazyest Artist of 08; DZK, you sir, are hands down taking this award so hard that its not funny. DZK has some of the dopest music on the net, but homie has been lazy since the start of 08 when it comes to releasing new music. I know for a fact it exists, as I have heard some of it, but hes slackin! WAKE UP! To check out dzk; Hit Up His Myspace
Those are the only awards I give away in the first half yall.

**NEW MIXTAPE ANNOUNCEMENT**
Category: Music
I'm putting together a mixtape that is going to blow minds, and crush the lines between feuding labels. So far some of the tracks are already being worked on, but I know the full feature list to date, and I can tell you this mixtape is going to be absolutely fucking insane.
It will Feature; Sicktanick, Razakel, Ignited, DZK, F.a.T, Grewsum, Claas, Saint-Sinna, BadLuck, Lokey, Finale, Noble, Infinite Skillz, Maniax, Skrapt Soulz, MC Shadow, and more I'm discussing appearences with.
This will be the first mixtape that I know of to feature; Mission : Infect, SKR, 3se, & Warlab all on one tape, and I plan on it being fuckin fire, not to mention Grewsum repping Prone, Finale reppin for DSE, and Maniax from Wicked Wisconsin.
Hollar, B-LeaVe
PS: If anyone else has interest in getting on this mixtape, hit me up asap, I plan on doing 16-20 songs tops, so let me know.

B-LeaVe Leaves OCE For Unsigned-ed-ness
Category: Music
After the collapse of relations between myself and Matt (aka Diabolical) the owner of Organized Crime Entertainment, and some hefty arguements, I have made the decision to leave the label, permanently. I could play off the "it was a hard decision to make" bullshit, but it would be a downright lie. OCE stopped being beneficial for me, as well as Shadow, and as far as I know he's parted ways too, quite frankly in the current being unsigned is infinitely more productive for me than working under a label that isn't doing shit.
It hasn't been a fun experience working for a label that is run by a complete fucking retard, which also made it easier to part ways. I have no personal beef with Matt whatsoever, I know he has alot of shit going on in his personal life, with recent deaths, and a marraige, so I don't hold it against him on a personal level, and I do still consider him as a friend. (In a very loose sense of the word). Honestly, shit started downhill the instant Donnie (Bloodsik/General Sinthetik) was fired/left/whatever actually happend.
I'm unsigned, and I'm gonna stay that way until I find a label thats actually productive, if anyones curious feel free to hit me up, I've got 5 tracks from the EP done, 12 tracks from the mixtape done, and their both fire. If you want the demo just drop a message with an email.

100,000 Plays - A Thank You
Category: Music
Today, the 100,000 play marker was broken on my myspace player. I have filtered through countless songs since this page was put up, so I wanted to throw out some thanks to people who have been supporting me, and have had my back since the start of this shit, cuz yall are the reason this shit keeps goin, and you deserve to know the appreciation is there.
Hash & Tac From ABiCA - since I've been workin and hanging out with you two fuckin goons, I've gotten a much better grip on the local shit, not to mention hiring your baller of a manager. You guys are the shit, just cool motherfuckers, and good friends to have, even if Lost & Found is ... lets not go there hahhaa.
Ignited - Iggy Iggy Iggy, how the fuck did we not cross paths before? I know we know alot of the same people from BG and Mundelien, but I'm glad we finally did. Your tracks are ill, and your a good homie to have, not to mention that we finally got this underground scene comin together fam, lets do this big in 08.
Silentz & Spooky From Skrapt Soulz - hahaha, spooky and silentz, one is chronically drunk, the other seems quiet, until he raps and you have flashes of bone thugs. Yall some cool motherfuckers, lookin forward to doin more shows with yall, and lets keep this local shit as real as can be yo.
JR - my brother from another mother, state, city, and town. Haahaha, what kinda track haven't we ripped together? We've dissed people into retirement, and done enough shit to cover more than a few mixtapes. You know how it is fam, I got your back til the day that I die, and I know you got mine homie, thats family.
Finale - my son. Joking. If it wasn't for your backup, and ability to hate on candians, I'd still have some beefs sitting in my lap that I wasn't intrested by, but you've always been there to take on beef for me and drive a fool into the ground. You're a sicker than average rapper, and a good friend, you sir, are the shiznit. Btw; bloodworks is gonna be the shit.
Saint Sinna -AYOOOOOOOOOOO! My meth-addicted liver-failing son of a bitch, hahahaha. You're the walking party wagon, and your one of the most trustworthy people I know ... but yo LAZY FOO! hahahaa, keep doin it fam, your music is fuckin fire, and your just naturally fun to be around man haha.
Infinite Skillz - Captian N.O.I.S.E supreme, the MOST pleasent person I have ever come across, even tho I have to listen to Civil War Wednesday when I get into the car. You're a great giver of advice, and inspiring with your lounge tracks .. possibly about older women! hahah, i respect and appreciate what you do for music, and as another man, you're the bomb homie.
Jay Red - thought I told ya, make ya say UGHHH like a no limit soldier! Dude, J for Jenious is the shit, your music is on fuckin fire, we got one of our tracks on a DVD, and launched the R&B (Retarded and Baked) duo of B-DoPe, which is probably going nowhere haha, but your a good homie, and you know I gotchu on any tip fam.
DZK - glad your back in the saddle dude, rap missed your white ass, and the adderal, all the adderal. Past personal differences kept us from working together for a while, and we squashed it, and made some really sick songs, with who else but Finale, who is infact mini-you. The new tracks we're working on are going to be insanely dope, and as always, keep doin what you do man, its killer shit.
Lady E - E is for extacy hahaha. I still love that joke, and aside from me and Q fighting to the death for your disembodied rack, its all gravy yo! Glad to be gettin you on tracks and just ripping shit. You're insanely talented, and your flow and presence should scare alot of people in the underground if they dont already, just make sure you stay real, and keep doin it.
Tipsy - the promo-queen supreme, except for the promo part. Ahaha. You've had your mixups in the past, whether they be bananas, or ... bunny ears, but you chose your path and you walk it with pride, now that you have Skillz keeping your feet on the ground, I think you're going to make alot of people proud with hypnotiq, and your'e a damn good friend.
Double J00se Supreme - the juicemeister! What can I put here that will sound remotely appropriate? hahahaha .You're the fuckin bomb, and you popping online is like a ticket for me to have a good day, and a weird conversation with links to ugly people, hahaha.
Drama - the lord almighty of merchanidse, jesus christ dude. You've been through alot of shit in your days, but you've always kept being real to yourself as a huge priority, and I can't give you enough credit for it. I know your doing big things, and I'm glad to have you as a homie, you're one of a kind, and we all love ya for it dude.
Hard Target - Life is just getting intresting for you now, aint it? With the new kid, and moving forward as a parent. But, when we chill we both know how shit goes, we get drunk really fast because we both sink quarters, then you go down first, and I puke all over the car. Hahaha, keep grindin fam, and keep lil HT in line hah, BANG!
Big Jac - the mad who i've got for life, like herpes. hahaha. Theres nothing I can possibly say negative about you big homie, since the first time you and I talked I've known I could trust you and rely on you through thick and thin. Even if you do walk into motel rooms wearing a hand towel, and send us all running. You're a gentle giant, with a heart of gold, and I know in time your personal life will start piecing together the way it should man, I've got alot of love and respect for you, because we are infact, family.
Boo Boo - yeah thats right, you and jac go back to back because you two in the same place at the same time is seriously annoying for me!! It's like having a midget and a monster harassing you! haha. Its been so many years, and so many things we've been thru together, and here we are piecing it all back, mending and moving forward to new, and better times, reguardless of all the bad times, the good outweigh them so heavily, thanks for always being there, I love you for it, everyday of the week, and you know that.
Theres alot more people I want to shout out, but typing a paragraph for everyone is kicking my ass so here goes; Noble, Q one A, F.a.T, Lunatock, Cryptic Wisdom, Chris Vetrano, Gina (Lolita Bunny), Humper, BadLuck, Carly, Skillz, Gravity, Lokey, Jasmine, Danielle, Clif, Aubrey, DWK, Mad Max, Theus, Savior, Basick, Se7en, Shade, Projekt MS, Keezie, Graveyard aka Problematic, Menacide, Psycho Jesus, AJ Jordan, Gilgamesh aka Gawd, Todd aka Enzo, Tristan, Intaflex, Skitzo aka Missin Link, Meddasin, Smoke Screem, Trip 6, Jay Dub, Brian C, Sammy, Laura, Toni, NeNe, Mark, Khiafin, Gibran, Adil Omar, Andy Flange, Ashley J, Donnie, Matt, Shadow, Everyone Who Supports OCE or M:I, Big Bent, Bravado, Brick, M-gage, Kollision, Lan C, Mr J Tha Burnin German, New Talent, Katinka-Tunk, Rupee Rich, Slim Shrew, D-Eschelon, DT The Mayor, Dymebagz, Er1ka, Shakelous, Lost Soul aka Spydee, Spic-Tac, Slantize & Shadowville, Sean B & Amy-D, J Bling, Shy Smallz, Casper, Ragged Skull, Ramah, Esobe, Reediculuss, Saint 22, Samm Keno, Pantz & Everyone @ SSR, Everyone at DeadSoundEnt.Com, Everyone at Warlab.com

Fuck This Bullshit
Category: Music
Ok I'm sick of this bullshit going on in the fucking underground right now, and I hit my god damn peak at the motherfucking Americaz Nightmare show we performed at.
Underground rap, is supposed to be a community of artists working together to better their game, their fan base, and their music, not one asshole standing on top looking down going "FUCK YOU". Which became a huge overtone at the A.N show, which is Cap One's tour, but Ignited booked the venue, and for all purposes, held the show together.
Now, Cap One has been around for a minute, and thats all nice and dandy, and whatever the fuck he thinks hes doing right can catch my nuts on his chin.
Me, Grubb, Loka & AJ Jordan were at the venue at 3pm. 2 hours before the artists were supposed to be there, because we wanted to make sure everything went smoothe, we could have just as easily gone and fucked around and done nothing, but we thought "we should go start setting shit up so we dont leave someone else with all the work" and we did. Not our job, but we're about the community, so we went ahead and did it anyway.
We were the only artists there until about 5:15 when Cap One showed up, with 2 guys carrying his merchandise, Cap walks in, walks right past me and AJ, and goes to the bathroom, forgiveable? Sure. If I weighed 800 pounds and I just got out of a car I would have to piss really bad too. But this mofucka, comes back out, plants his fat ass in a chair, and has his 2 chronies set up his "merchandise booth" Duely note; nobody bought SHIT from him.
Cap didnt even take the time to thank us for showing up to perform at his show, or much less acknowledge us until he was RUINING the show lineup by tossing 20 different groups onto the god damn card because they blow him and wash his back. (seeing as hes got some t-rex arms and a body that resembles a hippopotamus)
Then, Cap One whose show it is, whose tour it is, fucks up ALL THE GOD DAMN WORK people had done putting together a lineup for the show, by jumping onstage randomly in the middle of the show and doing his set, then picking up his shit and walking out .... Hey Cap, SUCK MY FUCKING DICK. IT WAS YOUR SHOW, AND MY CREW CO-HEADLINED.
You lazy fat fuck, you went on stage did like 2 songs and left. What a build up to the worst hip-hop I've ever heard in my life. Not to mention your fat ass being on stage at all was a physics equation waiting to be solved, because we could all hear the fucking building creak everytime you took a step.
Then these homo-hippie fucks THC get up onstage, and apparently decided that everyone they've ever met is their entourage, and after their set, take all their homies and split. Yo THC, faggots like you are the reason underground hip-hop looks shoddy, your performance sucked, your music is terrible, and your group concept is the least origional thing I've ever fucking seen. Dissapear. No wonder you named your crew THC, anyone in that building with a hand to hold a mic could've smoked your crew. Btw; tell your Hypeman MC Christmas he can have his balls back after that ass-beating me and Grubb handed him outside.
One man should get credit for this show going on; Ignited. He was the stable dude that held everything together when Cap went and fucked it all up. Ignited, I have the utmost respect for you dude, you're a real motherfucker, and your music is dope. Your down to earth and humble, anytime you need something hit me up, i got you.
You want to know what the real underground is? The people who came to the Americaz Nightmare tour for the community? The real motherfuckers? I'll give you some examples;
JR, Skrapt Soulz, AJ Jordan, Saint Sinna, DZK, MC Shadow, ThA Morgue, Cryptic Wisdom, Finale, Infinite Skillz, Jac Tha Rippa, ABiCA, Dallas Owen, Hard Target, Jay Red, Savior, Mad Max, Clitty, Lawlson, Kollision, Adil Omar, M-Gage, Xtra Sick Clique, Ignited, Claas, Psycho Jesus, Homicide DWK, Lady E, and thousands more.
And by the way, cap one, you dont run, own, or even rent the wicked shit. But from the looks of things, you tried to eat it once, you fat useless fuck.
Real underground rap will live forever, fat fucks and meth freaks die young.
Holla at a REAL underground emcee, B-LeaVe

Another Underground Death
Category: Music
Some of you have, and some of you haven't heard of Clockwork Beats. The better known name for Ray "Clockwork" Kline's beatmaking operation.
On Sunday night, Ray passed away from a "suicidal" overdose of medication, and had been struggling on and off for a while with depression.
Further proof that the underground rap community needs to not only support itself, but we need to work together as a cohesive community to avoid tragidies like this from happening so often.
