Music and Writer Sections added to TAAS Gallery

Folks,

The Applachian Artisan Gallery in Old Fort, North Carolina has created two new sections for writers and musicians (www.taasg.com).  To be eligible to join these sections, you must be located within a 200 mile radius of the gallery.  Information from the gallery is below.

Two NEW Artisan Sections in TAAS-Gallery

We are creating two new special sections in The Appalachian Artisan Society Gallery for local writers and musicians. If you have published a book or several books or produced a packaged CD or several CDs and live with-in our demographic area of acceptance you will want to participate in this great program. The cost to get in is minimal, just an annual membership fee of $50.00 with that fee you will get the opportunity to sell and market your product. TAAS-Gallery has one of the best artisan marketing programs ever developed. Winning praise from its members as a true marketing tool that launches the artists into a global selling platform while maintaining the local presence. With each membership account you get: listed on our Artisan Members Page Listed on our special section page (Local books or Local Music) Have your own webpage which includes: Biography or information Ecommerce shopping cart Login to your account and see all sales transactions Reciprocal web link (if you have a website) Sell your product in the special section in TAAS-Gallery situated in the heart of a revitalizing downtown mountain community, Old Fort.

All sales will be assessed @ just 30%. This is 20% below the typical wholesale to retail pricing that the typical retail outlets would require. Both of these programs will be more successful with a large participation of specialty members. Our goal is to work with at least 25 new members for each group. Updated Information on TAAS Gallery in Old Fort, NC

The Appalachian Artisan Society Gallery (TAAS Gallery), located in Old Fort, North Carolina, has some exciting changes they want to let you know about! 

UPDATE:

(1)  They have just expanded into an adjoining building and added another 1500 SQ FT retail space to their existing gallery. The new section is dedicated to providing Fine Art with an enhanced display space & clutter free shopping experience.  Spaces are still available for artists!   Also, with the addition of this new area, some existing fine art work has moved from the first gallery section, freeing up space there for additional artist/crafters!
 
(2)  Effective immediately - they are expanding their acceptance radius to 200 miles from the gallery so that they can increase their pool of artists and crafters and continue to bring the best products to customers.  With the recent expansion of the Fine Arts gallery, they currently have over 40 spots to fill (recent vendor additions have placed their current vendor number at 60 - they 40 more slots to go to fill their 100 slots!!!)
 
(3)  The gallery has NOW launched it e-commerce/online store!  This new feature to the gallery's web site is a state-of-the-art internet store that features all gallery products that have pictures in their artisan/crafter inventory.  The inventory/tracking system already used by the gallery is superb and the new online store has a simple, elegant, and efficient design that will be a great boost to sales for gallery members.  Members can now sell their products world-wide!!!!
 
(4)  Also, coming this fall, the Catawba Vale Coffee Shop will open up for business.  It will be located in the TAAS-Fine Art building and will serve coffee and may also serve other beverages and light snacks.  This new feature will encourage shoppers to stay and browse longer than they normally would - a great feature for artisan/crafters!
 
(5)  Lastly, TAAS Gallery has been approved as a North Carolina
E-Procurement Vendor.  All gallery items are available for purchase using the NC E-procurement system.  This feature exposes all gallery members to the purchasing power of the state Government and may help open doors to corporate/large business sales also!
 
The TAAS Gallery is a wonderful gallery in Old Fort, NC.  They believe strongly in supporting their gallery members and providing a rewarding shopping experience for their customers.   From all the features mentioned above, to advertising (print and TV) and other support, the Gallery is a great home for local artisans/crafters.  If you haven't visited the Gallery in person, please do so.  Feel free to visit them online also - their website is www.taasg.com.  All local artisan/crafters within the 200 mile acceptance radius should consider becoming a member of the Gallery.  Their rates are low and their support is fantastic!!   We hope to see you there :o)

New Jewelry Testimonial!

Hi everyone,

Last night, in a fit of creative, I put the finishing touches on a custom order of three pairs of earrings for our friend Sarah, a writer of many genres.  I thought I'd share pictures of the earrings, and her comment upon seeing the scans of them, with you.  She wanted each pair to have a separate theme - one combining blue and pink, one using a sea green theme, and one using a surprise theme.  See her finished earrings and her comments below :o)

First Pair - Pink and Blue Theme:  For this pair, I used uniquely shaped blue glass beads, Hematite gemstone beads, pink cat's eye glass beads, and sterling silver findings.

Second Pair - Sea Green Theme:  For this pair, I used uniquely shaped green and lavender beads, Hematite gemstone beads, blue and lavender crackle glass beads, and sterling silver findings.

Third Pair - Surprise Theme:  For this pair, I utilized Malachite gemstone beads, Hematite gemstone beads, Rhodochrosite gemstone beads, and sterling silver findings.  I chose the colors green and pink as they were two of Sarah's favorites.

New Jewelry Testimonial

Hi everyone,

We completed our latest custom order for our friend Michelle and I thought I'd share with you the piece we created for her and her words upon seeing the scan of it.  Michelle was looking for a choker that combined colors of air and water in order to attract certain qualities. She was specifically interested in something using blues and greens with white or silver to add contrast to the piece.  The piece we created for her features Rainbow Moonstone gemstone beads, Malachite gemstone beads, Moss Agate gemstone beads, Blue Lace Agate gemstone beads, Fossil beads, and sterling silver beads and findings.  A picture of it is below, followed by her words upon seeing the scan of it.

Three New Jewelry Testimonials

Hi everyone!

Blue Mountain Designs, our family run business, recently completed three new custom jewelry orders and I thought I'd share the products and our customer's comments upon receiving the scans of the finished pieces. 

(1)  Anzi was looking for a gemstone jewelry set (necklace, bracelet, and earrings) featuring stones whose energy is believed to instill feelings of love and romance; she was working on a romantic writing project and wanted continual inspiration.  We designed her set using these gemstone beads and chips:  Carnelian, Rose Quartz, Garnet, and Moonstone.   We also used Sterling Silver findings.  Photos of her finished pieces are below, along with her comments when she received our scans.

(2)  Kally Jo, a professional writer, was looking for three pairs of earrings, offered through a special Blue Mountain Designs promotion geared towards writers, that utilized the colors pink and blue green.   We created the earrings utilizing Malachite gemstone beads, Rhodochrosite gemstone beads, glass beads, and sterling silver beads and findings.  Pictures of her finished pieces are below, along with her comments.

(3)  Stella, a professional writer, was looking for three pairs of earrings, offered through a special Blue Mountain Designs promotion geared towards writers, that were designed around themes of her coming books.  One was to provide an icy look utilizing blue, white, and silver colors (see first picture).  Another was to use amber and green colors (see second picture), and the third was to use smoky quartz and fire opal stones (see third picture).  Pictures of her finished pieces, along with her comments, are below.

This pair of earrings utilized sterling silver findings, sterling silver beads, Blue Topaz gemstone chips, Blue Laze Agate gemstone beads, and white crackle glass beads.
