My matra is 'Love",  God is love

I breath in and on the exhale I say the word "love" in my mind and I relax or let go on the exhale.
Find your matra, and find peace for while.

A Planted Suggestion.....Why the name Blue Star Incense???
Current mood: artistic

How did I "really" come up with the name for my business???

I find this kind of interesting as to how this came to be….

So I'll start by showing a blog post from http://bluestarincense.com because I'm lazy and don't want to type it out again. lol

Well it's almost time to start selling my incense. But first I would like to tell you the name I settled on…"Blue Star Incense". I almost went with "The Incense Maker" but it seemed to lack something…plus I had a hard time making the labels for it… ha. I was fiddling around with the label for hours and couldn't come up with anything special…so I decided to jam a blue star on the label and call it Blue Star Incense he he. I did think of the name Blue Star a couple of weeks ago though…along with "Blue bird", "White Pedal" and "The Incense Maker" …I was even thinking of calling my incense after my home town "Oshawa" which means "where two rivers meet". But I think Blue Star is much more gimmicky and catchy ha ha. So that's what I've settled on.

Ok so ya know a little more info now…but I'll have to tell you where I really think the name came from. I wasn't even aware until I though about why or how did I think of Blue Star.

Ok I'll finally get to the point {I hope I haven't lost ya  he he}

Well you obviously know I'm into mediation ha-ha if not your blind. J

I bought this mediation CD call "Yoga Nidra Meditation" a year or so ago"

Here's a synopsis of the CD

Yoga Nidra Meditation

Yoga Nidra brings an incredible calmness, quietness and clarity. Yoga Nidra is one of the deepest of all meditations, leading awareness through many levels of mental process to a state of supreme stillness and insight.

Yoga Nidra literally means Yogic Sleep. In this deep meditation you train your attention to leave the chatter of the Waking state of mind, go past the fantasy of the Dreaming state, and consciously, intentionally enter the stillness of the Deep Sleep state, yet paradoxically remain awake and in deep meditation. For thousands of years the Yogis have used Yoga Nidra to master the art of sleep, to balance the subtle energies, and to experience greater depths of meditation.

OK while I was listening to this Yoga Nidra Meditation CD and going into one of the deepest states I've been in. I heard Swami Jnaneshvara Bharati say to focus on my minds eye which is located in the middle of your forehead. While I was focusing he started to say "some people might see with there minds eye…its like seeing a point of light…like a blue star"  then he told me to focus on my right hand…which he then said Blue Star again. He repeated this phrase a couple of more times.

I though to my self why would he say this blue star comment…so on the web I searched and here's what I came up with..

Check out this link.

http://www.ananda.org/Meditation/support/techniques/spiritual_eye2.html

Of course I have never seen this blue star…I don't even know if this is real or not…I'm a sceptic of many things.

This is why I threw the CD out after I read the link above because I didn't want a suggestion planted in my head for me to see this so called "Blue Star" or "higher expression of self-consciousness". It seems to me that he was planting a suggestion of some kind…so I said no thanks and threw the CD in the garbage.

So a year or so goes by and I started to make incense and I needed a name for my business….and I finally settled on Blue Star Incense…ha ha so it looks like a suggestion was planted and it came out in a different form. I didn't really know why I came up with the name "Blue Star Incense"

It really makes you think what else in our lives influence us or our subconscious. Especially the things that happened from our childhood…I can tell you my childhood was rough and I'm fighting my feelings ever day wondering why I feel like I do sometimes.

Anyway, so I do believe I was planted a suggestion and that's where I came up with the name for my business.

LOL so I remembered that the CD was good and since I've already been programmed…I decided to buy it again ha-ha…what a tool right J

I received it in the mail yesterday…I listened to it last night…

I went so deep, my body was like pure energy and I found peace for a little while…so it's all goodJ

Drawing Like Picasso, like rolling half a dice for an empty plate
Current mood: accomplished
Category: Art and Photography

Well where to begin...I guess I'm gona start off by telling you about my latest art piece. Titled: "Drawing like Picasso, like rolling half a dice for an empty plate". I know it's kind of a long title but it describes the piece and what it means.

It all started with the idea that I haven't done any art with the human figure. So I didn't have any "models" at my disposal so I did a search on the good old internet and found my nude...I kind of had fun searching too. lol
ya know I don't even think I kept the original photo...???

Anyway here's the original drawing…I have this hard cover drawing book that I draw in.

So what I did was I scanned the drawing into my computer and manipulated and coloured it in Photoshop.

Here's how that image turned out…

I was going to post it as a finished piece but it reminded me of a Picasso drawing…I mean I am trying to be an original, so I decided to hide it away for awhile.

So a year goes by and while I'm meditating to music I thought of this image again…I knew I liked the image some what, but you know it looked like I was coping Picasso.

So I came up with the idea to do a self criticism…I'm pretty good at that anyway so that's what I decided to do.

So to describe the image further…

As an artist I try to be original but as our subconscious mind is being bombarded with everything that goes on around us. It kind of makes it hard some times to be or to do original work….many artists have this problem.

I do know that we all influence each other on an unconscious level…but when my art starts to look like someone else's I get discouraged, because I'm always striving to try to be an original.

So to decribe the title: "Drawing like Picasso, like rolling half a dice for an empty plate"

hhhhmmmm I was going to explain the title in detail…but I'm not…if you don't connect you don't connect.

So here's my naked self for all to see in my mediocrity.

Title: Drawing Like Picasso, like rolling half a dice for an empty plate.

Peace

Freeing All Forms Of Negativity
Current mood: At Peace
Category: At Peace MySpace

As I allow the orange coloured liquid to enter through the tips of my feet
it slowly fills my whole body...penetrating every cell
The sun that's over head activates the orange coloured liquid
as the negative words are being shouted out
FEAR...ANGER...HATE...
JEALOUSY ..JUDGMENT...

As the suns healing energies penetrates my body's flesh
all forms of negativity are being bled out of every cell
and into the orange coloured liquid
my rusted shackles are beginning to loosen.

As I start to open up the faucets that are attached to each hand and feet
the orange coloured liquid slowly pours out onto the bare floor
bringing with it all forms of negativity that's been trapped deep with in.

As FEAR...ANGER...HATE...
JEALOUSY...JUDGMENT...leaves my wretched body
I begin to breathe in the colour blue…
The colour blue is a healing colour, it heals my body from the many forms of negativity thats been trapped there.

As I open my eyes and look into the sun I start to feel a blissful moment
and a small smile washes over my face.
I can sense that peace is near.

Peace

My Meditation experience
Current mood: calm

Where to begin...I've been meditating for most of my life....but didn't really know it. I guess there are many different forms of meditating. I probably have been doing this since the first time I listened to music.
Every time I would listen to music I would go deep inside, letting the music influence my unconscious mind...sometimes to the point of where I would listen to a whole CD and not even hear the music at all. I would wake up after the CD was over and go what the fuck...I missed some of my favourite tunes. I did this daily as a kid. I would let the music bring about an experience of visions and dreams.

I think that's where my creative side comes from....sometimes I would see whole paintings finished in my minds eye...but never being able to paint them as I seen them . Also this is where I get most of my ideas for my art. I also listen to music while writing poems.

Now I have been getting into the classic form of meditation or hypnotic reprogramming of the mind. I learned through books and CD's and yoga videos.

My favourite is having someone guide me down into the most peaceful places. Don't get me wrong I'm not some weirdo that dances around with a robe and a tambourine...and I don't go around saying peace and love brother peace and love LOL. Ok I'm a little weird : )

Anyway I found this CD off of eBay.....its meditation technic for reprogramming the mind to control the mind and situations that might cause you problems. I listen to it mostly for the level of deep relaxation it brings me.
It's better than any drug I know {never did hard drugs but I have been pretty fuck up on weed and alcohol). lol

This tape makes my body feel like its not "really There"...it feels like I'm  pure energy and other  times I "Feels"  like I'm floating.
If I go deep enough I can't feel my body and in my minds eye I walk in this open black clear space...like walking through a door. Unfortunately if I go that deep I go holy crap and I start thinking again...and it takes me out of that amazing experience.

I writing all this to share with you ...I want the people on my friends list to try this CD and post your experiences that you had while listening to this MP3 I'm going to upload for ya.
You can download it and convert it to a WAV file and than burn it on CD.

Most teachers will tell you to sit down and meditate....but I like to lie down with the lights off.
This is also a great sleeping aide to...If you can't sleep after listening to this than you should get your ass out of bed because you're not going to sleep. lol

So click on the link and listen...than share your experience on this blog.

It's about 38 Megs....so it might take awhile to download...depending on your connection speed.
