Mornin all! If you go to my pics section and click on the album entitled, "Fun with Bobbe, Casey and Charlie", you'll see some whacky photos of yesterday's adventure.
The day started with brunch at a place I have ALWAYS wanted to visit, "Lynn's Paradise Cafe" here in Louisville. They are well known for their eccentricity (right up my alley) and wonderful breakfast fare. The place has been on "Show Down with Bobby Flay" twice I think they beat him twice too.
If you recall, yesterday was supposed to be a day of feeding the spirit and accomplishment. I'm happy to report that mine was JUST THAT. You may think that going to a restaurant isn't all that important and you'd be right. What meant the most to me was being there with Casey and Charlie and all of us getting along and being able to laugh and have fun. It's a rarity that Casey allows photos to be taken and so I was delighted when she did.
We did other silly stuff, par for us...we visited the cemetary just long enough to drop off the spirit of the little girl who's been with us a while. LOL We aren't exactly sure she left but we thought we'd give it a try! We went to the pet store to hold the puppies...ALWAYS a wonderful way to uplift one's spirit, provided you are a person who is able to leave without buying!
I forget which of you told me to go and see the movie, "Mama Mia" but I DID...Casey and I and Charlie went but I have to tell you that just before it started, Charlie had to bail. LOL I don't blame him...he was the only man in the theater and it was good for Casey and I to see this film together. I cried in parts because the characters were so very very similar to us. It was uncanny.
Another highlight was the previews. (can you believe I am saying this? I HATE previews!) BUT...The movie "The Express" is coming out in October and Charlie is IN it. I hadn't seen the trailer and so got very excited. It felt almost like a sign of things to come and I was sorry he wasn't sitting next to me to share in the excitement. They didn't preview it in his theater so I guess I got the sneaky peak! (Yay me)
I have so much more to report but largely I just wanted to thank all of you for being part of my blogs and for participating. I can always feel when you are praying for me and I KNOW that here lately, you all are responsible for the miracles taking place in my life. I hope in some small way to return the favor ten thousand fold.
We are on the way to Mass where I will pray for each and every one of you. Please pray that I can remain motivated and positive. This is the week I have to switch my gears and get on with life. The grief has to be put away and the blinders have to go on. It's crunch time. Time to step into who I really am and stay there.

Well, AFFIRMATION Thursday was a wonderful success so I think we'll be repeating this once a week from now on. Do you all remember my telling you that I was going to start painting again? Well, due to recent events, I never quite got to it but it appears the Universe and my sweet messengers from God are prompting me that now is the time. The other day I put a message out saying I want to make my living doing what I love to do. I want to write for a living and my dream is actually to be able to finish a couple of books, and to be a regular contributor or columnist to a newspaper or magazine. Of course you KNOW I want to write on inspirational subjects because this is what I'm on the planet for! I also want to keep creating and doing things that feed my spirit. I feel it's been stiffled for too long and now it's time to really let loose and see what love brings.
I digress. So the other day I just happened to mention this. See, when we actually take the time to do affirmations (like yesterday), they are carried far and wide. Almost within the hour, I started receiving calls...for paintings. Of course, no one has ordered yet but that's okay...I know it's a sign that this is where my next message will come. The neatest thing was that last night I received a phone call from a fellow clairvoyant. SHE got my telephone number from a lady I did a painting for almost three years ago and she's been trying to contact me for a long time. COME to find out, on Labor Day, Charlie and Casey and I had gone to the flea market where I remember seeing her at her booth. What are those odds? For no apparent reason I stopped there and stood a moment, pointed her out to Charlie and then continued on my way. I told her this last night when she explained who she was. Neato kewl? I think so! Beloved synchronicity!

Sometimes when I'm standing in the eye of the storm I can loose track of who I am and what I mean to people. Although leaving my job of twenty five years has been a wonderful thing, it's also proving to be a challenge. WHAT am I supposed to do NOW? So today I affirm that my next career will have to do with my first love in life...helping others. I want to write and counselof others for a living. This is what I set out to do way back in 1982 when I graduated high school. I allowed family obligation to sideline me from my dreams. That won't happen again.
So when you all are praying, I'd appreciate a few for me that I may find a position/venue, where I can support myself doing what I love: writing, speaking, counseling and teaching.

The occasion calls for performing acts of consideration and good will for the benefit of particular individuals and within the greater community. Be an angel to an elderly or handicapped person by helping him or her cross the street, pick up mail for a friend or neighbor who is away or ill, feed the neighborhood stray cat, or give your time and resources to a charitable cause or organization. Celebrate "Be an Angel Day" by being a positive force in someone else's life, if only for a moment.
Your activities as an angel can take any form you choose, from very casual acts such as helping someone struggling with a heavy bag, adding some coins to a meter that is running low, and holding the door open for whoever you see approaching an entrance, to more involved activities like volunteering regularly at a soup kitchen, community outreach program, or hospital. Focus

Bless ALL of you! I have missed you so much and I'm so sorry I've left my card junkies hanging for so long.
A lot has transpired in my life lately. I KNOW I owe so many of you answers to your beautiful letters and I promise in the coming weeks, I'll get to all the mini-readings and other questions you've sent me.
It's not a huge secret that I've been having extreme difficulty in my personal life. It's always a struggle to figure out what is appropriate to share here and what isn't. Suffice it to say that the announcement that my father was going to close our business and thus, sell all of my clients, was a hard one. What I didn't expect was the enormous impact it would have on my personal life. For the past several weeks I've been dealing with sometimes seemingly insurmountible grief, (which is why I haven't been blogging or online much).
My family is one who has never followed proper boundaries and so my leaving the business has caused undue interferance into my personal life to the point that I've had to emotionally divorce everyone except my daughter. For many months I've endured complete invasion into my privacy to the point where one member actually had Charlie investigated, another spread lies throughout the family tree and so on. In the end, I have just recently been notified that the severance package I was promised has been revolked. I was to have three months pay and now I will receive less than one. Sometimes I feel like an orphan but all is not lost. All along the way, God gives me signs that this is the way it has to be in order for me to blossom and grow. I now accept it and will try not to freak out just yet about how the bills will be paid.
Charlie and I just returned from a wonderful trip to Chicago where we retraced some of his roots, visited with his beautiful and loving mother, brother, Aunt and a lot of friends. One of my favorite days was the day we visited his firehouse and I got to hear first hand accounts of the rescues Charlie made. As if I didn't all ready know, he is quite the hero and the dare devil. Things he did during his career as a firefighter, are still spoken of to this day and I just blushed with glee listening to the tales. I all ready knew most of what they shared, but it was neat to hear their points of view. ALL of the photos from our trip are in my pics section. I WISH I had taken a photo of the crane that sat on top of one of the high rises to show you that he climbed to the top of it carrying a heavy fire house and with no safety line, put out the fire while hot, firey nails shot down at him from above. (I'm glad he's not a fireman any more...ha ha ha)
Another highlight was getting to spend time on the set of A & E's, "The Beast", which is the new series starring Patrick Swayze. Yesterday was Patrick's birthday celebration and so we had cake and spent the day hanging out while he shot. I am pleased to announce that Mr. Swayze is doing very well, he looks wonderful and he has a gentle, un-assuming and very loving personality. Everything you probably thought about him is true. I truly respect him as a person and getting to be right next to him while he filmed was a real treat. My plan was to get him to let me video tape him saying, "Nobody puts BOBBE in the corner!" and I swear, just as I was getting ready to do it, my stupid camera batteries died. In the shot below, he had just pointed right at me but I got stuck and got this instead. Who cares, it was such an upbeat experience! I'm so happy his health has taken a turn for the best!
Another highlight was getting to spend the entire day with Bruce Brummel. This is a man we are all going to be hearing more about in the months and years to come. Charlie has blogged a little bit about a film we are working on for the future. I'll probably get my account deleted for writing this, but it's important for all of us to note that there are things going on in this country that are affecting our health. Government officials absolutely know about it and have hid it for years. Bruce's story has been published in a number of papers and we are involved in his fight to expose what is going on. In short, he has pancreatic cancer and it could have been prevented. (NOT so coincidentally, this is the same cancer afflicting Swayze). Here is a pic of Charlie and Bruce and Charlie's brother, Bob, holding up the paper that talks about Bruce's fight.
I'll talk more about this project at a later date.
What I really wanted to share with you was this wacky photo...
We were standing there, obviously taking our own photo from the reflection of this crazy "bean" structure in Chicago. That little girl showed up when we looked at it. Neither of us saw her prior to or after taking the photo. What's interesting to me is that she looks familiar. Do you remember the blog I did about our visiting the cemetary...I took a photo (it's in my pics section) of a creepy headstone that had a full-bodied little girl on top of it. During that same visit, I also entered a grave site that was behind a fence and Charlie SAW the fence fly open after I'd left and closed it behind me. For a couple of weeks following, we had some "visitors" in the house. It didn't bother me but Charlie kept saying he felt someone had come with us.
When I look at this little girl, she reminds me of the one from the cemetary. WEIRD? ha ha I think so, but it's just a regular part of my life. I thought you'd like to see it.
Okay this is long. I really just wanted to check in and say hello and tell you that I've not dropped off the earth. I'll be back soon and with lots of good news. The film Charlie and I and Michele Ford have written is just about finished and ready to get going. It's entitled, "Bluegrass Run" and soon enough you'll be seeing more about it. It's exciting and scary at the same time! I never dreamed in a million years that I would be involved in screen writing but here I am.
Please continue to remember me in your prayers. The next two weeks are important ones in our lives. I have so much more to share with all of you but for now, this has to be the end of my little love note.
