So I just got back to Houston from my trip to NYC. I was there to shoot "Live at Gotham" for Comedy Central. I feel very lucky to have been picked to tape the show and met some great people with Comedy Central. The taping was awesome and should be airing after Memorial Day. I stayed with my recently transplanted to New York from Houston buddy Paul Oddo in Brooklyn. Paul has a beautiful couch with a new dent in it that he’ll show you if you ask him nice. I stayed for eight days and did sets at all the big clubs. I got to go up at Stand Up NY, Carolines, Broadway Comedy Club, Laugh Factory (Funny Biz), and my most proud accomplishment the world famous Comedy Cellar. My friend and great comic Kevin Brennan really hooked me up at the Cellar. I’ve got some great things upcoming and will keep you posted.
Mason Lerner a comic from Austin who freelances for the Houston Chronicle wrote this story about the "business" of Comedy. It’s a short interview with me where he asks me about 5 questions. You can read it in about 3 minutes. Let me know what you think.
I'm gonna tear NYC a new one next week. I'll be taping Comedy Central's Live at Gotham on Sat March 8, 10pm show. I also have some sets at various NYC clubs. Check my calendar for the times. Some more great things are on the horizon and I'll keep you posted.
