1. I'm a very picky eater. Especially veggies. I was forced to eat them as a child, even if I didn't like them. So, as an adult not a big veggie eater. But there are a few i like.
2. I've travel to England (twice), Wales (twice) & Ireland.
3. I collect Dragons
4. I read alot. But if you read my blog you know that already. But it's pretty big for me. I hated reading in school, cause I was slow at it. It was the same through high school. I even remember the last book i had to read my senior year, cause it was so bad. LOL! The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway. OMG that book was so unbelievely boring.
5. I love 80's music.

Review: Two things attracted me to this book. Firstly the cover, it's pretty great. Sadly the cover is very misleading. Our girl Heather doesn't dress like this anywhere in the story. Nor is there mention of a tattoo on her arm. I know Authors don't have much say in the cover art but, I always find it sad when the covers don't match the story or characters at least a little. And the second thing that drew me to this book is that it takes place in New Orleans. I have never been there myself, so I love reading books that take place there.
This is an Urban Fantasy novel, no denying it. It's dark & action filled and bloody at times. This was a good read. I really enjoyed reading the two main characters, Dante & Heather. They are what stood out for me. Dante is every bit the mysterious vampire and Heather the non-believer right up until she sees proof. This is a must read for any fan of Urban Fantasy.

I'm back home now. I spent the last day and a half in Duluth. This is my 3rd trip up there. We were suppose to stay until Wednesday, but decided to come back early.
We stayed at a nice hotel. But the bad part was that the beds were very hard and very uncomfortable. One of the reasons we came back early. Even the though the weather was shitty (rain, windy and in the 40's) it was a pretty good time.
Went to a bunch of shops, Great Lakes Aquarium, Lake Superior Zoo, Lake Superior Maritime Visitors Center, took the trolley to Figter's Brewery & Museum (which contains those two places plus shops, restaurants and a hotel).
In my pic section there are some pictures from my trip. Most are from the Zoo. It was fun time, but I'm glad to be back home.

LOVER ENSHRINED
If you haven't read the Black Dagger Brotherhood... well that's just crazy. Get out there and read it you won't be disappointed! :) This is the 6th book in the series, and they just keep getting better and better. The author is truly a talented writer. It was amazingly intense. In this installment J.R. Ward really gifted her fans with so much information about the world and the people in it. This book wasn't just revolving around the main two characters, there were quiet a few story lines going on, and it was great learning more about the characters.
Book Description: Fiercely loyal to the Black Dagger Brotherhood, Phury has sacrificed himself for the good of the race, becoming the male responsible for keeping the Brotherhood's bloodlines alive. As Primale of the Chosen, he is to father the sons and daughters who will ensure that the traditions of the race survive and that there are warriors to fight those who want all vampires extinguished. As his first mate, the Chosen Cormia wants to win not only his body but his heart for herself- she sees the emotionally scarred male behind all his noble responsibility. But while the war with the Lessening Society grows more grim, and tragedy looms over the Brotherhood's mansion, Phury must decide between duty and love.

Packing...

Tomorrow I'm heading up North for a few days. I'm in the midst of packing. I really hate packing. Over the years I've realized that I'm a girly-girl when it comes to packing.  No matter how well I plan I always end up bring way too much stuff. I guess I just like to be prepared. So, for this trip I'll have a big duffle bag, backpack and my laptop. Which isn't so bad, at least I don't have to drag the suitcase with me. But I'm sure I still over packed. LOL!
