Paparazzi game for Google Android Platform
Current mood: happy
Category: Games
I'm happy to release my new innovative game for the Android developer contest.
Overview ----------- "Paparazzi" was designed to use the built-in phone camera in the first person real-life multiplayer game. This is a prototype of location based MMORPG which will combine all new Android features like gps/compass/camera. Just imagine that you will be able to see virtual objects via phone camera. Thats what I call "virtual reality".
Usage -------- You have to get maximum score in shooting your opponents via phone camera. Use your phone camera to catch your opponent flash light inside a rectangle in the center of the screen. Control the distance as your opponent flash light must be no more than 1/10 (one tenth) of the rectangle in the center of the screen during a shot. Press any key to fire. You can proove all of your successfull shots using "Score" menu item.
Limitations -------------- As well as currently there is no support for Camera Flash API in the Android SDK the phone flash camera must be enabled (turned on) externally. Also any suitable light source can be used in case of camera flash unavailablity. Light detection was calibrated using LED based camera flash on Nokia N95 but it must be suitable for the most of spot like, mid bright light sources.
You can get the preview version of the game using this link.
