Whats happening now?

So it's been quite a while since you've heard from us, hasn't it? Well there has been a lot going on so lemme give you the rundown. First off we would like to tell everyone of the opening of Barry and Joseph's new recording studio RETRO CITY in Philadelphia. After years of recording in different studios they finally designed and built a full on facility from pretty much the ground up that can handle all aspects of recording comfortably. It truly is one of a kind. "We know how it is to be the artist and have your music mean everything to you. And finding the right studio where they not only understand your vision but make you feel at home is so important. That's what we're doing here." says Joseph about recording at Retro City.     Secondly, all the members are currently working on their respective music projects that should see some releases in early 2009. Barry wrote and recorded an album of stellar material called "The Precious Few" which features Joseph on drums as well as tons of other great musicians. Expect to start hearing songs from the forthcoming album in late fall '08. He is also writing and recording with his original band MONEYGRIP and will be playing select live performances whenever he feels like it. Mac has been writing solo material which can only be described as Tom Waits meets the Full House theme song. It totally rules, the only problem is that he's slow on recording and releasing it. But don't worry he'll put out something, at least on the net, soon, so sit tight! Joseph has been doing some session drumming but is mainly concentrating on his new band "Attic Dancers" which features the wondrous talent of Sean and Carly ;) Their first album is currently in the mixing stage and will be out in early 2009. Also he is a part of the electro/hip-pop team FRESH FACED TEENS which will also be releasing the first album in early 2009 as well as some live performances... so go ahead and Get Fresh to Death Ya'll!! And unless you have been living in a cave for the last year you have heard of Joe Pulito's new rock powerhouse I KNOW THE STRUGGLE. They have finished recording an albums worth of material that will be periodically released as some of the most rockin singles your ears can handle. They began playing live in July '08 and will be constantly adding new shows and tour dates so check their site often for updates. Joe is also booking and promoting shows in the NJ/Philly area through JV CONCERTS. So go check it out if ya know whats good for ya.
    So yeah, thats whats been happening in the post-Break Away world. Lots going on now and much more to come, we'll be sure to post information as we get it. Thanks for being awesome!

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is included in all the prices listed in the store. There will be no extra money charged for shipping costs.



How long will it take for me to receive my order?

Orders are shipped out as soon as your card is cleared through paypal. With packaging and shipping it should take about 4 -7 days at the most.





What is a Digital EP and how will I receive it?

Our two older CD's are currently out of print, but we still wanted to have the music for everyone so we decided to try this. When you order one we will email you a link where you can download a .zip file that will include the original artwork and all the highest quality mp3's.

It was this time four years ago that the idea of Break Away began to come together. The four of us had just left our previous lives behind and began to look at the future with total excitement and passion. We wanted to explode on to the scene with a big ..fuck you.. to the lazy, conformist, stale music scene we had previously been apart of, and so we did, and it has been one hell of a ride. Unfortunately the years of hard work has taken its toll. Not only on our personal lives but even more on our friendships with each other. So we have sadly decided to go our separate ways. Don..t get the wrong idea. We do not hate each other, quite the opposite. This whole experience made us brothers. We have been through a lot together in these four years, and have seen things, met people and shared experiences we will never forget. The main reason we made it this far is because of all the amazing people who supported us through the years. The ones who came to our shows, bought our albums and sang every word. Maybe we didn..t change the world like we hoped, maybe we did and we just don..t know it yet, it really doesn..t matter. We did it our way, and we don..t regret a thing. For rock..s sake we..re worn out, so its time for us to say goodbye.

We have decided to play one final show. It will be at the Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia PA. on January 14, 2007. It will be THE LAST TIME that we will ever perform together. This will be a very special show dedicated to everyone who has supported us, so please come and spend the night with us. We will be playing with all of our amazing friends bands so let..s make it an epic night! Tickets will be on sale soon so keep checking back here and at www.thetroc.com for all the details.

Joe Pulito is laying the ground work for his next musical endeavor. While doing so he will continue to book show with JV Concerts and will popping up here and there filling in for a bunch of bands. As for the other guys nothing is set in stone for them yet, but check back to see what everyone is up to.

Grand opening, new online store!

THAT's RIGHT! The new online store is up and running!! Let me tell you a couple things about it:

First things first, as we promised, we opened up the vaults with a ton of video footage located at our official YouTube site! We have a ton of old, rare live footage that has never been seen before plus a bunch of other stuff so go check it out!

We are putting the finishing touches onto our brand new, internationaly firendly online store! This one will be able to accept currencies from all over the world which makes us one step close to our ultimate goal of world domination. The new site should be up early next week.

Hey guys,

First and foremost a big thank you to everyone who has been adding us lately! I can't believe we have exceeded 30,000 and are still growing! We are really sorry that we don't get a chance to say thanks individually, but know that we truly appreciate the support.
