"How do people, like, not curse? How is it possible? There are all these gaps in speech where you just have to put a 'fuck.' I'll tell you who the most admirable people in the world are: newscasters. If that was me, I'd be like, 'And the motherfuckers flew the fucking plane right into the Twin Towers.' How could you not, if you're a human being? Maybe they're not so admirable. Maybe they're zombies."

I'm jazzed that it's almost concert time again. And as such I came upon this little video with Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump. I had to post it. More for me, than for you reader. He's my favorite Fall Out Guy and he's so cute in this clip because he's so excited about the songs he's chosen.
So a while back I wrote a blog about the TV show Prison Break and about how I love the use of big words and one such word was used in the show. And I particularly liked it because it was used by one of the characters, Michael (played by Wentworth Miller). Translation: He's not too bad on my looky balls. Here's the mercurial blog.
Anywho...I recently read an article with Mr. Miller and he melted my insides down again with the use of the word, penultimate (which means next to last).
If you could see me right now, you'd see that I'm all sighs. I'm such an uber dork.
I went to SJSU today for the admitted student reception and got aquainted with the place. Took the tour with an awsome student tour guide and I'm super stoked about going there in the Fall. It's been a long time coming, (due to uncertainty mostly) but FINALLY it's right there. I'm right there. And it's smiles all around.
So my good buddy Serena just gave me the official, "Tag- You're It!" blogstyle. Meaning, once you are tagged; you have to write a blog with 6 weird things/habits about yourself. Then you need to pick 6 other people to tag and list their names. Then, leave them a comment saying, "You've been tagged" and tell them to read your blog. It's that simple!
1) I've been reading and watching a lot of Harry Potter and now I wish I wasn't a Muggle.
2) Fear is becoming more of a driving force for me. Doing things that I'm afraid of or nervous about is kinda starting to be fun. Facing fear is fun? That is wierd.
3) In the 6th grade I wanted the style that Clarissa and Blossom had. Whoa!
4) My main choice of music when I was nine: THE CARPENTERS. Loved them! Karen Carpenter's voice made me think I could sing! Now that's power!
5) I put Ketchup on my scrambled eggs.
6) Since I turned 26, I've found that my celebrity crushes are older gents. Not George Hamilton older gents, but more like, say...Stephen Colbert or Patrick Dempsey. Not that they are way older just not around my age. That's all I'm saying!
It wasn't me, it was Cooper!
Current mood: Amused and a little tired
You ever have that moment when your dog farts and you make eye contact with him after you've just yelled "HEY!?" His eyes look as if they're saying, "Sorry" and "I could really care less that you can smell that air biscuit I just baked."
Well, I farted earlier today and Cooper and I had that moment after I yelled "HEY!" And the eye contact that followed were my eyes saying, "Sorry" and "You do it!" And then he just went back to lying on his pillow.
Somewhere in the middle of all this, I realized that my rump grenade smelled like one my mom tossed out (on accident of course) when I was a wee lass. (Ah, smells. They have a way of nostalgia about them sometimes, don't they?) So after the eye contact with Cooper, my thoughts went to, I just farted and it smelled like that time Mom farted. Oh, crap. I hopethatisn't the beginning of the turning into Mom phase.
Don't you just feel closer to me now?
(No pets or humans were harmed in the course of the aforementioned events.)
LIVE MUSIC ROCKS! I love the fact that if you don’t know a band, you get to. And going to a live show, can make or break your opinion of a band. That is quite cool...especially if they tickle your ears fancy.
Last night April and I went up to SF to see the British band, Hard-Fi. Despite feeling a bit like a sardine it was quite a groovy little show. We actually lucked out earlier in the day as LIVE 105 had a free show at The Blank Club during the lunch hour with these guys. So even if we were crammed at the SF show, the lunch show left us free to get our rock on!
Okay that was such a nerdy thing to say. BUT at the SF show we got introduced to another UK band, Black Wire who were so unbelievably cool that being jammed up against a wall by total nob-heads who didn’t give a flying F that they were being so, was not such a suck-ass time (some of our fellow wall flowers were quite lovely and had perfectly lovely British accents to go with the fact that they were of the male persuasion)....Mmm, tasty.

"Fresh starts. Thanks to the calendar, they happen every year. Just set your watch to January.
Our reward for surviving the holiday season, is a new year. Bringing on the great tradition of New Year'sResolutions--Put the past behind you and start over.
It's hard to resist the chance of a new beginning. A chance to put the problems of last year to bed.
[But] who gets to determine when the old ends and the new begins? It's not a day on a calendar. Not a birthday. Not a new year.
It's an event.
Big or small, something that changes us. Ideally, it gives us hope. A new way of living and looking at the world...Letting go of old habits...old memories...
What's important, is that we never stop believing we can have a new beginning. But it's also important to remember that, amid all the crap, are a few things really worth holding on to."
-- Merrideth, Grey's Anatomy "Begin the Begin" (2006)
