More Bards videos from Ireland!

Several of these have better audio than the first few. Check them out!

Fellowship of the Ring. A wonderful instrumental from Memories of Middle Earth, performed live at Brigid's Garden.

The Heart of Fangorn. Another song from Memories of Middle Earth, performed live at Brigid's Garden. From the Marc angle!

The Heart of Fangorn. Another recording of "The Heart of Fangorn" performed live at Brigid's Garden, from the Andrew angle!

Buttercup's Lament. Performed live at Brigid's Garden.

Beer, Beer, Beer. Performed live at Cromleach Lodge.

Liquid Sunshine and Garry Owen Set. Fair and balanced face-time for both Bards!

New Bards videos on Youtube!

Our friend and traveling companion Kevin is posting some of the videos he took of us performing in Ireland!

Seven Drunken Nights (the nausea-inducing handheld bus-with-no-shocks-cam version, a la Blair Witch Project)

Exclamations (live from the hotel bar and lounge in Cromleach Lodge)

Beer Beer Beer (the jazzed-up version; live from the hotel pub in Adare)

Rosie (Marc improvises a song about a dog at the request of two adorable little Irish girls who had sneaked into the pub in Adare; they were part of the wedding party sharing our hotel)

Stay tuned to Kevin's video stream for more live Brobdingnagian Bards in Ireland! :-)

Last Brobdingnagian Bards Tour of Ireland Ever!

Marc says:

I paid the final bill for the Brobdingnagian Bards Tour of Ireland to Celtic Ways. Eight days in one of the most-beautiful countries on the planet. Due to the weak American dollar and lower than expected attendance, we are losing money, but it's IRELAND. So I can't complain too much. Tickets are all booked up. We are ready to go!

Because of the low attendance, we came to a tough decision today. This is the last Brobdingnagian Bards Tour of Ireland. That's right bardic vacations are no longer in our foreseeable future. I was hoping to do Scotland and Europe in the future, but I'm forced to admit that it doesn't look the demand is strong enough to do these trips.

That said, we do still have room for about four more people on this final tour. So if you were wanting to join us in Ireland. This is indeed your last chance. Right now, the website says it'll cost you $2600 for the land travel and all meals. However, if you email me [marc at thebards dot net] before Friday, May 2nd, I'll knock off $100. But I need to know ASAP. So contact me soon!

Meantime, I'll be practicing my Irish songs for great music and craic!

The fee is just $2600 for 8 days in one of the most remarkable countries on the planet!

Right now, Aer Lingus has $299 one-way ticket specials, too. What have you got to lose? It's going to be fantastic. Take it from me; I went last year. --Cara

Brobdingnagian Bards Win Best Folk Band in the 07-08 Austin Music Awards!

Marc says:

A couple of weeks ago we got our third invite to the Austin Music Awards. And I’m happy to say we won once again, this time in the category I wanted for several years now-Folk Music. In previous years, we took Best Novelty and Best None of the Above, which both sorta fit an aspect of our music styles, but ultimately, we play folk music. So I was really hoping we could pull a win in that category. And lo and behold we did.

So I want to thank each and every one of your who voted for us this year. It really means a lot that you believe in our music that much!

Slainte!
