I have decided that going into the new year..... I will be combining my myspace profiles, so that I can get more traffic out of my music profile, and have everything in one place..... sooooooo  I would love to have you as a new friend in my profile... (my music profile that is) which is under construction....

Ok... I bought 5 different flavors of Hershey Kisses today at the store (and have a 6th flavor at home) none of which were the original milk chocolate variety.  First beer, then ice cream, then kisses....I have a problem, don't I? Variety is the spice of life, right???

As far as yesterday's blog goes........I will try to take your requests, one at a time in "Ask the Tenor" style and see what we can do to answer your questions about yesterday's blog!

Dear tenor, uhm... george clooney is from KY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You didn't attempt the run, I don't think that counts.... Yeah children's choirs...I used to direct one!!!! - the Mezzo in KY P.S.  Are you sure you don't want to be a lawyer when you grow up?   Dear Martina,          I was walking to hear a carillon concert, and the guy I was with (who happened to be the opera director at the University of Florida) looks at me and says.  "You kinda have the George Clooney thing going on!"   Now I took this as a huge compliment, since George Clooney (according to People magazine) is the sexiest man alive.  Now, having this comment come from a straight man, I am not sure if I should take it as a compliment.  I will though.... If I have the Clooney thing going on, I must be really sexy.       Thursday, before I left for my trip, I decided to try find a road race to run in!  I was hoping to get a t-shirt out of the deal and 3 miles of exercise.  I picked what seemed to be a nice little run outside of Orlando called the Elf Run!  I preregistered online, and at the time there was only one other person in my age group, and they were giving away awards 3 deep, so I was all but guaranteed a tshirt and a medal or trophy.  Mind you, I have not gotten a medal or trophy for running in 15 years, and even then, it was usually by default, but hell... this would be pretty cool.       So...I get up at 5 am on Saturday morning (having sung in a concert the night before) and drove to Orlando (about an hour away) getting to where the race was to start about an hour prior to race time.  There was not a sole to be found there!  I was at a loss, perhaps I had the directions wrong.  But I look again.  I am at the Gold's Gym in the middle of Nowhere, FL.   I drive around town for a half an hour.  I find nothing. I attempt to call the local police force.  They don't answer the phone.  I refuse to call 911, as this is really no emergency!  By the start of the race (8:15)  I still haven't found it.  So I get some gas in the car, go through the McDonald's drive thru, and get myself some greasy food to make myself feel better.  Needless to say, I was pretty much exhausted the rest of the day!       I get home late Saturday night, check my email, and I have a reminder notice for the road race..... the SUNDAY road race!  I missed the damn race.  Then to add insult to injury, they posted the race results online, and there was only one person in my age group....and he ran the 5k in almost 33 minutes.... I have never run a 5k that slowly...so I would have won my age group!!!!  I got a totally raw deal!      As far as being a lawyer when I grow up.....I don't plan on growing up to be a lawyer, especially after the events of Sunday afternoon!  ....to be continued!
