Regrettably, Bullet For My Valentine has had to drop off the final five dates on the Taste of Chaos tour. Band bassist Jay James rushed back to the UK this past Friday night to be with his 2-year old daughter who had been hospitalized. Bullet's Matt, Padge and Moose played two abbreviated shows (San Jose/April 12 and Sacramento/April 13) with their guitar tech, Kevin Papworth, sitting in for Jay on bass, but the band is not comfortable with not being the best they can be.
The band is very sorry that they will not be able to play for their fans in Seattle and Canada, but will look forward to having another opportunity when they come back to North America this summer.
The band also asks that you keep Jay's daughter and her speedy recovery in your thoughts.

Bassist/backing vocalist Jason "Jay" James of BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE has had to fly home from the band's current U.S. tour in order to tend to his ailing daughter, and after some consideration, the band have decided to cancel all remaining Taste of Chaos dates as well.
Speaking from San Jose, California, where the group played at the weekend as part of the 40-plus-city North American Taste of Chaos trek alongside AVENGED SEVENFOLD and ATREYU, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE guitarist/vocalist Matt Tuck explained, "Jay had a call last night about his little girl. She's very, very ill — she's in the hospital. I'm not gonna go into too much detail 'cause that's obviously his personal stuff — but she's very ill and he had to fly home straight away, which obviously is the correct thing to do, and he wants to be there by her bedside and hopefully she's gonna pull through. He didn't have any choice — he had to go home — and that was totally fine with us. So for tonight, we've got our guitar tech Kevin on bass, and we've got about five songs nailed — we're confident he can do five. We're gonna give it a shot. It's devastating for all of us, and we're all very worried, but we're gonna go on tonight, see how it goes and that's it, really — it's all we can kind of do. We owe it to the fans that come tonight, obviously."
After that show, the band and management decided they couldn't continue without Jay on the TOC dates, and have flown home to be with their friend and band mate.
The band will restart dates from their Australian tour at the beginning of May.

There is an internet scam going on. Someone named / or calling themselves JENNIFER WEDS (promotions@tasteofchaos.com), we believe, is charging $95 for two VIP tickets. She is claiming to be the tour's promotions marketing person. We're currently investigating the situation, in hopes of finding out who this person is, for further investigation. People are being sent emails, printing them out, and bringing them to the box office for entry. THIS IS A SCAM.
Here is what the letter says:
Dear ______: You have been chosen to receive two VIP tickets for the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour! Your name will be on the will call list plus one guest. Please be sure to bring a print out of the email and your photo ID when picking up your tickets. Will Call will be open one hour prior to showtime. Have a great time and keep rockin!

Others letter are more specific and say within the body:
"receive two VIP tickets for the Rockstar Taste of Chaos Tour 2008 in Denver, CO on February 29th, 2008. Your name will appear on IDIOT PILOTS guestlist. Please bring a valid photo id."... " This guestlist spot is valid for you PLUS ONE GUEST"
Again, this is a SCAM and this will become a police matter!
The tour always prides itself on giving our audiences the best experience and when something like this happens it really sucks!
