Oh, I almost forgot...
Current mood: crazy
Category: Jobs, Work, Careers

17th March, we've got a day in one of Norway's best studios. Hopefully, we'll get to record at least two songs, but we'll try to do as many as possible. We might travel back to Oslo later to have another day. But it's quite expensive, to use a gentle expression, so we need to fix some money in a way. But, hey, one day is better than no days. We're all very, very excited about this, and the fact that Turbonegro recorded parts of their last album, Retox, in the very same studio, makes our heads explode when thinking about the upcoming studio-day.

The Russian audience loved our show!
Current mood: fabulous
Category: Travel and Places

Our trip to Russia went really well even though we didn't get to warm up for Ralph Myerz due to some serious delays caused by strict border-crossing controls. The concert only lasted for one hour and when we were supposed to play (after the Ralph Myerz show because of the delays), the electricty on stage broke down. We still got to meet Ralph Myerz and we had played a show earlier that day, so we were kind of tired. Therefore, it wasn't such a big disappointment that we didn't get to play.

The next day we were off to Zapoljarny to play there. After a lot of equipment carrying and sound checking, we were ready to play. The concert went really well for all of the Norwegian bands participating in the Barents Border Rock project. The Russian bands probably did a great concert too. After the show, the weirdest thing we've ever experienced happened. The Russian people acted all crazy. It seemed like they thought we were some kind of Norweigan rockstars. They invaded the backstage area and we almost had to evacuate from there. Girls started crying and everybody wanted to take pictures of us and we signed autographs until we all had cramps in our hands. People gave us flowers and some of the boys from Norway we travelled with (Glutius Maximus) got some very sleezy offers from crazy girl fans. We truly felt like rockstars, it was incredibly fun!

Hopefully we'll get to go to Russia several times this year.

Emergenza
Category: Travel and Places

Tomorrow we're off to Russia to play a few gigs, participating in a youth project or whatever. We're also going to warm up for Ralph Myerz & The Jack Herren Band on their gig at Club Oasis in Nikel. Hopefully it will be really, really great. We can't wait to travel! Today is probably going to be a terrible day, because it will seem as if it will never pass.

March 14th, we're off to Oslo to play at the Emergenza festival. We're playing at Betong on sunday 16th. If you're in the area, come and show your support and vote for us!

Progress!
Current mood: creative
Category: Goals, Plans, Hopes

So the Burkas has finally got started rehearsing and making new material again after a long, long break!

The new shit is awesome but a bit different, since we now have to work with only one guitar. Our target is to have a crazy, incredible and magnificent set ready for next summer. The plan is also to record something before next summer, but we'll see.

Soon, we're going to Murmansk, Russia, to play a gig on one of the largest hotels in the city. Hopefully, it's going to be great.

If my guitar doesn't show up soon, I think someone must send me to an institution for mental cases..... Seriously! I'm dying!

Give me patience... Now!

The new crew
Current mood: HAPPYHAPPY

We're sorry to announce that Trude and Martine got kicked out of the band. Things that we all have been waiting for in about a half year happened, and really was for the best.

Right now we know what to do. We currently don't have a place to rehearse, and new recordings seems pretty far away. The songs need to be re-arranged for one guitar, and the bass also need to be fixed a bit. Right now, it sounds pretty lousy, but give us time.

It will finally be fun to play in the band again. Now that the two main troublemakers are gone.
